I'm really slack when it comes to exercise and need to become more active.

I was wondering if anyone has become a member of the THM website and if they found to be helpful or not.

I tried the THM's Trim Train Taco Soup yesterday and it was pretty good. I find the recipes are a little complicated and I don't have most of the ingredients. I'm a very plain Jane type of cook and use very few ingredients so had to go shopping just to make the soup.

How much is everyone exercising? I'm walking 30 to 40 minutes a day. I intend to do yoga stretching, but mostly I forget to do it.

Charlie, cheerios? Not sure but if they are on plan I love them....don't they have added sugar ? I heard they are glutton free. Maybe someone can post on facebook to find out?

Janet, cool...straws work great....now I think I'll have to make me a GGMS today.....I have fresh ginger, I don't mind sucking up small pieces :)

Everyone should try the Singing Canary, really good...and good for you...actually all of their sippers are good for us.

Debbie, you'll love it for sure...haven't heard anyone complain. I know a lot of people do not like the first book, neither did I, but they heard everyone and came out with the new versions, so happy they did.

I got the new plan book last week and ordered the cookbook the other day. I got an email from Amazon saying it is suppose to be delivered tomorrow. Can hardly wait to begin flipping it through it.

For the GGMS I drink mine with a straw so I can stir it up...Love it with the fresh ginger.

Ya the triple zero yogurt is much better has more protein to I think...I like to have it with a piece of fruit for an E breakfast..

Saw on pintrest I think, someone uses the small plain triple zero and adds some ranch seasoning and uses as a dipping cup with their veggies...can even use what is left as dressing.

Debbie did you get the new plan book and cookbook? The old book was very hard to understand and the recipe section was quite small.

To answer the question about Dannon Light and Fit vs. Triple 000, it's because Dannon has sucralose - which is an off-plan sweetener.

I have heard a lot of people say that happens. When I make my GGMS I use Ginger Tea Bags. I have found them at the grocery store with the teas. I steep them with whatever flavor tea I'm using. But, I know a lot of people grind fresh ginger with water and freeze it.

Thank you Candy for sharing the link to the start guide. I spent yesterday printing and organizing a few things. I've been doing a few small things trying to get ready to jump in. I ordered the cookbook yesterday from Amazon so should have it in a day or two. I hope there will be easy recipes with ingrediates I have on hand. Looking forward to changing my way of eating but nervous that I may gain with the increase in calories.

Nancy, Wow! I'd be ecstatic if I lost 5 pounds in a week. I'm going to get back to GGMS.

Getting back in the swing here . . . Why do we eat Triple 0 yogurt instead of Dannon Light N Fit (or whatever its called). Dannon only has 80 calories in it.

Nancy, sorry to hear about your loss, I'm sure we can all relate to the pain :(. Glad to hear you lost 5lbs since May 1, that is awesome!!

Janet, I have a 3 ring binder, and a bunch of papers all over the place, so I guess I better go through my recipes...I have all good intentions but haven't made 1/4 of what I found :)

Candy, Gwen is a great blogger, learned a lot from her as well.

Debbie, trust me it will get easier...I would find a few recipes from each category and stick with them for a few weeks..then build up your recipes, there are soooo many out there and they all look soooo good, can't make them all that is for sure. That is what worked for me..I have my go to recipes as I had to cook...but THM makes it easy.

I needed to share this with you all. I have had a loss of a family member the week I started THM (May 1). That week was hard and I will admit that I wasn't even watching carefully what I was eating but I made sure that I had a GGMS every day. I was shocked that when I weighed in on Sunday that I lost my first 5lbs. I couldn't believe it. Even just starting with that is great for me. Thank you THM.

Way to go, Candy. I'm putting pork chops in the crock pot for dinner with some seasonings. Everyone can eat them. I'll fix either rice or potatoes for those not on THM.

How are you guys organizing recipes? I have a pile of printed out recipes. I think I'm going to put them in a 3 ring binder.

Good Morning! I'm still reading the book and it is going slowly, just finished chapter 3. I'd love the quick note version and keep being tempted to jump around trying to find a set plan to get started. Trying to remain patient realizing this is going to become a lifestyle for me and I need to grasp an understanding. I've joined a couple of FB Groups and starting following their Pinterest Page. I feel like I've gone back to school, LOL. But it will be worth it.

