Looking back over my data, I decided I needed to pay more attention to such things as the
amount of protein at each meal, getting healthy fats/oil at breakfast (was getting enough at other meals) and perhaps get more fiber into my meals. My system does not clean out daily and never has. Regularity for me has usually been every 3-5 days throughout my life.

Even having the flax granola does not get my system to flush out the next morning.

Last week, I had flax granola one morning and decided to eat one of my old (pre-Plan) high fiber cereals the next morning. I knew my weight would be up with the pre-Plan cereal because it contained wheat (non-friendly). The next morning, I had another cereal with a decent amount of fiber (friendly, without wheat). Finally, movement.

My weight came back down.

Yesterday morning, I was back down into the 137 range (137.6) after having gone clear up to 139.2 (after various reactive foods and the wheat high fiber cereal during the week).

Yesterday morning, we had an important meeting across town. I drank my water, took my breakfast with me and ate it during the meeting, drank more water, ate unsalted french fries at Burger King, more water, Plan-friendly lunch, water, went to a friend's for dinner.

At dinner, part was Plan-friendly, part was not. Although the food was delicious, and I tried to minimize my off-Plan consumption, I found the weather changes in the air caused a problem. When I got home, I was still missing some of my water for the day, so I added 2 packets of EmergenC to the water, took 2,000mg of MSM, 2 zinc lozenges (swollen glands and soreness in throat was starting), took it all and then watched TV for about an hour before going to bed.

I knew I would be up this morning due to inflammation, lack of sleep (only had about 6.5 or 7 hours of sleep), water after dinner, and whatever non-friendly foods were in the dinner (salt, cow's milk cheese, etc.).

Yesterday morning's 137.6 was 139.2 today! UP 1.6 lbs.

I am looking forward to eating on-Plan today to see if I can drop this extra weight within a day or so.

I keep checking the LynGenet.com website to see if she has posted the new Spring menu, but I suspect it may not be out until Monday even though she said it would be out on May 5th.

Hope everything is going according to Plan for you!

So I did start TOM today finally. Weight still 187.0 with no change up or down. Being that I have increased my eating by quite a bit due to TOM I feel really good about that. I did eat venison last night so I really hoping that means I am not reactive to it as that is pretty much the only kind of dark meat we eat. I have like 30 lbs of venison hamburger in the freezer. Going to do day 3 today to keep on track and be able to test again tomorrow now that I can start testing again. On Friday I got so many compliments about how I look it amazed me I only lost 10.8 lbs and yet everyone is asking what I did how I did it etc. Even my young (son's age young) cashier at Target said something about how great I look. What a great feeling that is. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good morning All,
Today I have resolved to try to drink all of my target water. To date have been totally unsuccessful in that area, and always start with the best intentions each morning. Yesterday I managed about half of my target, maybe this is the reason I haven't seen too much weight loss? I have been reading some of the posts where their only change in diet is to drink the target amount of water and they lose impressive amounts of weight. I have though, been amazingly regular and my skin (I also have exzema) is clear and the texture has much improved. As a side note I have been to dozens of dermatologists for 40 years and this is the first time in my life that I am not having any skin issues.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Yay Mel! Fingers crossed you pass the cheese test.

I'm up 1.4 today. Our dinner plans were changed to 4:30 which didn't give me time to squeeze in lunch yesterday. We dined at an Indian restaurant and we had appetizers that had chickpeas (I know I'm reactive to them) and I ordered lamb korma for my entree. The sauce has yogurt in it which I've read is highly reactive. After we indulged in desserts. Today will be a safe day so hopefully I'll be back down in a couple of days.

I watched a movie in french with no subtitles! Never done that before. My poor understanding of french did not help! But anyway, we got the gist of it.

I just wanted to report back and say that I did ( redid) day 3 yesterday and am down under that plateau weight of 155 , down to 154.8 this morning! whoo hoo!

Now, that poses the question:
Was I reactive to all the other things on day 4 - 9? ( seeing no weight loss) or was I just plateauing?
Hmmmm, time will tell, I am going to retest cheese today and I will let you know.
Have a good one and be kind to your body!
