Denise! I raced to your Spark page to see your bedroom pictures! Great job! I liked that you took several pics and gave us better ideas of how it all looked! The very fact that you've created your bedroom to be so inviting and restful is terrific!

I just bought a new quilt for my RV bed, and now I'm looking for some new sheets for it! I didn't change color schemes or anything, but it seems like if you change ONE thing, it sets off a chain reaction to change/update another thing! LOL

Christine - Finally got the sconces up and I've posted pictures. In a way I still think there is something missing, but then again I can't stand clutter so this is the way it's gonna be for a while. I'm sure something will grab me and I'll want to put it in my room! lol I do know that I want to find a small storage bin that I can sit on to put on shoes. Cause trying to put on my shoes on that bed is a pain! Too high! lol

Lovedby2 - Yep!!! Baby steps! You'll get there. Even though you are struggling to stay on plan, just keep on trying and eventually you'll get to that point. It's probably a struggle for everyone on here, me included, so you're not alone. Soreness let's you know that something is happening so keep it up!

Just completed last workout of the day/week!!! How sweet it is! I am so going to enjoy my day off tomorrow. Next week, one workout per day!!! Yes!

Well I finally did the dreaded holiday weigh in. I was so happy and shocked that I didn't gain any weight!!!! I have started the SD again but I am really struggling to stay on it totally. I keep trying everyday. I have done some rebounding. Just 10 minutes. It"s enough for this old body. I woke up today with a little soreness. Wow, I am so out of shape. I have to remember baby steps.

First workout completed today. I probably won't get to the second one until later this evening but as long as I do, it's all good!

Christine - I did find lamps not the best but I was ready to finish it. I still need to put up my sconces and they WILL be put up by Sunday!!! Then I'll take pictures and post for all to see! My honey keeps saying how awesome the bed is! lol I think he is in love with the duvet cover. emoticon Since it gets cold in the evening, and the cover is pretty heavy I think he is loving the warmth! lol

As for Shaun T, I did finish the first month and can say that it's not one of my favorite workouts. I was going to start the second month but that is when I caught a cold and when I was over it, I just couldn't wrap my mind around trying to start up again. Plus it was 45 min. to and 1 hour long. And the moves are killer that I don't think I would have completed most of the workout. I know some people were able to complete it but I'm afraid that I might injure myself. And it's not worth all that! So, I want to lose at least 40 lbs before I revisit trying it again. I am actually getting in to the Jillian Michael's program! I'm doing suicide drills, running man although I really don't like them so at times I'll do butt kicks which I tried today and was able to complete!!! And high knees!!! I was stoked that I could do them because I know they will come up at some point in the program.

I hope you feel better soon. This is just the season where everyone seems to be catching the bug. I may need to try some mucinex because I can't get rid of the mucus that seems to be stuck in my throat.

Well Ladies.... its has happened.... I too have the dreaded head cold now ! I feel just blah and since I have HBP I can NEVER take decongestants or anything much to help and just have to suffer. I do take coricidin HBP made for ppl with high blood pressure. Along with mucinex which is the best stuff EVER !! I had another bday party to attend this weekend and will miss and now they are predicting RECORD low temps for our area all next week. The cold is just miserable. The wind is blowing and howling to bring in the cold temps so I will hitting the progresso light soups this weekend while the hubs works all weekend.

Susy- so glad to hear from you and way to go on the exercising.... shame on me that is where I am really lacking right now...

Denise you are the exercise machine right now.... did you ever finish the shaun T workouts and what did you think of them ??? I love Julian Michael'[s and I am sure she is kicking you good ! Did you finish the bedroom? Or are you still looking for lamps ?

I shall probably take a nap later .... I am trying to force my water in since I know it will help with the mucinex medicine but its hard with a cold to drink water ..;.

Susy - good to see you made it back. I knew you'd get around to posting again. I think most people are still treating this week as a holiday. I think most will come back by Monday.

And those salads in the jar are not too bad. I've been itching to have one and had it today! lol Once you hit the bottom, it all falls out into the bowl. :-)

Completed both workouts today. One just five minutes ago!!! Come on next week! lol I'm ready for one workout a day!

Hey ladies! I know... I know... I've been MIA for a while.

But I've kept up with reading all the posts on here!!!

Each evening I think: I'll start back on TSD tomorrow--and then I'll start posting on the team again. But... each day I haven't done it; and so I haven't posted. ...sad face...

On the POSITIVE side: I have gotten back to regular exercising! Yay!

Denise: Hope you continue feeling better! Super proud of you for continuing your workouts even while sick! You are one determined lady!!! Hey, let me know if you like how those salads are in the jars! I've seen them on Pinterest, but haven't tried it.