I spoke with my dh, I think we came to an understanding. I want this to be a long term thing, and expect there to be times to go off plan, to have crossovers. And we eat a lot of "personal choice items" for convenience

Went completely off plan this weekend. First, I feel yucky - so that's good. My body is responding to unhealthy foods. Second, it's frustrating to see the regression in my weight loss. I have been so successful on THE in the past, so I know this is a lifestyle I want to embrace...it's all about mindset. A huge positive? My hubby was home for a 3 meals yesterday and asked I make each if them again. He especially liked the strawberry rhubarb cobbler from counting all joy.

Getting healthy is like getting through boot camp. It's a lot of hard work, and some days you want to quit. But when graduation day arrives, memories of pain and trouble pale in the light of the pride and accomplishment you feel. You made it! You didn't quit.

Yvonne, the singing canary really doesn't taste that tart at all for being lemons, I think the other ingredients actually makes it tastes almost like a lemon cream cycle. I'll try to make it a couple times a week, once I get more lemons..I thought quite tasty...you can tweak to your liking.

The only thing I did different was juiced one lemon and peeled the rink and quarter and juiced..maybe why mine wasn't so tart.

Candy, oh boy we need to keep hubby on board...what if you tell him that once a week he can make whatever he wants? Or perhaps order out?

What Janet said might appeal to him to make some random meals and you can THM before you put on your plate?

Hi Candy - A lot of our dinners seem rather normal but with a THM twist. We have had steak, pork chops in crockpot, tacos (but I skip shells and have taco salad), and beef stew, all on THM plan but nothing that is specifically diet foot. My husband and son will have potatoes or rice with some of these things

I am needing some guidance/support. My husband is getting tired of the thm rules. I have not made him do thm. We have just been eating dinners within thm rules. He has crossovers and off plan items. I'm not sure what else to do. I made a few desserts but he has not liked any of them. I feel like thm really doesn't have that many rules, just a few tweaks to normal everyday stuff. He is our main cook (for which I am thankful). I don't want to stop thm, but I don't want him to feel so restrained.

The signing canary is a sipper that helps with your adrenal glands. It has lemons, vitamin c and tumeric. It is in the cookbook or you can google it.

There are so many new members here on THM and we are so glad that most of you are liking THM plan and sharing your days and meals with the team.

I like what THETROUT said about walking each day helps to keep her eating on plan and CANDYLYNNBLUE ate toppings from the pizza and salad, and she is trying new recipes like chocolate zucchini cake and Briana Thimas' chocolate pudding pie (was better after being in the fridge for a day. THM_KIELISZA made FSF for her family and husband wouldn't let the kids have any of his.THM_DEB , two days worth of painting is done, now the fun part.

These kinds of comments are what we all need to see, the good and the bad. We all have ups and downs with the THM plan and life. Weather it be with a recipe or getting stalled with our weight or many other things. This is what brings us together.

Hi Team - I have been trying to regain my eating on THM for awhile. Finally, feeling in the groove. Been on plan (not perfect) for about 2 weeks. The scale is starting to go down again. I'm finding that walking each day helps to keep my eating on plan.

I made Briana Thimas' chocolate pudding pie. It turned out kinda dry, but after a day in the fridge it tasted better. Baking with other flour is a learning curve!

Made a FSF for my husband yesterday. I think he secretly liked it, but just wouldn't admit it. The kids kept asking for a sample and he didn't let them have any, so that's a pretty clear indication.

My two days worth of painting is done, now the fun part pulling out the new comforter and curtains...then finding a couple wall hangings to match the colors.

Wednesday, have so much I want to do while on vacation in my house, hopefully I can find the time..

Hoping to quit my job. My boss is making it difficult because I work for a small chiro office and am the manager. There's nobody to replace me and she wants time to find the right person. Love my boss, love my job. Need to focus on my kiddos and my life and get off my anti-depressants. Need to quit! Plus, my husband wants a stay at home wife and mother - what woman would argue with a man who wants and can take care of her?!?

Down .4 pounds this week. Not much, but something!

Mmmm, thinking maybe almonds and some lily choc chips, I will have that as a go to dessert/snack....wondering if could make some THM cookies and take as well..I found a recipe on oatmeal ones, can't wait to try them. Ya the dreamfield pasta I read the article before when I did some research as I couldn't believe it is allowable...I would be binging on it as no way I can have the recommended amount..
