Good Thurs morning to all of my dear friends....The sun it OUT!!! It is only 32 tho...They are saying we should reach the middle 50's....

.I would like to cut the grass today....I have to see what Mr Ken has up his sleeve...We got most of the wood that Mr Ken needs for the fence. He got one big fence post for the big stockade fence as well. He wanted three big posts but they only had one good one left....

So, at first we got the 4 big boards (12"X 12") and put them on this big cart. Than off to get 4 bags on fence cement. (50lbs each) . Than off to outside of Menards to get 3 green treated posts for the little fence....Gosh, our cart was getting so hard to push and it seemed like the weather just hit rock bottom and it started to snow....I had flagged down this one man on a fork lift truck and he came over to help us...He actually lifted our long cart on his loader and brought it right over to the door that went inside....He called for someone to push to the cart for us to the cash registers for us and than load it in the van....Of course his name was Rick!!! I got one of those envelopes that you can fill out and send to the co when one of the employees go up and beyond what they had to do......He will than get notice that how much we appreciated him....I know they used to get a pin that to wear on their vests....We had done that a few times before as well...

Oh yes, hamburgers for lunch.....Not sure what Mr Ken will do already today....I would like to be out in the garage with him while he works with the saws tho....Rick & Lisa are trying to get here today or tomorrow...Rick has been having so much work put on him lately now that they have heard over there that alot of our service men will be coming home maybe in the fall...

Of course Mr Ken can't wait...Darn him anyway.....He did talk about going to the next Menards about 8 miles from here and see if they have the two posts he does want...That would be fine with me...Let him rest today. I had to wash our jeans and jackets from getting so much cement post dust on us.....

Annie, I don't know why some people just can't do things in moderation...I know Mr Ken & I would like to walk as far as we used to as well....But, we are able to do this almost every day this way...Get to see some of our neighbors that have lived in our area for yrs and some newer ones as well....Yes, we do stop and talk some too...but we do manage to put one foot in front of the other and get our selves back home ok...

Joyce, I see where Brenda had posted on FB about the black ice you got there...That is so dangerous too....That darn white out is almost worse....

Trudy, I hope your chiropractor appointment goes well....

Good morning,
Sunshine this morning. It's supposed to get to 55.
Peggy, LOL! I don't blame you for just telling them straight off that you're leaving. I know what you mean about not sitting longer than that! Especially if it's a going round and round meeting.
Liz, wow, that is a huge roofing job! It'll be nice to have it done, won't it!!
Joyce, so glad Andrea didn't have to stay in the hospital. And that Aiyden is feeling better.
It sounds like Steven and Andrea are almost at the finish line with the loan paperwork. There sure are a lot of hoops to jump through! When I had my garage built it was amazing the amount of paperwork I had to scan and send to the company in NY. Every day was something else!
Merri, oh my, I hope there aren't any issues with the mean neighbor when Mr. Ken does the fence post. Maybe Rick could be there with Mr. Ken and keep things from escalating.
Annie, it sounds like you had a great time with your family at the soccer game. Yay!
I have a chiropractor appointment this morning. Then I'm meeting 3 friends for lunch.
So, a nice day!
I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Good morning. I rode the bike and we got our first short walk done and will have another at 9.

Today is WW and face time with my sister Joan.

I left the meeting at 3:40 and got home just in time to watch our show.

I was there to work on the first budget and part of the second budget. There was too much extra talking going on.

I did get another tree to start working on.

Have a great day

Good Morning!

Our snow was all gone last night and was supposed to be out of here. SURPRISE! Another inch or two came in overnight with lots of icing! 29 degrees! The police scanner was going crazy with accidents and roads closed. Sun is out now and it will be gone again later. Supposed to warm up after today and hit 70s next week.

Nothing going on today, just get the school day done and relax. Andrea is off today, needs to pick up two more papers for the lender and get them all scanned and emailed to her. Then hopefully they will get it wrapped up,

Liz, that is a big roofing job for sure!

Happy Earth Day everyone!!

Morning All! It is 35 here this morning. A cold front came through yesterday about 3 PM and brought heavy rain and high winds. The temperature dropped 20 degrees! It feels like winter! Thankfully, it's only supposed to last one day!

Peggy - I watch New Tricks on the BBC last year. It was very good!

When Tom and I lived in our own home we did all our own repairs. Here I can't do that, and I don't really like it. But there's nothing I can do about it. They are replacing the roofs on nearly 700 units, so it's a sizable job. The weather certainly plays a big part in the timeline.

Zone 4: Mission #4 Thursday

Dear Friends,Yesterday we worked on the nightstands and today we are going after the dressers! Get rid of anything that is not necessary! Instead of a pile up of cosmetics, place them in a ziplock bag and then store them in a drawer when not in use. For perfumes and colognes, toss what you no longer use and place you favorites on a pretty tray, plate or mirror. Keep this space neat and clutter free, you will love to wake up to the flat surfaces in your bedroom decluttered.

the T-Ball game was SO fun.. there were 11 of my family members there,, had not seen in over a yr and half.. a G-neice said,, We;ve both had both shots can I give you a hug emoticon ? oh my YES ....
who would have thought asking/giving a HUG would be SO special.......???

today I have 3 new goals...

Hey for you walkers, (which we all should be )
My sis is 78 and was walking each day with a friend,, they were up to 5 miles per day,, One mile,, then met again after an hr ,, did another mile.. until all 5 miles were done for the day..
WELL my sis can hardly walk now.. it did something to her knees...she's very independent and now just slowly walks.. she said she won't do a knee operation, oh my..
I say one mile a day is plenty at our age... but then again ,, what do I know?? I always over do... emoticon

Hi everyone!

