Leanne, you don't have to eat to the top of your calorie allowance. The numbers are a range that you can stay in to healthily lose weight. You should at least try to hit the lowest number of your range (I have trouble with this myself some days), and don't eat above the highest number.

I usually don't track my meals until the end of the day too. If I haven't eaten enough, I usually just let it go. If I've eaten above my range, then I look at what I ate again and decide how to lessen my total calories for the next day. Don't feel like you need to eat more if you are below your range! Nighttime eating leads to weight gain no matter how many calories you're eating.

As far as I know, you don't HAVE to eat them. It's more of an extra allowance. You can change your settings to not have calories added when you exercise. I believe you go to the start page, then click on Account/Email Preferences and it's in their somehow. Try googling it; that may be easier. Hope this helps!

hey, does anyone know if we MUST eat those extra calories resulting from our fitness activity?

I fill in my trackers around 9pm, by which time I have finished eating for the day. I have carefully planned my meals around my calorie allowance. Then it says I have another 200 calories that I can add to my day's allowance. It's annoying to say the least.

I don't want to eat so late. Can the calories be carried over to the next day?

How do YOU manage these Burnt calories emoticon

Exactly! Been doing great this week and have been trying not to make the same mistakes. So far, so good. Weigh in is on Friday morning. So we'll see how I'm doing.

Good Morning All! Hope everyone is having a great Monday. Proud of myself for the last week. I usually give up on everything so quickly after one small mistake. I made a couple of small mistakes last week, but kept on trucking. It's amazing how a week of tracking, eating right-ish and walking as much as possible has made me feel like a brand new person. Can't wait for this upcoming week.

How was everyone's weekend? Any hiccups or hurdles?

Happy Monday everyone. I hope the sun is shining wherever you are, thankfully it is here today in Italy.

Both my husband I have our packed lunches (different for each of us) for the week and I have a plan to head to the gym at least 3 days this week. I just need to figure out what I want to do when I get there. emoticon

Hi Leanne! I've never had a problem entering numbers in the tracker unless the number had to many figures. It only accepts 2 or 3.

Hi Donna,

I've spend a whole week on SP just tracking stuff. I have an issue with the food tracker as it refused to accept the mono-unsaturated fat figure from the label on my sardine tin/can. I had to leave it blank before it was listed in my favourites.

How about THAT emoticon

Hello Leanne! Welcome! Are you tracking your foods on the nutrition tracker? That really helped me. I've been lax about tracking for about a month now and it really shows on the scale so I've got to get back to tracking!

emoticon hi team.

day 5 for me and I'm not following a particular diet but merely counting calories and staying within my calorie allowance. I'm trying to start an exercise program by counting how many steps I take daily............and it's not good. Max one day this week was 3800. Anyone else new to walking? emoticon

Hi there, girls! Laurie, I'm trying to do the DASH diet - the newest one which is healthy carbs focused. It's not for weight control. It's for lowering cholesterol and blood pressure (two issues I struggle with). That said, I don't eat as much as they say you should eat anyway, so it helps me control my weight.

I'm 60, so I hear you when you talk about those age-related ailments! I have osteopenia in my lower back and hips, so yeah....living with pain!

I hope to be able to check in daily, but my husband spends a lot of time on the computer and so I get on when he is otherwise occupied. Tomorrow is primary election day here and I work the voting place so tomorrow I may not be able to get on at all. At least if I do, it won't be until late.

Hi all. Well y'all aren't a chatty bunch are you hahaha?! I'm excited to get started and begin feeling better! I have some weight related ailments and now that I'm 54 years old it all seems to have caught up with me! So I'm going to start exercise slowly-just walking and the bicycle machine at the fitness center I joined yesterday and I'm trying the Paleo diet which is low carb and basically a whole food program that cuts out refined foods and sugar. What kind of plan are some of you trying?
