Morning Team!

I agree, I always feel better after a WATP. However, I do mix my routine up with other DVD's like a Biggest Loser, but Leslie is my Favorite.

Have a great day everyone! I have decided to work half a day! emoticon

I must say, after postponing an exercise routine for many months because of work, I'm into the second month with Leslie and I feel great.

Hi,
I am spending the day with my 13 year old daughter. I was sick a couple of days ago and now she is home ill and been vomiting all day. This year has been the worst with illness. I did laundry and am waiting for a reply from my friend to go walking. But now a m watching a movie. Such a dreary day outside with all the rain. Have a good day!

Do the next right thing!

Hi everyone!
Spent the afternoon/evening visiting a friend who's daughter is in the hospital. Then we went to see our grandsons. The weather was too bad to get on here when we got home last night. I made a point to walk yesterday but I decided to do my strength training today.

Annie: WTG! on the weight loss! Keep up the good work!

Evvysbaby: Awesome job on the workouts!

Wow - walking is getting easier and easier. I kind of like this. I feel so energized!

No power outage today - thank goodness. We didn't hear what happened night before last.

I am staying on track and walking my 3 miles at least 4 days a week along with some light strength training.

Opted not to do a WATP but did The Biggest Loser Boot camp. This was after a 30 minute core. 400 abdominal variations. Can we say ouch! What am I thinking when I do this class. I guess how I will look in a few months.

Had weigh in tonight at TOPS and I lost another pound. Was hoping for 2 but like my Dd said, "at least it wasn't a gain" Such a sweet child.

EVVYSBABY- did your power go out from a storm or did someone hit a transformer? We had that on Saturday. Keep up with the workout.

Good morning and Happy Monday!

What a night - power went out at 2 am. Kmart alarm was sounding off for half an hour. Had to get up and find a battery alarm clock (flashlight first) in the dark and get it set so I wouldn't oversleep for work this morning. The the power came back on and the tv and computer started up. I had just gotten back to sleep.

Oh well, I will be changing up the walking this week. Going to try 15 minute intervals to get my 3 miles in. My calves are giving me fits so I thought this might help. A lot of stretching too.

Hope everyone has a wonder ful week!

I've made up my mind that I can always make time for at least a 1 mile walk with Leslie. Let's face it...it's only 18 minutes long. I can either get up a little earlier or do it mid day or do it right before bed time. Even better...I could do all three. But for now I will be happy that I just finished it. It really does make you feel better. Hope ya'll have a great week. Keep walking...keep sparking. mary

Donna yes it was a shame. They worked so hard on that float. He took off work to work on it. His last year in HS. The soup sounds yummy! I love a good homemade Chicken soup!.

Weather here in St. Louis is suppose to be in the 50's. Think the horse can come out of the barn now. I did not do much outside today. Got into watching movies then Dd had to finish her project on New Oleans and her Uncle forgot to send the Mardi Gras beads. Had to have G-ma go to my sister and get some. Project looks great though.

Heres to a happy work week and a week of wonderful exercises!

Annie: So sorry about your son's parade. My hubby calls his homemade chicken soup crack a lackin'. It's just a play on the Madagascar movie. Your chili soup and your apple/carrot juice sound yummy!!

Laura: So glad you were able to navigate those roads safely!

Evvysbaby: We were supposed to have sunshine this afternoon, but it stayed cloudy and dismal looking.

Here's hoping we'll all see some sunshine tomorrow!

Just as I was leaving for Church this morning it started raining ice. Oh the roads were so bad! If I didn't have to help with lay reading, and Communion I would have turned around and went back home. The God Lord brought me there safely and I arrived home safe and sound. Thank you Father for watching over me. emoticon

Its just raining here now tonight. So glad its not snow or ice! emoticon

Morning Team!

LAURAWILLBEFIT-Wish I was finished! Still have a few to get. I am saving the baking till the week of also. I took that week off of work. Hope the obliques feel better!

Muvfasta- What is "crack-a-lickin" chicken soup? Sounds great! I hade chili soup last night. It was yummy. We also had rain. My poor son was in a parade and they got washed out. The thunder was the strangest I have ever heard and the light show was awesome. Strange thing is that it kept coming back around. Not sure when it ended. I fell asleep. Also, thanks for being concerned.

Need to get a workout in today. Sitting here going over my sparkpage drinking a apple/carrot drink that I made in my Jack Lannane juicer. It is so good!

Have a good day and chat with everyone later.

Hello!
We've got cold wet rain here today. So depressing! So I helped my hubby make his crack-a-lackin' chicken soup. It smells soooo yummy. Can't wait till it's finished. It's always good for what ails ya!
Due to the rain I wasn't able to get out so I did the Start! 2mi. WATP.

Evvysbaby: WTG! getting that workout in after all that shopping!

Annie: GREAT JOB! on the workout! Just be careful. We don't want you having a relapse.

Laura: My, my, you were a busy little bee today. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better.

Have a good evening everyone!

Hi all!

I finished all my wrapping yesterday. It took the whole day! Boy was my back hurting when I got done. Today had to help my Son wrap his gifts and then I ran out to the Dollar store to restock all my wrapping paper, tissue paper, bows and buy more tape. When I got home I'm put up a few more inside decorations and now I'm 100% done with that too. Next thing to do is bake, but I'll do that Christmas week. Its such a busy time of the year, but I'm loving every single moment of it.

I didn't workout today. Gave myself another day to heal my oblique muscle. Its feeling a lot better tonight so I'm hoping to get back into exercise tomorrow after Church.