We had about four inches of snow overnight. Roads are clear but all the tree branches are coated...pretty to look at.

Brenda posted pics on FB. Merri, the house with the swing set next to it is the she shed. It was a playhouse for kids. Almost big enough to live in! LOL.

Andrea did not have a UTI thankfully. They told her to get a belly wrap to help take the weight of the baby off her back. She is going to get one today. Has to get a bunch of paperwork together for the lender while they are out.

Oh oh Merri, hope no issues with the neighbor when Mr. Ken does the fence!

Enjoy your walk Trudy!!

Liz, hope you have a good day! I loved that picture of the Mandarin duck on FB! They are so beautiful!

Not sure what kind of vacuums the company has...,,will find out once Steven starts.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning it's a bagel day so another roll your own supper. It's a good thing too because I have one meeting at one outside at the Church where we will be holding Great Day and a second meeting inside the clubhouse at 2. This is a budget meeting and I know it will go on forever so I am telling them at the beginning that I am leaving at 3:30-3:45 the latest.

I have to get home to watch our TV show with Jerry. We can really watch it whenever because it is Amazon Prime but I don't want to sit any longer than that.

It's a great show from the BBC it's called New Tricks.

I'm glad that Andrea is taking care of herself but I hope she gets to go home.

Merri it's great fun walking everyday because you get to see what's going on in the neighborhood.

Joyce I hope that Aiyden is feeling better soon.

Have a great day

Oh my goodness, here I thought it was only Tues...Good thing I have been checking to make sure what one earth day it is....The sun is out!!! it is only 35 and the bird bath is frozen..Mr Ken has unplugged the heater for it already. It will get to around 44...

I think today is the day that we are going to Menards to get the wood for the new fence between us and the mean neighbor. The guys broke off two posts last winter when they shoved the snow against our fence...Of course they never had to come back to move more snow for us to tell them what they had done......Mr Ken will have to go on the mean neighbors driveway to get the new posts in....Here we go!!!! LOL

Oh yes, I have to do my mid week laundry as well. The towels/pj.s....That can always in the later afternoon too tho....

I have NO idea for lunch today!!! None at all.....

I was writing this and than my brother Jim called from Milwaukee....We are very close as he is just 18 months older than me....

Joyce, That is so nice that some people can go beyond what they are suppose to do today....It is just the ones that seem to do things wrong that we hear of....Good for Steven getting a new job!! At least he wants to work and help out...Also working on the new place for them too...

Peggy, Mr Ken & I are starting to get into the "grove" of walking here as well...So nice to see some of the neighbors once again....

Trudy, I hope you are able to get out today too....So nice to get out finally....

Good morning,
It's sunny and 32 this morning. Supposed to get up to 48. It'll be a cold walk, but, as you move around, you warm up. So, I'm going to wear a sweatshirt and flannel lined windbreaker. It snowed all day yesterday. No accumulation.
Liz, it boggles my mind how contractors can get away with just not showing up. It is such a bad business model. I guess they stay busy enough they feel they don't have to treat people courteously.
Joyce, oh my, I hope Andrea is better very soon. UTI's are nothing to mess around with, that's for darn sure. WooHoo for Steven. I hope this works out. What kind of vacuums does this place clean? Industrial ones? Good idea to have Adalyn do a few jumping jacks. Get that blood pumping!
Annie, I'm glad they gave you enough time to get things organized for Don instead of just discontinuing the service. I'll bet Kevin will help you!!
I'm walking today. Nothing else on the schedule.
Everyone have a fantastic day

Morning All! Another beautiful day until about 3 PM. Then a cold front is due and temps should drop about 20 degrees! That means heavy wind and rain later! At least everything is put away! It is supposed to be 29 by tomorrow morning!

The roofers never showed up yesterday - no call, no nothin! Oh well, at least I didn't overeat and I'm all set for when they do come!

Joyce - I hope Andrea is okay! Those UTIs can hurt! Congratulations to Stephen

Today is my needlepoint group/. A fun afternoon!

Thanks Annie, we are sure hoping fir the best for him. The other job paid quite a bit more but money is not the most important thing.

Andrea is at the hospital, she was having a lot of back pain, her doctor thinks it might be UTI so told her to go to ER. ER sent her up to OB/GYN floor for the testing, rather than keep her in the ER area. She might have to stay overnight for antibiotic IV. Tomorrow is her day off, fun way to spend it, but she will be off Thursday too, luckily.

Aiyden said his stomach hurt and he just threw up. Fun day.........

Dear Friends, It is anti-procrastination day and we are going to clean off the nightstands! Get the tissues, cups and stuff that has piled up, toss and put away. The grab a feather duster or dust rag and dust the surface. Place a pretty candle or picture there. Something that is new to that spot that you love to see.Waking up and not seeing a pile of things on the nightstand and a pile of clothes will make your morning a little brighter!

Hi Everyone!

Yaaay Annie - meeting all your goals for yesterday! Gosh, it's hard to imagine Don sleeping so late, that for sure must have been a late dinner!! Hope you're able to get that equipment moved downstairs - I'm sure Kevin would be happy to help you. Enjoy that t-ball game!!! What fun and seeing family you've been away from. Love it!

