i haven't used a fasting app, though another sparker recommended one. it was @JASMINE2019 who recommended it. i tried looking for it but it won't install on my device even long enough to take a look at it. i think i'm like you @_RAMONA it would be a distraction. i get pretty focused on what i'm doing and don't pay attention to much else (other than thirst)

I guess I'm different in that regard... when it comes to fasting, I find the 'noise' of others a distraction... comparing myself to others interferes with me hearing my own body's authentic voice/rhythm. The more I can settle into myself, the better fasting goes... for me it's all about stilling the 'noise' within/without, and after three years of consistent IF and many extended water-only fasts (3-30 days), fasting is just second-nature.

I hope you find your sweet spot again! Nothing more healing and soothing to the body than fasting.

Have you seen these (google is great, LOL)?

Dr. Jason Fung: "Holy consensus, Batman. With so many 'experts' from Michelle Obama to the USDA to virtually all of the medical professionals (including doctors and dieticians) agreeing that 'Eat Less, Move More' is the way to go, you might think that it is 100% unquestionably true. But here's a queer thought... if we all agree that we know the cure for obesity, and we've spent billions on educations and programs - why are we getting fatter? In other words, why does this 'cure' suck so bad?

I've gone back to it as I stopped fasting for a while. Having it ticking on my phone just reminds me until I get it re-ingrained in my head not to put anything in my mouth. After I have a solid window down, it's not that important anymore. It's also nice because there are a lot of others fasting on the app, so it's a nice sense of camaraderie... everyone cheering each other on!

Not to be smart a$$ or anything, but why does one need a fasting app... and what's a widget? I'm pretty low tech (and perhaps it's an age thing)... as far as fasting goes, I stop eating and then I start again... no app required, LOL!

What is your favorite fasting app? I use Fastrac because it has a widget, but are there any others with a widget?
