I am on temporary hold with exercising, had an abscess dug out of my big toe and now have to heal it (no wonder it was so darn sore lol) Three days of no showering to help give the polysporin and special bandage intact to keep the pressure off it :-( Good thing its the weekend!! Still can do chair exercise, Jessica's is very tough, better than Coach Nicole's.

When one door closes, I simply kick down another one!! Never Give up!

i did ballet kickboxing. it was different switching disciplines but it did challenge my muscles.

i keep finding more ad more of jessica's videos. i enjoy them so much. the dont get boring and then can match my mood. also the short ones are great to get started or just add a little more.

I did her Knockout Body workout, love it! I haven't been able to do it for a long time because of recovery from the things that happened to my right arm, now four inches shorter and much weaker, not allowed to lift anything with it. Its my second elbow replacement and there is not enough bone left to do a third (the first failed after only three years) Still plugged up sinuses and ears over two weeks now since I got home from my trip. One eardrum has a hole now. Still letting me have surgery in spite of it, amazing it didn't get infected. They are taking some of the hardware from my bone graft out of my arm, so more recovery time, but at least I can do lower body exercise.

10 minute solution also has a couple DVDs where jessica is the featured instructor. i love how her workouts start at an easy level but can get very difficult. i like the efficient workouts - strength mixed with cardio.

Linda, I'm glad you had a nice trip. Sorry to hear about your allergies though. It has been a rough year for them.

I am sad to hear that the Latin Spice Walk was pulled. I loved that one too. I felt very uncoordinated while doing it - but it was still a lot of fun! Maybe she'll do another one soon.

I am continuing to recover. The cough has pretty much disappeared, but I have had trouble getting my stamina and energy back. I have to ease back in to the workouts. I've been doing some of the Fitin15 ones to get back on track.

Hope you are on the road to recovery Carol! I had a bad allergy attack while on my month long trip and the long plane rides home plugged my ears as well as sinuses, still plugged nine days later :-( I so missed my workouts while I was away. It was a great trip though very busy with lots of traveling by bus and very early starts and quite often no internet. Was very sorry to see one of my favorite workouts pulled off the net, Jessica's Latin Spice Walk with her Mom :-(( Anyone know what happened? Did she use copywrited music? I saw a video that had done that once and all they did was take the soundtrack off, sounded strange but at least you could still do the workout. I hope she makes another one to replace it.

I have 18 of her DVD's I first met Jessica via the DVD's was in a 10 minute solution kickboxing DVD. Her DVD's are just a bit more polished than the YouTube DVD's. She has her Mom and a friend, Beth who show different intensity levels. Whichever you use (and I use both the YouTube and the DVD's), you will get a great workout.

Kai I completely agree with you. I have spent a lot of money on workout DVDs and they are collecting dust because I got tired of them after a few times, or sometimes I was disappointed in what I thought would be a good DVDs, and turned out it wasn't for me. I love that she is easy to follow and understand, and tells you how to modify to make a workout easier or more challenging.
Yesterday I did one that was tougher than I thought and today I am sore in my glutes and thighs, which is good. It has woken me up to how out of shape I am. So today, or tomorrow, I can do something completely different and target different muscles. Yay!

I really appreciate that so many of her workout videos are available on YouTube free of charge. The fitness industry is so often portrayed as big business out to grab a buck but Jessica willingly and freely shares her talent for leading workout routines and I am very grateful!

(And I buy her DVDs when I can to support her good work!)

I dont know about you other ladies, but I love Jessica Smiths workouts because she is close to my age, offers alternatives for those who are not in best of shape. Love Peanut. And the variety and weekly emails are great motivators to do something each day, even if its only 10 minutes. And also her catch phrases stick in your head. "I do not sweat, I glisten" and "when in doubt, walk it out". She has kept me on track for last couple months and with her help, I plan on losing last 10 lbs. ☺️

For quite a while I was doing yoga flat abs almost every night before bed but I got out of the habit and haven't done it in many weeks now... emoticon

I'll try to do it tonight! (If I'm not too sore from the springahead workout this morning!) emoticon emoticon emoticon

I love the barre too! Haven't tried the kickboxing...

Hi all,

I've been a team member for some time but not active on the threads. I started the spring challenge yesterday and am so excited! I have a hard time working strength exercise into my life but this I think I can do!

Great spin Melissa!

Bobbie - I'd probably go with the 5 & 8 and use water bottles when lighter weight is needed. And don't forget the yoga inspired workouts are great for strength with no weights required! One of my favorites is yoga for flat abs.

Hi! Wasn't able to read the posts, but if you are talking about alternatives to dumbbells, filled water bottles, can goods, and if all else fails, try putting some dirt, sand or gravel in sip lock bags!

Been on a cruise all week before and sure do miss my JSTV workouts!! Need to go check that spring ahead workout program.

My phone had a poor connection on board or I would've just followed the Fit in 15 that I was following again at the start of the month! Only made it to Day 6 though!