Trudy, so glad you enjoyed the walk. 40 minutes is good for the first one! Amy got the car fixed, the guy didn't want anything for doing it, but Amy gave him $40 anyhow. SO nice to find helpful people like that these days! He's married, so............ LOL

Merri, rhat was like yesterday, the landscaper was here to mow and when he was done, was blowing the grass off the sidewalks, etc., then he came up to the upstairs porch/balcony and blew off all the tree buds that were all over! He wasn't asked to do that, just did it on his own. Love seeing people doing a little extra just to be nice! They're out there, just seems all the bad get the publicity. I really worry when that jury verdict comes in - afraid more riots will be coming!

Peggy, you and Jerry are so faithful getting your walks in! Brenda is making appts. for her and I to see our chiropractor this week. Hoping after a back adjustment I can start walking again. I do miss it! OK, I'll have to make oatmeal tomorrow, especially if it's snowy. I like raisins in mine.

Kathryn, that's awesome your husband can get to the game! You made some interesting lunch purchases. I've never heard of seaweed salad! What all is in it?

Done with school for today, homework is done, and her work area is set up for morning! Yes, Merri, I sure will be glad when this school year is finished! Poor Adalyn was falling asleep in class this morning when it first started, her teacher sent a txt telling us to let her splash water on her face and walk around a little. I had her do some jumping jacks. LOL

Supposed to see snow starting later and could have 2-4" by tomorrow! Kids will love it, us, not so much! LOL

Steven got a job today! Should start sometime next week. They called him after seeing his resume on some online hiring site for this area. He liked the guy and the place, so hopefully his will be a good fit. Starts at $19 an hour and after 90 days, an evaluation and possible raise. Five days a week, 6:30 to 2:30. The guy said sometimes they'll work a b and sometimes till 4:30 but not on a regular basis. It's good because Andrea is off work anytime from 2 till 4, so they'll have more time together than they used to. It's at some kind of vacuum company and his job will be taking apart the vacuum motors and cleaning them.

Hope it's a good day for all of you!!

Good morning everyone:
my niece came and got my CD to work on my lap top.. wow.. she's so smart !! she laughed,,just said because of being a realtor she has to do that kind of stuff..
She said it was because I didn't have Adobe in my lap top..she added it..LOL

got my back 2 lawns mowed yesterday !!!! YEAH emoticon

Joyce:
YES I did all three on my goal list
and one more !!

Don didn't get up until 6:45 pm.. yesterday ..well I should say evening.. we had a late dinner to say the least..

2 nurses called yesterday..one nice ,one not so nice.. I thanked the nice nurse and she goes, Well you're the caregiver and we should support you.. WOW I again thanked her..

since he can no longer go upstairs where his Telehealth medical things are ,, his vitals are not going into the VA hospital.. I need to talk to Kevin about helping get his desk and everything down here .. The nurse gave me 27 days to get his Telehealth set back up..before they take Don off it,, shut down the system..

Joyce:
that was SO great about telling the kids not to put to much into the place ,until all the loan goes through...
Trudy:
I say that was the PERFECT walk.. when you get to visit 40 mins. !! those to me are some of the best walks ever..

Not sure what my goals are for today.. I am going to my G-G nephews' T-Ball game at 5:30 pm.. so excited !! have not been around them ( we live a couple blocks from each other ) but due to the covid restrictions and me being OLD..LOL they stayed away ....

Good morning,
It's gray and cold this morning. Snow is going to start about 10 and go until 10 tonight. Luckily the ground is warm so we shouldn't get too much accumulation. The weatherman said if it was winter we'd have a 5 to 6-inch system. Glad we're not getting that.
Peggy, thanks for mentioning oatmeal. I think I'll have some this morning, too. I usually have an egg with a piece of toast or peanut butter toast. Oatmeal is so good and I just don't think about it. Enjoy your crafting/crocheting day!
Liz, I hope you're having a good day!!
Joyce, you're right to tell Steven and Andrea not to put too much into that place until the paperwork is finished. Sounds like Amy did stop at the right driveway! For maybe two reasons! LOL!
Kathryn, enjoy your day. Your shopping trips to Goodwill are always successful. Do you make a list of things you want or just wander around and see things you think you would like to have?
Annie, that soup sounds great! I should have made some. It's more winter like today! Enjoy your summer weather!
Walking yesterday was great. We didn't walk too far but we walked for about 40 minutes.
So, that was a big improvement over what I've done lately! I'm going to wear my fitbit tomorrow just to see how far our walk is!
Everyone have a great day!

Good Tues morning. It is only 35 here and cloudy...Only going to get to around 42. The weather man is saying rain/snow later on today...GREAT!!!

Today we are going to have some of the sauerkraut that we had frozen. Mr Ken thought he had to make some new stuff this morning and was all excited that he only has to make his mashed potatoes LOL....We have to go and get some bread/bananas this morning as well....

Joyce, Wow, was Amy ever lucky to pull into this guy's driveway!! See, there still are good people out there so willing to help....We sometimes only see the bad side of things lately....

Joyce, The sad thing is about this mean neighbor is that NO neighbor talks to him at all lately. He just can't seem to keep his mouth shut. He just says such bad things to everyone....He even got mad at one neighbor yrs ago because he got a new truck and it than it was newer than his!!! Years ago he said that not only did we have a son...but did he have to be so perfect!!! He has two DD's....Rick used to go over and shake his hand...I know he still would if he would see him outside....That is how we raised him...to be kind and respectful...

There are still two months left of school....Gosh darn, it seems like things have been flying by...but it seems like your school days are taking forever???

Mr Ken cooks his noodles for his goulash before and than adds them later as well....It was nice to have that once again too....

For some reason, I had already forgot to do my Wii game yesterday. I guess it really hasn't become a habit yet and I have to get more into it....I like to do it at 1 PM if I can....