That's about it for me today. It was a good one! emoticon

Went to the gym and did WATP. Felt good, did an easy 1 mile after being sick for a few days. Then I did some of the machines. Feel pretty good.

EVVYSBABY-you go girl! Way to go at the mall. I would not have lasted. I detest shopping. Only go when I have to.

Think I am going to get the juicer out and make a apple carrot juice.

Have a good evening.

Thanks for the welcome - once again it is the Spark People who make a difference to me!

Today was great! Shopped with 7 year old grand daughter looking for snow boots and socks. She is so energetic but for the first time I walked the mall for 2 1/2 hours and didn't even want to sit down - even when she wanted to. I packed around the bags - about 5 lbs or so for most of that - had a wonderful time! yeah for me! Then OMG - I came home and did 1 1/5 miles on the treadmill along with lots of bouncing around on the ball! I need to go find the person who stole my other self and than them!

I've been a member for a while. I haven't been faithful to my program and I'm paying for it. I did the Start! 2 mile walk today.

Annielav: So sorry you're not feeling well today. You have some great plans in the works for tomorrow!

Evvysbaby: I so understand how life gets in the way. My hubby had cataract surgery on Wed. and then we had his post op visit and my doctor's appt. yesterday. Wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't fore the 3 hours driving time on both days.

Best wishes for a great weekend everybody!!!

HUGS!

I am not working out today. Not feeling well. I will hit the gym in the am and do the Biggest Loser Boot camp and maybe get in a WATP. However, my Dh and I are planning to go for a hike.

Have a good weekend and make wise choices.

Welcome to the group! Glad to see more people coming on board. I started working out in June. have been on SP since January but got back faithfully in Sept. I find that it really does help. I am suppose to be at the gym tonight for an aerobics class and then a kickboxing, but I think what ever is going around the courthouse where I work has finally found me. I tried my best to hide from it, but like childhood I was always found! Drat!

Looking forward to loosing with you!

Good morning all! I too am new to this team. I joined Spark 1 year ago this month but didn't get serious until May 2009. I have lost 20 lbs which is good, but I am looking for a lot more. Started walking on "dusty" treadmill this week and I love it. I do 1 1/2 miles two times a day plus use my exercise ball for some extra movement. I joined this team this week as I need the motivation to keep on walking. I love Spark and all the people - thanks to everyone and their support

How funny! My old attorney was from Waynesville. Her mom and stepfather still live there and her sister moved up here 3 years ago. Her sister taught at Fort Leanord Wood. You are about 2 1/2 hours from me I think.

I've been consistent this month and have done 2 miles every other day, which makes 26 miles. I took a look at the third mile and didn't realise it had so much cool down in it. I think I'll try to walk the three miles.

I had a Wonderful Thanksgiving! First, we went to the hospice home where my mother-in-law is a patient.
They had a Thanksgiving Dinner for the patients and their families. Since my daughter and I both have to
eat gluten-free, we ate before we went. My husband ate there. I am glad we went. There were patients there who did not have family show up. So they sat with my husband, my daughter, my mother-in-law, my father-in-law and me and ate their dinner. We all talked and laughed and had a good time. Then later we went over friends and had another good time! Today (it is still Friday in Arizona) I was so tired that I slept off and on during the day. Now I am hoping I can sleep tonight! Saturday will be spent walking outside in the morning at one of the parks here in Arizona then hous cleaning and house dejunking and then later doing one of Leslie's DVD's.
I want to alternate days and do one of Leslie DVD's then the other day one of my dancing DVD's and then the next day one of Leslie's DVD's. This is my new goal: walking outside daily at one of the parks in the morning then in the late afternoon alternating DVD's. I want to be consistent! Well, everyone, please have a Wonderful Evening! emoticon
GOD BLESS!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and came through the eating temptations with flying colors.

I think I did pretty well. I took a fast 2 mile walk in the morning. We went to my FIL's for dinner, so I had nothing at home, no temptations to taste things ahead of time. I did eat a little of everything (except the ham, they had ham AND turkey), but I had only one serving (1/2 cup various veggies, 3 oz meat, one small roll) of each item. I did have a slice of apple pie, but only one slice, with 1/4 cup ice cream, and I skipped the pumpkin pie (don't really like it anyway, so no big sacrifice there, lol). I didn't feel like a beached whale after dinner, which is a nice change. My sister-in-law sent rice krispie treats home with us, so that will be a temptation, but I guess there are worse things she could have sent. All in all I think I did well, I feel good, and today I'm ready to start walking. Already did a 5 mile Leslie dvd this morning, and plan on a walk outside this afternoon.

I hope everyone else is ready to get back on track and work off the turkey and stuffing, and to resist any leftovers you may have. Have a great weekend.

Yes this can happen! I try also to walk about 2 miles everyother day (since Aug) and I haven't lost a lot of weight yet, but my BP is down and my clothes are looser.

You may be building some muscle mass which weighs more than fat, but helps burn the fat.

Good luck to you and keep it up!
I've been sick for the past few days with a lovely cold so I havn't been able to walk. Walk one for me! emoticon

I lost 2 pant sizes before I started to lose weight. I still am not losing much, but the inches are going down.

Hi, I have a question. I have just started walking this month and have walked 22 miles, 2 miles every other day. I am not losing any weight but all my clothes fit better. Is this normal?

Marci - welcome to the group.

Nice sunny day here, I hope that everyone has a beautiful day.

Welcome to the team. I can't wait to go back to Arkansas. I really challenged myself just walking the hills at the college, wow did I figure out how out of shape I was.
