When I had coffee it gave me what felt like a hot flush, so I did not have it again, and I'm not really missing it for now!

I have never been a coffee drinker, but would like to have more beverage choices that are okay to consume "with" my meal. I love milk and would drink a glass or two or three along with my meal. No surprise that cow's milk is not my friend!

I used to love chopping up almonds and adding them to my cereal, to my salad, or simply eating as snacks. Another food that was found to be unfriendly.

I have never been much of a fish eater. So, of course, it turns out that fish is indeed friendly! Luckily, I have enjoyed most of the fish varieties I have tested so far.

I grew up hating lamb and the smell of lamb. Since the Plan, I find that I truly enjoy lamb and it is friendly.

Seeing a pattern?

I definitely believe that Lyn-Genet is right. When we consume something every day for years, it can certainly build up sensitivities. I hope she is also correct that we can simply retest every so often (once every six months or once a year for some items) and may eventually find that we can do that favorite food in moderation once again.

Count me in as another list maker. Today is my 13th day on TP, I only need to lose 5 lbs but they are the hardest 5 lbs! When I have a reaction day I go back to 1 or 2 safe days until I see a loss again. Then I either retest a food I was unsure of or go on to a new test. I am fine with both goat and manchego cheeses and almonds. My problem arose when I started drinking coffee again, I felt very ill. The first time I drank it with 1/2 & 1/2 and trivia, this was also my goat cheese test day so I had no way of knowing what made me sick. I then did a safe day and retested coffee with coconut milk and raw sugar, I had horrible sour stomach. So I've gone back and retested those days but have not tried coffee since.

Today is my first test with chickpeas....fingers crossed. The only day that I can say I had a positive reaction was my new protein which was steak.

Way to go Lib!

I can't wait until my list of friendly foods is a little longer and I am a list maker like you, So I am really impressed!

Finally!

Down 1.4 (Flax seed on Wed, major lack of water on Thurs, flax seed on Fri) and finally dot dot dot... You get the picture.

Didn't have my thermometer this morning so didn't get my bbt.

Last night I made a list of the proteins, day by day, in calendar format (kind of). I then checked my +- pass/fail results and crossed out the failed days. Basically, I wanted to see how I had been doing as far as rotating my proteins correctly (such as beef only once a week, etc.).

Then I made another list (yeh, guess I am truly a list maker) of numbers 1-7 and wrote down week by week (for the days I have kept enough data) which animal proteins I had breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner for each day of that particular week. Then I would make another list 1-7 and do the same for the animal proteins for that week. Oh, I did list rice and egg whites, too.

Today I decided to test uncured Canadian bacon. It was quite salty (even after soaking it to leach out some of the salt). To balance the salt, I ate avocado and unsalted potato chips. Hopefully I will be able to do a complete and accurate test today. We ran out of good water at home. Our tap water, even double filtered, tastes like salt so it is difficult to drink enough of it and we ran out of the distilled and purified that I can drink easily.

Here's hoping to get enough water to make an accurate test!

Hey Mel,

The goat cheese may have been a bust but the manchego is from sheep's milk. You can certainly test it. Some have found one works when the other doesn't. Luckily, I can do goat and sheep's cheese but I definitely need to retest cow's milk cheese. I know for sure I failed cow's milk (whole milk) and I've tried goat's milk but was not certain whether I passed it or not. Will need to retest.

As for going back to Day 3 (if it was friendly for you) or going on to Day 5 as a rest day (no new test item), it is totally up to you. That's the cool thing about the plan. It is yours!

Hope all your data dreams come true!

I am the same after testing cheese ( day 4)
Although I did have the bourbon sauce with the chicken for the first time, so I am not sure what to make of it!

So I guess Cheese is a no no for now until I can retest later.

My dillema was do I go back to day 3 ( which is a cleanse day and I read somewhere you should not do too many cleanse days) or go on to day 5 but not test the Rye.

I guess I will do that, do day 5 without the Rye.

If goat's cheese tested as reactive, do I then not try the manchego too?

Sorry to ask so many questions but it is all rather new and overwhelming!

Hope you are all having a great day?
