I have always wondered how those body mass calculators even work? I thought you had to get weighed in a pool for an accurate number. I always wondered how they did that magic without getting us wet. Anybody know?

If you are sedentary and dieting without exercise, that is exactly what is expected to happen.


If you are active with exercise, and eating adequate protein to feed that tissue requirement, you should be gaining muscle mass, and therefore weight, unless your also burning fat at a faster pace, by exercising out whatever calories over 800 you consume in.

Gaining fat from the fatty meats as the best form of protein is also possible but highly improbable in the face of losing overall weight, especially if you are exercising.

But if you are exercising, and gaining fat while losing weight, maybe you are not eating a BALANCED diet......? or.... you may have some sort of bone loss due to a calcium deficiency, magnesium, zinc, potassium or other nutrients for the absorption and processing of bone calcium, or some other condition. As I am not a doctor I really don't know. The only thing I can say is make sure you are exercising out in order to achieve the calorie deficit rather than starving yourself.


Don't kill them, don't get rid of them, JUST FIX THEM.
Stop the devaluation of life, reduce abuse n neglect, and END the needless euthanasia of homeless animals. Practice spay or neuter of your pets and prevent unwanted births through advocating s/n in your area. Thank You!!

My Curves instructor told me to keep my protein up, as I'm in maintenance. She told me that it was very important to get the protein, and keep training at Curves 4 times a week. If I don't do that, I run the risk of all this , undoing all that God has done, and everything turning to FAT!!!

Are you exercising and doing some strength training? I read something about losing weight without the strength training...that we could be come a fat skinny person, or vice-versa. It had to do with losing muscle mass along the way. Just an idea.

I have a FitBit Aria Scale. It gives weight and body fat percentage. Can you tell me why my body fat is increasing although I am losing weight? Thanks so much!
