good luck keep with it the weight will go down .. the reason no soda is your immune system is compromise and soda can hurt your kidneys

First of all don't get discouraged. I am not a diabetic, but it runs in my family and my husband was diagnosed as prediabetic. He was told if you have a carb have a protein with it. So he eats an apple w/ peanut butter etc. I think the most important thing is try to keep to a regular schedule when you eat and when you sleep. I think it is good that you cut out soda. I've done that also. Just take one day at a time and look on spark people they have all kinds of healthy recipes that are good. I know you can do this. Now you just have to believe in yourself. Good Luck !

So, I've been diabetic since August 2019, I lost about 35 pounds right off the bat before I was diagnosed. I've gained about 15 of it back since being put on medication. I've completely cut out soda's including diet soda and stick to flavored water. I've been eating better but I'm stuck and not losing weight. People always told me to cut out soda's and you'll start losing weight. Well, I've done that and instead of dropping weight I gained almost half of it back. I was down to 236 from 265 and now and back up to 250.

Very frustrated and discouraged.