Christine, I read what you posted about your friend who was in that accident. My heart went out to him (and of course, the person killed). About 30 years ago, a young man who I'd known as he was growing up, was driving home in the evening on a hilly road. The west sun was in his eyes and he couldn't see as he came over a hill. And sadly, he ran over a bicyclist in the road. In these kinds of situations, there are certainly two victims.

Lori, sorry about your cold as well! I think this is THE year for colds and flu! I -never- get sick, but 3 weeks ago, our whole karaoke group got sick two days after being out together! There were 11 of us, and only one did not get it. One guy went to the doctor and they said their offices have been deluged with people with the flu!

I got up and was able to do my second workout. Not as intense as if I were not sick but I did it. I could feel the heat coming from my body but heck maybe that will help get rid of the cold sooner! lol

I finished off the old year with a hellish cold but am finally feeling better and anxious to get back on track.

Christine frozen fruits and veg are the way to go in the winter if you have a hard time finding decent fresh stuff.

Would you believe it! I am sick again! This really sucks but regardless I completed my first workout for today. I'm going to take a shower and dope myself and go to bed. We'll see if I'm able to do the second workout later on this evening. If I can't thank goodness I'm still on plan. The second work is extra.

Lovedby2 - It is the Jillian Michael's Body Revolution program. She has a quickstart week which consists of two workouts a day for seven days. After the first week, you only do one workout a day. And trust me I am waiting on it! lol I am not a morning person so I'm getting up at the butt crack of dawn to do it!

Morning and evening workout of JMBR cardio one completed. On to the next! :-) Glad I'm doing W/O one tomorrow. Need a break from the cardio! lol

Lovedby2 - congrats on getting started!!! Just take it one day at a time and you'll be up that mountain in no time! I'm so glad all the treats are gone and I won't miss them for a while!

well I am ready to get back on the diet! I have felt like a total slug eating all the holiday sweets and treats. I am glad to see it go. I just started using my rebounder for ten minutes. I have had no exercise in soooo long. Honestly, it feels like a mountain to climb....a very high mountain. emoticon

Happy New Year Christine!!!

Most of our bad foods are gone too! Thank goodness! And whatever isn't gone by the end of today will be thrown in the trash! I'm sick of looking at it! lol

I'm getting ready to go get stocked up on salads and fruits. I seen a really good idea online. You use mason jars and add the veggies in layers. Example: carrots, radishes, cheese and lettuce to the jar. Add whatever veggies you like to the jar in layers. They say add the dressing at the bottom but I'm not feeling that because I'd be afraid it would come up to the lettuce and wilt it. So I will put that in a container by itself. I am going to make five for the week. When you're ready to eat, you just dump the salad in a bowl and get busy!!! lol I really do miss salads.

I completed my first workout for the New Year!!! Tonight I get to do the same Cardio workout again! Man! This is going to be a beast of a workout to complete but I'm down for it!

You ARE INSPIRING me !! I had a wonderful bday and now I am ready to get back with it. I have most of the bad foods out of the house .... all that is left is some brownies !! I am tired of not feeling good and I have been out of control for a long time and I am ready to feel good again !!! I am stocked up on my dinners and the hard part for me is the veggies in the winter are just NOT as good ..... does any one have any ideas ??? I am going to cook some cabbage and black eyed peas for new years.... that 's a good Luck tradition !!

As far as Frozen was concerned ..... it was cute but n ot what I expected ..... it was more of a princess/barbie/ sing a song movie than I thought.... I was expecting more like ice age.... but my great NIECE LOVED it !! it was a girlie movie so of course !!

Happy new year everyone..... hope 2014 is wonderful for you and your family

So I started the Jillian Michaels Body Revolution program!!! I got up @ 6:45 am this morning, drank two cups of coffee, ran a factory settings program to clean out a computer and then I did the workout @ 7:45 am!!! LOL Can you spell procrastination! LOL I so didn't want to do that workout but I got it done. Tonight when I get home I get the pleasure of doing another one but I'll be needing a nap first! All I did was flip and flop all night long!

Completed the evening workout too! Off to bed so I can do the next morning workout!

Christine Over my cold!!! Yippee!!! Well, still have residual but I say Im cured! Lol Do the best you can when eating the good stuff. Its hard in stay on plan when you have so much going on during the holidays. And if it was my birthday and old stompin grounds!!! Id be doing the same. :-)

So sorry about the unfortunate accident your friend was in. Id be pretty shakin up too but he just needs to realize it was out of his control. It seems like sense the time changed its harder to see people as they are walking around during the evening. I know I have a hard time seeing people, especially those wearing dark clothing. Beginning to think some type of reflective gear should be worn.

oh Denise---- very sorry to hear about your cold !! Nothing worse than a dang cold this time of the holidays !! Get better !!