Good morning it's 68 and we're off for our walk.

Oatmeal day today so that's always yummy.

Today is Hands in Motion and Jared's Drawing Club so it will be another fun day.

After breakfast and after my bike ride I'll go and renew my plates for my car.

This afternoon we are getting the passenger side window replaced on the same car. We think it got broken a week ago when we had a hailstorm.

At least the guy comes right to our driveway.

Have a great day!

Ron's game he is going to is a baseball game with Sacramento River Cats playing. That is on Wednesday. Not sure what time but that is one of my Goodwill days so will see if I get to go or will be needed here to see him off.

Today was supermarket day and we went to the Goodwill. I found a nice little shelf unit with open shelves with also a closed part with glass inset doors.. It is white. I use it to store my onions, potatoes, oranges and towels and dishcloths. My exercise today was walking the stores and some strength training.

I got at the Supermarket some things for me.to have for my lunches. I got seaweed salad, seafood salad snd some sushi. I am having one of them for my lunches this week or a tuna sandwich. I am planning out my meals a week in advance. I am not getting fast food but maybe McDonald's iced caramel coffee. Coffee is good for you it depresses the appetite.

Hello everyone!!!

Annie, you cook like I do! When I make soup I do the same thing, use whatever I have on hand and probably not the same way twice. I also like to cook the noodles separately and then add o the est. I used to use up the left over rotisserie chicken from WalMart to make soup like that and whatever leftover veggies I might have in the fridge. LOL Glad you enjoyed church. Did you meet your goals for today?

Our weather was pleasant today but we're supposed to get snow tomorrow night into Wednesday, maybe measurable. I remember having snow on Mother's Day one year!

Merri, I know the guy must be bad because you aren't one to have a negative attitude about people and you have given him many chances. His loss.

Trudy, your weather sounds like ours! Gosh it will be nice to be walking with friends, won't it?

Peggy, how did the :"roll your own" dinner go? Sounds fun!

Glad you had a nice weekend Liz, sounds like you enjoyed some fun TV. Our Tribe has been doing pretty well. Ups and downs, but for this early in the season, I'm happy with them. Lots of roster changes from last year, so takes some time to settle in.

Gwyn, guess the house cleaning will keep till next weekend, right? Funny how time gets away from us!

Had a good day here. School went well, then Amy stopped by for a few hours with Autumn. It was nice enough for the kids to play outside for awhile. Steven and Andrea are at the modular doing some "prep work". The owner gave them the keys and told them to do whatever they wanted. We warned them not to invest too much time or money until the loan is definitely done! She'll have all her supporting paperwork ready Wednesday and hopefully it won't take long. They've been approved for the lot rental, so that's at least done.

Poor Amy's car broke down on her way home. Pulled into a driveway. The guy there came out and told her she picked a good driveway to break down in because he knows a lot about cars. Checked it out and said it was the thermostat. Told her to run into town and get one at the parts store and he'd put it in for her! Only Amy would luck out like that. He's probably single, good looking and she'll end up dating him! LOL

Hope you all have a great evening!

it was one of those,,oh ya,, I have that..LOL and just made up my own recipe,, not like I would ever remember what I did,,unless I read it again on here..LOL

it was just food that I had here and went slowly with doing one thing at a time,, I think it made it better than before..
Tell Mr.Ken good luck,, and it did work for a warm evening meal .. I served it with some Hawaiian bread I had in our freezer and some peaches I had left over from our meal with the kids..

Good Mon morning:

Joyce:
Church was so good.. saw a friend,,she's 91 yrs old,, first time I have seen her in a yr and half.. Her DD brought her,, they made her wait until both shots.. I stayed my 6 ft away,,again,, so wonderful to see her..

The chicken noodle soup turned out the BEST ever as Don said... it was good,, I cooked the fresh ==carrots/celery/ green beans/onion first,,set aside added a small can of peas( only canned food ) added low sodium chicken broth.. simmered then added the already cooked and shredded chicken. I cooked the noodles in a separate pan,,then added them right before serving..

I did have to fill his bowl and serve him,,he was not doing good yesterday.. but SO enjoyed the meal...

today I have 3 goals.. get a card off,,#2 find our= Will CD and get that done #3 mow the back 1 lawn,,not both back lawns..

Hope I can get my goals done today,,going to be in the 70's and rain in at the end of the week..

Trudy:
SNOW?????? oh my we've had a wonderful summer week.. I am sorry for you,,hope that doesn't stop your walking with your friends .. Do you gals wear masks while you walk?? I find it hard to breath with masks on,,just wondered??

Here we are in a new week once again. It has been raining just a bit off and on now most of the night. I wish it would just rain and be done...We are aching here big time with this damp weather

I didn't hear Mr Ken if he has any plans for today yet. I have to ask him if he has any ideas for lunch as well....Oh this darn trying to figure out what for lunch is getting OLD!!! Oh my goodness, I just asked him and he wants to make goulash!!! We haven't had that in ages....I told him I will have to go to the store to get the cans of tomatoes...(That is going down stairs and getting them off of our shelves that we had gotten)...I will bring them up when I take my shower later.

Joyce, Oh, we have had some arguments over the yrs with this mean neighbor and than have gotten along with them later. But, we could bring him a nice meal today...than he could stab us in the back later the same day. One Christmas the gal across the street brought us and the mean neighbor cookies...He hugged her and was so glad to get them....The next day he called the police on them because they parked on his side of the street....A few yrs ago Mr Ken took his riding tractor and clean enough space for Marilyn to go to her dialysis and than Mr Ken got yelled at because he didn't clean by his mail box as well...Just can't win with him

Trudy, That is so nice that you will be starting to walk 3 days a week with your friends...I think that sounds like a good plan...

