What a tough time of year. Starting over again. How do we break this endless cycle? I was doing so well and now I have a bigger setback than I realized since I was doing better than I thought I was. I didn't see the problems creeping up until I was wading through more piles of laundry than I care to admit to. I see it now and I'm going to figure it out, again.

Starting over, again. My nutrition has taken a big leap off of a cliff. I have descended into loads of unhealthy carbs, heavy sauces and gravies, too few veggies and too much fat. Things that were a treat have become a regular meal.

I need to refocus on my intake of lean protein without sauces and gravies and a lot of veggies and fruits again.

Hasn't been a good week. I need to get a handle on this fast. Today is my last bad day then I have to reset and get back into a routine tomorrow that I can carry out through the fall. I started September okay too. My poor diet choices have pulled me down and I have to get that straight so my insides are straight.

I have been on and off over the years and never stuck with it. The last few years have been all sort of medical and mental health issues in my family. Me personally, I had a total left knee replacement in 2016, then has some plantar fascitis, then in 2018 I had a hysterectomy. My foot continued to bother me and I went to a podiatrist who told me that I have a stress fracture. My last appointment with her, she said it is healing and I could return to activities and that I would have some bad days, but my good days should be more often. So now I really want to work on eating healthier and losing weight for my health. My dad and brother had heart problems. Both of my parents, had cholesterol issues and adult onset diabetes, and I'm currently on the edge with those markers. I want to do this a healthy way and not control it with medication. I have a problem with sticking with things, or that my husband (disabled with Parkinson's and has signs of dementia with it) cooks dinner and side dishes are more often packaged pasta, packaged rice or instant potatoes. I need to get back to subbing in a salad for those, but they are soooo good. LOL

For me Spark People has always been a computer thing. I don't use my phone app much at all and I should for tracking. I've been way off the wagon for my eating and activity and I have gotten into a survival mode routine of just trying to make it through every day.

I have found with the changes in the site, that if I am on my phone it is extremely difficult to access the teams... I can only easily visit team message boards if I am on my actual computer, and that doesn't happen often these days. Any one else notice a decline in the focus on teams, to more of an individual focus? Opinions?

Body Boss is crazy. Do a free trial if you can. These workouts are insane. I can't believe how hard they are but I'm sticking with them. The online support is top notch too. What an amazing community of women.

I started a new workout program called Body Boss. It's insane and it's amazing. It's not a fad or anything like that. It's just 16 weeks of hardcore structured workouts that will kick your butt. I 100% recommend it.

It's Sunday and that's a great day to plan. I like to food shop early in the AM before the stores get busy. I plan out my shopping list based on my meals for the week. I set up daily snacks, measuring out portions to pack for my breakfast and lunch daily for work. I always bring my lunch to work too and have healthy snacks on hand. A little planning makes the week so much easier. Saves money in the long run too when you plan your snacks and meals for the week. No take out, vending machines or tips to worry about.

taking it a bit easy with my surgery scheduled for thursday.........did 40 minutes of water aerobics with water weights this afternoon at LA Fitness......will do a Yogilates dvd here at home this evening..