Wanted to let everyone know I got 50 points on the Spark Team bonus Wheel for the team today! Pretty cool! That bumps us up on the Team Leader Boards.

No time to post what vids I did in the correct thread, so I did Fit in 15 Day 7, Kickboxing 101 and I did the 10 min. Best Leg Summer Shapers. Really need sleep now!

I have no clue...it has been in storage since March 2013...I quit going to the gym awhile ago and last month I started doing Jessica's videos on a regular basis and cut back on my running and have finally noticed changes again...but I have been skipping out on all of her strengthening workouts because of lack of weights...I just really think I could see real progress if I really committed

FINDINGBOBBIE How long will it be before you can get your equipment from storage? Can you use water bottles, milk/water jugs filled to different weights, until you can get to your equipment. As for a stability ball, that could wait.

I have been putting off buying exercise accessories since I have all of them already but they are in storage back in MI...I know that I need a yoga mat, stability ball, a pilates ball and some hand weights...but I cannot afford all the different hand weights I need today...I can get one maybe two pairs...what weight would you recommend? I was thinking 5 and 8 or should I do 3 and 8...next payday I will get two more sets...

Hello! It is Melissa. I've been MIA from the team for a long time and I've changed my user name! It used to be JAXMOMMY.

I love the Walk On DVD set and go back to it often. I got the new Walk On, 21 Day Weight Loss Program DVD set and love it too! The only one I have not done yet is the Stride and stretch (Ithink that is what it is called) and it is on the schedule for tomorrow. I've been working out with Jessica every day. I did the Quick Fit Holiday program and am doing the Fit in 15 program now!

I've been sick, so have been keeping my workouts to the minimal level. But, I'm still getting a good burn out of them!

I wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone! I'm still working with Jessica and doing my best! Hope everyone is doing well!

Hey Jen! I did have a wonderful holiday, its only my husband, kids and mother as my sister was visiting a friend in Upstate NY this year. But I got a new pair of tennis shoes (sneakers depending on where you're from LOL) and cool new fitness set called Baladea, its a fitness and wellness system that I am excited to try. However, I am going to do the Pear Shape workout from Jessica Smith first. I missed so many of the Walk On days that I just stopped doing it, but I really like the for your shape workouts that she has. I am going to let my mother use the Walk On set to get her moving again.

I do read and I saw that you had mentioned the Beck Diet Solution in another post and looked at it on Amazon. I always start out (for like a week) on those eating solution plans but for some reason I just can't stick to them. I may check it out again when I hit my plateau that seems to be the best time for me to start any of those kind of plans and stick to them a little longer.

I'm so glad that you are doing well and on track and GREAT JOB on the Walk On Workout Challenge!

Hi! I finished day 8 of the "walk on" workout plan challenge. Today was the Latin Dance walk workout. I really liked it and really sweated up a storm! I haven't been as diligent as I would have liked with this workout- but I feel I am doing well! I hope you are doing well with your workouts too Leslie! Did you have a nice holiday? I certainly did! But now it is time to get back on track!

Yesterday I had a hard time with food. I just wanted to eat and eat some more. I don't know what that was about-but I did give in a little too much! Do you read at all? There is a great book called the Beck Diet Solution. It is very well written and practical. If you have some time- check it out! I am on a biggest loser challenge and our team is reading it! SO FAR SO GOOD!! There is also a Beck Diet Solution team. Every bit helps!! Talk to you later, Jen

Way to go with staying on track! I have not done as well :(

I am just going to try my best for the rest of the year, not over do with the eating and get as many workouts in as I can. Will probably just go through the JSTV site and choose workouts from there which is how I got started with her in the first place. I just need to push myself a little harder is all.

I have opted to not use my activity tracker until after Christmas, I will probably regret this as I have been using it for months and do believe it is what has helped me get as far as I have.

Even though I am not where I'd like to be, I am not disappointed with this year because I have really come a long way and will go even farther next year.

I LOVE all those walking DVDs!! They are awesome. On the buns and thighs problem area I have trouble with my knees but I think I am letting them lean in or out. One of the 2...I am trying to figure it out.

I was a sweaty mess after doing around 20 minutes of Jessica Smith's problem area walking DVD for the ABS! WOW, that was very well done!! I hurt my hip area swinging them back and forth and side to side... Well hopefully I heal quickly..... This won't put me down for long!! It was the first time I turned on the video, and I absolutely emoticon LOVED IT emoticon I couldn't wait for all the DVD's to come in, now they are here and I am hurt!! Isn't that just the way!!

Hello Rebecca and All of the Team Members,

I am sorry to say that I have had to step down as a co-leader and as a team member.

First off, I am having foot surgery the 28th of July and will be out of commission for a good while.

Second, I start physical in August for my neck and shoulders 3 times a week.

And third, I start classes on August 13th to finishes my degree in the ministry.