Kathryn, That is so nice that you were able to find some nice books....I bet you got them at a good price too...

I had never heard of taking down the pictures either when you have a new roof put on...Does make sense tho....

Joyce, That is a long time to be going to school...But than, I had just mentioned to Mr Ken not long ago about them doing almost the same thing...Than to have them go back maybe sometime in Aug as they have to make up so much....Not your little ones, but so many have done nothing at all I bet...Some moms are just too lazy to even try to teach them these days

Annie, Home made soup sounds so yummy to me...What time are you serving????

Good morning,
It's sunny and cool here this morning. I'll take it. Tomorrow we're predicted to have snow all day. Only an inch of accumulation because the ground is warm. But, still....snow on April 20? I'm not a fan! LOL!!
Peggy, it's kind of nice to have "roll your own dinner". Then you don't have to come up with something!
Liz, your weekend sounds very nice. Good idea to get help with the pictures on the wall!
Joyce, I'm glad you had a good time at Amy's b'day party. I'm sure you'll be glad to be done with home school!
Merri, well, that mean neighbor oozes jealousy! Not a good look!
Kathryn, I like those self-help books too. From most, you can get some good ideas. It's remembering all of the good ideas and putting them into practice that's hard!
Annie, homemade chicken noodle soup sounds good. I just can't eat soup during the summer, unless I'm in a/c!
I'm going to start walking 3 times a week with two Y gals today. It might keep me enthused!
I sure hope so!
Everyone have a great day!!

Good morning all it's 68 and we're off for our walk. Hope it doesn't rain on our parade.

Bagels today so that's a "roll your own dinner" time. (make whatever you want for yourself)

My kids used to like it when we had "roll your own dinner".

Wow we never took down our pictures when we got a new roof. They are really being cautious.

Have a great day!

Morning All! 50 and cloudy today!

I had a nice weekend. Quiet but very nice! Saturday was my meeting. It went well! Yesterday I watched the Mass on TV (our churches are still closed), made a nice breakfast, watched the Yankee game and then some golf. After supper I watched our PBS station. All in all, a nice Sunday!

Today I hope to do some laundry and stitch a little. We are getting new roofs on our units so I have to clear off my patio and take down all my wall hangings. I think I will ask Jake to come over and help me. Some of the larger pictures are too heavy for me to take down by myself.

Hi Everyone,

Pretty late getting here today. Got up and made pasta salad for Amy's party, then we left with Jim and Brenda. They had to do some shopping before we went to Courtney's but it was on the way. Had a nice time with the family celebrating her birthday. When we got home it was time for me to print off stuff and get things ready for Adalyn's school this week. I'll be SO glad when this school year ends! It's so late, June 22, because of the virus delaying the start of the school year. Going to be a short summer break, but at least in the fall they will go to in person schooling.. I sure wouldn't want to do this as a permanent thing!

Annie, did you enjoy your church service??

Merri, do you think the mean neighbor might ever be receptive to a friendly gesture from you?

Peggy, did you enjoy your family House Party today? (Silly question, right?)

Hope you had a good day Trudy, I like that - "going rogue". LOL It really did feel good!

Hi Gwyn!

Kathryn, did Ron enjoy the game. Love that he has more mobility with that chair! That's awesome.

Get a good rest everyone, I'll catchya tomorrow!

Zone 4 The Master Bedroom, Bathroom, and Closet

Zone 4: Mission #1 Monday

Dear Friends, This week we are in the Master Bedroom, today I want you to spend 15 minutes under your bed! Take this time to get the things out from under the bed that you have shoved under there during a mad stash and dash through the house.

15 minutes might not be enough, but for today just try to put a dent in the stuff that you have put there. Things that just don't belong. If you don't have anything under your bed, then grab a vacuum cleaner or broom and get the dust bunnies that have been multiplying under there.

Zone 4: Mission #2 Tuesday

Dear Friends,Today is the day to attack the clothes pile. Now you all know what I am talking about. This pile is either on a chair, on top of the hamper, dresser or at the foot of your bed. Set your timer for 15 minutes and grab some hangers or start folding. While you are doing this do not hang up or fold something that you hate. This is the time to let it go! If you do not love it, send it right out the door!

Zone 4: Mission #3 Wednesday

Dear Friends, It is anti-procrastination day and we are going to clean off the nightstands! Get the tissues, cups and stuff that has piled up, toss and put away. The grab a feather duster or dust rag and dust the surface. Place a pretty candle or picture there. Something that is new to that spot that you love to see.

Waking up and not seeing a pile of things on the nightstand and a pile of clothes will make your morning a little brighter!

Zone 4: Mission #4 Thursday

Dear Friends, Yesterday we worked on the nightstands and today we are going after the dressers!

Zone 4: Mission #5 Friday

Dear Friends, Today is the day to remake your bed. This may take a little longer than usual but so well worth it. Strip your bed and remake it. Get someone to help you flip the mattress, if you can't then try just to turn it around. If you have some fabric spray spritz your linens or if you have had any colds or flu's in the house lately consider spraying your mattress and pillows with an anti-bacterial spray. Then place those crisp freshly washed sheets and blanket on. Take extra care when making the bed.Really tuck those corners in and fluff the pillows. An extra tip is to toss your pillow in the dryer with a dryer sheet for added freshness and fluff. Use your bedspread or comforter and make up the rest of the bed. Take your time and know how much you will enjoy getting into your bed tonight and how wonderful it will feel.

