I keep a notebook in my bag to write down my feelings situations that cause me anxiety. I describe what's going on in the moment, how my body feels, my thoughts, etc. Maybe you could try something like that when you're coping with cravings or temptations?

amaranth13, i have similar issues with tempting foods. My first thought is "can i get this at the store?". if yes, then i tell myself if i really want it, i can buy it later. if it's homemade, that's more difficult. depending on what the homemade food is, i ususally don't like it. if it's something i do like, i take a very little bit. enough to taste, but not gorge.

Hi,
I'm doing relatively okay on my plan but my big problem is the temptations at work. I bring my own healthy snacks to work, but coworkers relatively often bring donuts or other high carb stuff. I have diabetes and I really have to be careful with the stuff, but the temptation is sooo hard to resist. I crave sugar all the time and even not having sugar does not make it go away.

How do you deal with temptation in the office? I often find out of sight out of mind, but the 'goodie day' table is right in the main pathway for me and that means I have to go by it or go quite a ways around, and it's hard to avoid. I've been having days that i"m fighting myself all day and then find myself caving in at the last hour after all.

Do you have any tips or ideas? Thanks.
