Fell off my regime, and am back on it, yay!

Eating my veggies, fasting, and made a wonderful scallop dish with dried onion, garlic, chicken broth, olive oil, white wine, dill, and fresh parsley. Served with sides of peas with pimento and mushrooms and green beans with olive oil

Did a lot of household chores today, heavy house work, shampooed the bedroom rug, several loads of laundry, 3 flights of steps.

Stopped eating my 6 pm which is unlike me. Hopefully, I can get a lot of fasting hours in as my BG was so high today! My fever is back.

I am incorporating more veggies. I did a pork soup with fresh dill and fresh arugula. It was excellent!

I did very well until I lost my appetite!

Must get back to it. We are having lots of nice salads, spring mix, arugula, homegrown tomatoes, and fresh lemon juice. It supports my leafy green requirement. I eat colorful fruit for my color category, and I need more sulfur based veggies. After they recalled onions, I stopped eating them.

I have eggplant and mushrooms to fix for tomorrow!

Moving more is good. I have been moving more in the house and taking the steps more as I am cleaning out a room downstairs. It will serve as the pantry.

How goes the veggie add-in @BECCABOO127 ?

I'm trying to make the time & effort to MOVE more. It worked for today! emoticon
A bit of challenge has come from going on 2 wks of fairly hot days + the days are getting dark earlier. Since my nights & days are still "confused", I haven't been able to get up & going before the heat sets in.

All is never lost!

Good for you!

I did four nights of daily IF and my blood glucose is normalized.

Lower carb compliant, too.

In four months I finally had a challenging week! I lost focus - company, high carb food, missed tracking, sporadic fasting, ahhhh! Weight crept up a few pounds.

Today I am back on track! Last night the book club finale was carrot cake with icing, which I made! I am fasting now, had only black coffee this morning and for lunch, and will have a nice healthy dinner tonight. All is not lost!

Had a 17 hour fast! It really lowered my appetite today, (and so did my pneumonia vaccine). emoticon

I sleep pretty well these days, too.

I am incorporating other protocols with Fung, like the Wahl's protocol for autoimmune conditions and MS.

Wahl has one eating so many veggies, that my little rash that I had for years turned into a big itchy rash. I am doing further research on a low histamine diet and improving.

It is funny how improving your diet in some ways can make other issues crop up. At least there is research out there about these new fangled conditions!

I have been I.F. for about a month. In that time I have cut my B/P meds in half and lost 10lbs. I've never slept so well through the night. I had been a middle insomniac sleeping from about 9-12, wide awake between 12-3, and then try to sleep until at least 6am. Now I sleep until the call of nature around 11, and am able to go right back to sleep until my alarm goes off!

I was overdoing at first worrying about dehydration that my urine was actually clear. However, after my kidney gave me some warning signs and I did some more reading I am back on the right track. I average 80oz on non-eating days and 60oz on eating days.

I feel my whole body is now on the right track. I actually feel hungry when off the fasting protocol; a sensation I've never let myself feel before.

Another day older. Another day bolder.

Hi, I am back on Spark. My greatest success was stopping, after 50 years, counting calories and believing that it was my fault for being obese all my life. Even after losing 100 and 150 pounds I gained most back and now understand that despite the social and self-judgments, it is not my fault. I began dabbling in meditation two years ago and intermittent fasting about that time, too? And I think the stars are lining up for me to commit to both iin a stronger way than ever. This is so not about food and excercise. To me, it is about knowing my place in the world.

I have yet to be consistent over time (beyond "months"). STRESS is the trigger that kicks me out of doing what works for me. -- At those times, it seems that something else "controls" my actions, responses, and eating.

I have just completed 60 days of intermittent fasting, eating two meals per day, removing breads and processed foods, and no snacking after dinner. Im down 25 pounds! I aimed for 1,200 calories (with fewer carbs, which naturally increased fats and proteins), but most days I was slightly lower as it seemed like too much food at one sitting. The morning hungry sensation does pass and reminds me that my body is getting energy from within. The first month I aimed for a 16/8 schedule. The second month I challenged myself with an 18/6 schedule, extending to a 20/4 on occasion. I now find it easy to say no to refined carbs and sweets. I think I have found my secret to success. Month #3, here I come!