Maybe tonight you will go to bed a little earlier or stay in bed a little longer tomorrow morning just taking some time to enjoy something so simple yet rewarding.

Peggy from NY &Florida

Today I went for a long walk in Midtown. I took the bus and got off early so I could walk. Our library is closed to indoor visits. I wanted a new self help book to read so went to the Goodwill. I got a book written by the dietitian from The Biggest Loser show. I read a couple chapters of it and it is informative. I am also reading a book a Spark friend told me about " Good Food Bad Diet" that is really opening my eyes. I am learning so much. I think I will make an appointment with my nutritionist and get back to some serious weight loss again. I have been toying with losing the last twenty pounds to goal. It is time to start eating healthy and exercising every day but Sunday.

Good Sunday morning !!
Merri:
I think of all the sayings,, this is the hardest for me,, Pray and Let It Go... I pray then pray some more and keep thinking about the what/why thing.. I really don't Let It Go.. but trying..

The service yesterday was so good.. and the gal was only 52.. I had her a couple yrs older.. BUT I took my sis in law, which was ,her X mother in law.. and she TALKED all through it.. even my SIL's son,,who sat behind us,, at the end said,,Mom why were you talking all though it??
I was a nervous wreck to say the least.. couldn't wait to drive my SIL home, she lives right next to her son and DIL but they wouldn't take her home..LOL

Going to Church today.. still have not mowed the back 2 lawns..

Think I will make chicken noodle soup today,, I know it's going to be a 80 o day,, but I need to use up all the chicken I cooked for the Fri night dinner..LOL

It is so nice and sunny here this morning. It is 42 and they say we will get to around 60! Will take it....Than starting this week...rain.....So, have to get out and see what we can get done today in our yard....I know it is too early to take too many things out yet. But, it seems this year, I just can't wait LOL...

Today is hamburgers on the grill. I think we both thought of it around the same time...Rick & Lisa are coming for lunch. I don't ask Rick too much if he is going back over to Afghanistan or not....He will have to decide that one for himself and how he feels about it...Sometimes moms have to just let them do what they think it best for them....

I really do feel bad for the mean neighbor next door...We just can't take his hatred yelling at us anymore and the words that come out of his mouth are like poison....His DD & DGD are staying away more now as well. I think alot of it is that he is so jealous of everyone and doesn't look into himself and see the two lovely DD's and DGD that he does have....I know one neighbor yrs ago sat on his porch once and all he did was talk about us and how we had so much.....Well, not material things..but love and companionship. He has never had that I guess...

Trudy, I bet the brats tasted to good in the smoker....I could see Mr Ken trying that someday...

Kathryn, Dark chocolate is the only kind that I used to eat...Enjoy!!!

Joyce, Oh I bet it felt so good to get out and walk around and see some new things after being in for so long. Maybe not to even get much at all....Just escaping for a few hours does a person so much good....

We had another shooting here in town last night. Three are dead and some in critical condition....What on earth is going on. They are thinking it has a lot to do with everyone being cooped up for so long with this Covid thing....It was at a tavern here...It is already on the Yahoo news

Good morning!
It's sunny and 39 right now. It's going to get up to 62 or so. I'm not happy with the forecast, LOL! Measurable snow for Tuesday/Wed....One of these days, it's going to get warm and stay there!
Peggy, enjoy your house party with your family. I know I love to zoom with my family. Last week my son and I zoomed for an hour and a half. It was great seeing him!
Joyce, how nice for you and Andy to just be out and on your own for a while. My sister calls that going rogue! LOL!
Merri, what are you and Mr. Ken up to today? Oh, I'll bet you were so happy to see the mean neighbor's ex-girlfriend. How nice that she's happier and I'll be healthier not being in that toxic situation.
Kathryn, I hope Ron enjoys whatever game he's going to. That electric wheelchair sure has been great for him, hasn't it!?!
Annie, so nice that Don could enjoy your company. I'm so sorry Kim had to miss it since she's the one who was so upset when she saw her dad. I hope she can spend some time with him soon!
My friend came over and brought some brats that I put on the smoker. They were so good.
We just had a couple of deli salads and some marinated asparagus with them.
Enough left over for each of us to have a meal today.
Everyone have a great day.

Good morning it's 68 and I rode the bike, filled the water bottles and made ice cubes and filled the water pitcher. That's enough for today ha ha.

We are off to Publix to do our weekly shopping and then it's home to eat our rolls and drink our coffee.

At 11 it's House Party with the family.

Kathryn, what game is Ron going to? Joyce we have had 2 in person meetings of the whole club (just 25 showed up) and one Trustees meeting.

Have a great day.

Good Evening Friends.....

Hope you all had a really good day! It was fun here - Andy and I escaped for awhile! Just kidding. Steven took the girls to the modular to do some work, Andrea was at work, Aiyden is with his Dad for the weekend, so it was a good time to go somewhere for a change. We had to go to the bank to do our change of address and to deposit our stimulus check we finally got. Chatted with my friend at the bank for a bit. We want to put Brenda on our checking account just in case for any reason we weren't able to handle things, she could do it. Just a precaution, but I'd feel better, so was finding out what we need to do.

Then we went to the Dollar General store and got a few things. Fun just to get a chance to browse the aisles and grab something that looked good. I got some things for the cemetery and then went there and cleaned off my son's grave and put a couple of things on it, and on my Mom and Dad's grave. Will do more before Memorial Dayl..Then we took a drive past our old homestead. It's empty at the moment, so we drove down the driveway and looked around a bit. It was fun to be out and about a little.

