Like others mentioned, I sleep in til the last minute and I am not now nor have I ever been a morning person. I'd prefer to wake at 4:30, shower get ready and hit the gym at 5 AM for 30 mins of my own thing, an hour class, go home shower, eat, head to work.
Reality is with a toddler who hates to sleep and me working full time + overtime to support the family on my single income, pet responsibilities, house cleaning, etc, I am just very limited on sleep as is & if I go with even less, I'll crash and burn. I'm not sure how yet, but something is going to have to change so I can get back into the groove of fitness and healthy cooking. Maybe we should have an early morning challenge :-P

I don't give myself enough time to exercise in the morning consistently. On the days when I do it, I feel so much better all day, PLUS I get the most important thing I need to do all day DONE, first thing.

However, I'm in a rut of sleeping in until the last possible second before I have to get ready for work, and when I get home I am so busy with the family stuff I have to do that by the time I have time to myself it's 9:30, and I don't FEEL like getting sweaty.

I really need to get up early if I'm ever going to really get fit.

I don't give myself enough time in the morning to have breakfast, and have gotten into the habit of picking up breakfast at my "new fast food"- STARBUCKS!

I need to amp up my weight loss, and regulate my visits and choices at Starbucks to be more healthful.

So one of the things that the cult-fav movie "Office Space" got right was the emphasis on seemingly tedious or cumbersome and unnecessary reports!

It's part of these things that bog us down at work, or make us feel so limited. I think that working in an office, with many people clinging to processes simply because that is "how it is done" is one of the things that limits our thinking in the rest of our lives.

But think of how EXTRA rewarding it is and will be to break free from that kind of thinking - making life an adventure (like the old slogan of sparkpeople)!

Are you in a rut? What is it and what can or will you do to break free?

;D
