I think I'd go with massage therapy, since I already have a nice collection of candles, nature sounds tapes/cds, and a small fountain in my bedroom.

I would go for relaxation like meditation. Taking some time to listen to quiet music. Or tapes with the ocean, birds, and just the sounds of nature. Ahhhhh I could go for that right now!!!

I do try to eat healthy at home but it is hard when I go to a church dinner where there are so many delicious dishes that I really like. Likewise, when we get together as a family, it seems that bread & desserts are galore. I don't care for bread that much but sometimes desserts are hard to pass up. It's good that they aren't dinners that come up every weekend.

When I am at home, it is not that hard to stay on track with eating but exercise is another story. And when we stay with kids, eating and exercising is hard to get done. I try to eat healthy but they don't have steamed veggies or any veggies most of the time and meat is fried, and lots of bread (for sandwiches) and that is not how we eat at home. I am not real comfortable walking in strange areas either so want someone to walk with me.

I would say changing my eating habits . Now a days in my opinion everything is centered around food well always was but seems like it is more now. This holiday I will have the usual but less of it more fruit more veggies My son is coming up from Texas and he said he will eat the airplane food (LOL) because he needs a daily does of unhealthy (LOL)

I find that changing my eating and exercise habits can be overwhelming at times. It's really difficult to break bad habits. But I'm working on it!!

I too am struggling to get to my goal weight. I try to watch my portions and the types of foods that I eat. I track on SP when I feel I am way off base again.

I'm still far from my goal weight.

But, I think I'll still count the calories - and all the other nutritional elements I'm tracking. It's the best way for me to be sure I'm still getting enough of all the needed nutrition!

After reaching your goal weight, do you still count calories?


I haven't reached my goal weight yet!!! I seem to yoyo alot!! Grrrrrr. I get in moods where I count calories but for the most part I just try and watch what I eat and portion control.

I like to walk with Leslie too. I usually do 30 minutes to an hour. I do this on the off seasons when I am not working at babysitting.

For the bootcamp workout, I like the 10 min workouts. When I walk, take class, gazelle, or walking tapes, I am just getting started at 10 min so go for at least 30 to 60 minutes.

I prefer longer workouts cuz my biggest problem is just getting started. Once I get myself out of bed, or off the couch and get going, I can go for awhile.

I also prefer longer workouts. While it burns more calories, I find it more relaxing to stick with an exercise for a longer period of time. Of course, my favorite exercises are walking, cycling, hiking, and Jazzercise.

What do you think about 10-minute workouts?

They work for me!
I prefer longer workouts
I do them, but only when I'm busy
I've never tried one

I prefer longer workouts because I know I can wear off more calories, get a great workout as well as getting my heart-rate up to where it should be.

I bought a stability ball for myself for Christmas. I've done modified sit-ups on it and sit on it for about 15 minutes at a time.

i believe that when i reach my goal weight i'll have to fight the feeling of relaxing my eating and exercising habits... and that's what puts it all on again, right? so i'll have to keep in mind that what i'm doing now is a LIFESTYLE CHANGE TOWARDS HEALTH, and not just a temporary fix to lose weight...

When I reach my goal:
1.I will have to constantly force myself exerise (even though I know I need to do it I hate it, it usually causes me so much pain that I have to force myself to do it)
2. Monitoring portion sizes (which is what got me to this position)

I don't know what my challenge will be. It's been so long since I've seen my goal weight...

Right now, the thrill of chasing that goal certainly keeps me going on all aspects of my diet and exercise on track.

If I get to my goal when... NO WAIT, WHEN I get to my goal weight!!!, I'll find this thread again and post my findings...