Trudy, that sure sounded like a fun day at the brewery! Glad you had a good time!

Annie, wow, it's a good thing Kim checked on her client!! Sure happy Don was able to be up and enjoy the company!

Merri, that's awesome you ran into the neighbor's ex and was able to give her a hug and catch up a little. I'm sure she was tickled to see you.

Peggy, is this the first "in person" meeting of the group coming upi? Looks like it was laundry day for several of us. I did ours, too.

Liz, how fun to have all four granddaughters share dinner with you!!! Love it. That must be fun having so many working on the same needlepoint project and seeing the variations everyone comes up with!

Hope tomorrow will be extra special for all of you!

Hi "
Yesterday turned out nice,, except Kim checked in with her client on her way here and drove him right to the ER.. Our GD called and said , "Mom where are you?" Kim said at the ER with her client,, turned out they ended up keeping him ,his oxygen level was so low.. SO glad she checked on him,,
We like him,, when she takes him to the Dr here in our town they always stop by..
but
the rest of us had a wonderful dinner ,,visiting time..

Don did ok.. he sat in his recliner and I fixed his meal,,put it on a TV tray..
He also held Amelia lots too...

Today I am heading to another town to a celebration of life service for our nephews X-wife.. We so loved her,, She was only 54 ,,fell and broke her hip.. (she had some bone issues ) and when they took her to the ER.. she never came to ....

Another beautiful day here,, going to be in the 80's...

Good morning,
It's cloudy and going to stay that way. I think it's supposed to be in the mid/high 50's.
Peggy, it sounds like your meeting went well, it's good that you're getting an early start on the Great Day celebration.
Liz, oh what fun! All 4 granddaughters. Your project for the needlework group sounds fun too.
It will be fun to see how everyone embellished their painting.
Joyce, enjoy the birthday party. That's one thing about being back in OH, not many weekends not celebrating a birthday! LOL! Good luck to Steven!
Merri, I can understand Rick having mixed thoughts about his job. Lisa sounds like a perfect fit for your family. I don't blame you for waiting for the shoulder surgery if it's needed.
Annie, oh my, it must have hurt when your daughter started crying. That's one thing about living with the person. You don't see the changes as much as someone who doesn't see that person regularly. I hope today goes well and that Don feels like being up and with them all.
I had a good time at the brewery yesterday. I got there about 4 and got home a few minutes after 7. We thought there was going to be a food truck, but, they had staffing issues, so we ordered 4 pizzas and all chipped in. Just a really enjoyable time! Today I think my friend Leslie is coming over and we're going to have brats and a couple of salads she picked up at the grocery store. Nothing special but, it will be good to catch up with her. She's back in the office now and I don't see her as often. When she was home she came over a couple of times a week, because she needed to get out of the house.
Everyone have a great Sat!!

Here we are starting out a nice weekend once again...It is nice and sunny here. Only 36 and going to get to the middle 50's....I'm not sure what Mr Ken wants to do today.....I have to do our sheets and wash my sleep apnea things.

Yesterday was one of the best days in a long time for me!!! We had to bring our grass cuttings to the drop off place. While we were there I seen Marilyn that used to live with the mean neighbor next door!!! What a place to meet LOL...She calls it the dump....We hugged and hugged some more. She looks so much better now...She was with a GUY!!! While I was giving her a hug...she said "I am so much happier now"...Than we hugged again and than came our tears......God sure can find odd places to answer my prayers...You just never know when and where he will do that for us.....As we left to go there, the mean neighbor was cutting his grass all by himself...No neighbor was helping him at all...So sad really....

Annie, It has to be so hard when the kids come and see Don that way. We are doing pretty good here on our own...but yet, we never know what tomorrow will bring....That was a good response for you to say to your DD. I think her name is Kim? We have a Kim as well....

Joyce, Any plans for today now that you have two days off of school? I bet you can get out alot more now even if it is only in Brenda & Jim's beautiful yard. I think I remember you saying that you like to just sit out on the deck too...Just some "me" time is good too...

Peggy, We both have our sheets going already....Enjoy your walk...

I have been thinking alot about Sunshine that used to be on here. She was always so positive and I loved her sayings....

Kathryn, Do you see Sunshine on any other sites anymore? How is your exercises and healthy eating going now?

Good morning!! It's 68 and we're off for our walk

The wash is in and the coffee is brewed so when we get back we can have our first cup of coffee.

We had a pretty good meeting on the food area for Great Day in the Country. We are having it in November and it is in a new place. We have to meet in person on Tuesday so that we can see how much room we have for the food.

Have a great day

Awwww, that has to be so hard for them Annie. With you being there all the time I imagine they see more of a change than you do. Glad they want to spend time with him and give you a “sanity break” at the same time!

She said,, Mom we'll be here today... ( Fri) Kevin and his family are coming for dinner,, I am going to end up with everyone.. I am making enchilada;s in a white sauce.. Kim said she makes them in a red sauce.. I told her,,she can make some and I'll make some...LOL

The kids want to spend as much time with their dad as possible..

I think part of Don's really bad day,,was he wanted to try and charge his pickup battery,, he hasn't been out to his pickup in over a yr... He couldn't breath,, I got him back into the house and wheeled him to his recliner and put his breathing machine on him...

We pay for AAA ,, I go,, let them do it..LOL gona call them today

Good Morning!

39 here, should get to mid 40s. Hard to believe it was 80 last week!

Gwyn, that swim had to feel so good to you!

Kathryn, you are on a fitness roll fir sure!

Sorry the season ended with a loss for Adin Peggy!

Merri, I always found mowing therapeutic....could think my own thoughts with no one bothering me! Lol Sounds like Lisa Is a perfect fit for the family! The adoption hearing is set fir the end of May. It will be virtual, like many things these days.

Trudy, the brewery sounds like fun! Steven is a maintenance person but would take anything he can do if the pay is enough. I think the job he is interviewing for today is 3rd shift, which he is not crazy about but he will see what they have to say. Not sure what the one next week is.

Sunday is a family birthday dinner for Amy. Her daughter Courtney is having it. She asked if I would make pasta salad, easy enough,

Liz. You must be happy to have the shot over with!

Annie, I hope no one gives you a hard time today and your arm is feeling better!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Here it is already Fri once again!! This week went by so fast!! It is only 36 and going to get to the low 50's once again today...

Mr Ken is deciding what he wants for lunch yet. We can always find something is this house. Yesterday we treated ourselves to Culvers as long as we were out anyway....Than we went to Farm & Fleet (our favorite store)...

I think this afternoon I am going to cut the grass in the back yard. It is getting a bit too much for me to do the whole yard in one day this year. Maybe once I get used of it once again....

My visit to the rheumatologist went well. She was just surprised that the orthopedic Dr that she sent me to for my shoulder hadn't done surgery on me and had it all done. She said it will never get better over time. She said there are three small spurs and one bigger one...Alot of small tears as well....Back to the other Dr she said.....If my shoulder would need surgery sometime....it will have to wait for fall as I am not going to give up my grass cutting this summer...I love it way too much...summer...I only gained ONE lb in four months!!! Not bad for being in most of the winter time...But than, I guess I did do alot of snow shoveling???

This what they had in our newspaper this morning...Gov. Tony Evers, gets a tour of the Pfizer facility in Pleasant Prairie, from which the companys COVID-19 vaccines are distributed. That is maybe 6 miles from our house...

Trudy, We are having the same weather once again....Enjoy your day....

Joyce, That is great that Andrea's sugar count is ok...I have heard of some pregnant women having their sugar go up being pregnant...So sorry to hear that Steven's job didn't work out...

I hope the adoption for the girls goes through soon now...It will be so nice for them...

Kathryn, Just be careful and try lifting the weights that might be too heavy for you now....We don't want you tearing something in your arms/shoulders....

Trudy, I think Rick has alot of mixed feeling about going back to Afghanistan now that he has been home for so long. It would be so nice if he could still work for the same company as still stay home...He has had Lisa in his life now for over three yrs or more and she is good for him....She gets him up and moving like I do Mr Ken......They both don't talk much and get their noses in the computer too much....Have to pull them away from that now that the weather is so much nicer. Rick & Lisa bought some really nice bikes last spring....Need to get out there and get moving!!! Lisa & I don't sit still for very long....

Good morning,
It's 33 again this morning and it's going to be about 60.
Peggy, it's nice to have two afghans going. When you get bored/tired of one pattern you can work the other.
Liz, enjoy the sunshine. I'm glad your shots are over for now. Nice to have two needlework groups this week. You're right, it's nice to see people.
Joyce, it sounds like things are going well there. What type of work is Steven applying for? I'm sorry the other job didn't work out. Good thing too, that Andrea's blood work was good. Low iron is often a result of pregnancy.
Gwyn, I'll bet swimming did feel great!
Merri, as long as Rick has been home, I have wondered if he would give up the travel. If he doesn't go back can he still work for the same company? He has been stateside for so long now.
Kathryn, those weights are such a good thing to help with general health.
Annie, absolutely no reason to apologize. You were treated terribly, no matter what the pharmacist was going through, she was wrong, wrong, wrong in her interaction with you.
It was nice making cards yesterday. We were there a couple of hours.
Tonight the Y group is getting together at the local brewery that one of your group is part owner of. They have a good setup. Tables only for 6 each, 6 feet apart, and have to wear a mask when not at your table.
No plans for the weekend.
Everyone have a great day.

Good morning all!! It's 68 and we're off for our walk. Plus today is bagel day so another good thing.

Adin's team lost their last soccer game so soccer is over for this school year. Maybe we'll get to see a match this year if he starts in September when we are up there.

More tree work today.

Have a great day.

Morning All! 42 and clearing here! Rain has finished for the weekend!

Wednesday I got the Pfizer shot. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. My arm is a little sore and itchy but that's it! I'm very lucky!

This is my busy week. I had a needlepoint meeting after the shot and again yesterday and another one tomorrow. At least I feel like I'm getting to see other people, so it's not so confining!

Enjoy the weekend!

Zone 3: Mission #5 Friday

Dear Friends, Today let's grab some general purpose cleaner and shine those counter tops and bathroom sinks! Clear everything off the counter top and wipe them from side to side and top to bottom. Then use a little elbow grease and scrub your sink, then spritz the counter top and sink with a little Windex to make it shine.

This is the last day we have in the guest bedroom. We have worked hard this week, and I am proud of you! Today set your timer and relax. For 15 minutes sit down and have a cup of tea or coffee (don't forget to drink your water). Take time to be still and take care of you.

Today is turning out okay I did my peddler for 60 minutes in the morning and 60 in the afternoon. I took a long walk in Midtown and also worked out with my five pound weights. I am thinking about getting eights or tens, maybe adding a kettle ball to my workout equipment. I have resistance bands and weighted boxing gloves also for my strength training. I am really in to working out this Spring!!!