Well gang I have eaten terrible and its not over yet !! I head out of town this weekend to Nashville to visit some old friends and celebrate my Bday early ! I will probably eat at all my favorite old stomping grounds.... we lived there for 16 years before moving back to KY ! while I am looking forward to going I am dreading MORE OVEREATING !!! Come january 1st I will be really really ready to get with it.

On a sad note I ask for Prayers for my Friend VAN who ran over a 19 year old with his car on the 23rd and killed him. Van is of course devastated and trying to figure out some sort of way to deal with this. Van was meeting another car at the same time and swerved as much as he could be the young man was in dark clothing and he couldn't miss him. it HAS TRULY rocked his world. Please pray for the other boy's family.... the Canups also.

I will be probably out of pocket all weekend.... hope everyone is keeping on keeping on

I'm ready to get it crackalackin!!! I've planned my workouts up until June of next year!!! As well as my meal plan.

I do believe I'm going to get started next week. Jillian's program is 90 days. The first week, which is the quickstart requires that you do two workouts that day. One in the morning; other in the evening. I normally have to do a school drop in the morning and she'll be off for a while so it's probably best I do it soon. I also want to find a board that is doing the program because it definitely does help if you've got company.

Well I've been sick these past few days and it's still lingering on so I've decided to eat as good as I can considering the holiday day. I'm planning my attack regarding weight loss in the new year so that I can be prepared. And I better be over this dang cold! Hey everyone !

Lori, so glad you got to spend time with the husband ! Sorry about your gain but I too have gained and am looking forward to the new years !

I am going out of town this weekend to have christmas with the in laws and then back home late Sunday night . We are expecting torrential down pours and lots of rain and possible flooding here all weekend. I do not like driving in the rain due to hydroplaning possibilities !

I am only half way done with the wrapping an d have NEVER done this before ...don't know what to think about me this year !! All the chocolate goodies for the stockings have been calling my name and I am about to buy some ear plugs !!!

Susy - I sure hope you are feeling better and doing alright now... how miserable to be sick around the holidays !!

I'm back home today. I have to take care of my nephew tomorrow.

I made a mistake and ate half a candy bar yesterday. It just made me ravenous for more! It made me wind up eating more than was in the plan. There is always today! :)

The holidays are a tough time of year!

Jeans are in many ways physically and emotionally painful. Who made these things in the first place!!

I had a wonderful crazy week with my husband. He was away 3 weeks came home for a week and has now left again for 3 weeks. We crammed our whole Christmas season into one week, shopping, visits with friends and family and our own little Christmas. I also drank many adult beverages and topped it all off with Chinese food the night before weigh in...never a good idea. It all resulted in a 3 pound gain. emoticon

Jennifer: emoticon emoticon job on the jeans I think we have all felt the pain of jeans both physical and emotional.

Christine: You always seem to be so crazy busy! emoticon you'll get through it.

Susy: Food poisoning is awful! I'm glad you're feeling better.

Hey! Hey team mates!

Christine, and to everyone else on this team: I will admit... I'm unable to stick to TSD right now. BUT... I, too, am anxiously looking forward to the brand new start of 2014 to re-start!

I've bought a brand new exercise dvd that I'm pretty excited about: MaxT3. Haven't started it yet; going to save it for the start of 2014.

Congrats to DietRockStar with her jean size!!! I'm so happy! happy! for you!

My most recent news is: Both hubby and I are just now getting over a case of food poisoning! Talk about s..i..c..k..

DH's case wasn't as severe as mine (he says). But his is lasting a little bit longer. I think it's because I've been taking my charcoal supplements, my essential oils, drinking my herbal teas, plus having cinnamon/honey mixture. He just chose to take an OTC cold/flu supplement. (Which in my mind, just masks the symptoms and doesn't heal anything.)

Jennifer first let me say ....... emoticon and a big emoticon on the size 8 jeans and feeling good !! That is awesome my friend !

I have been doing HORRIBLE with my eating and no exercise either !! I have not been this far off track in a long time. I am so stressed and this week I have my annual ob/gyn appt and then another birthday in family and two trips out of town this week !! I still have tons of wrapping to do and I am a bit overwhelmed. I too am like Denise and anxious for the first of the year to get a do over !!

Just two more birthdays and 3 more parties and christmas to go this month !

Woot! Woot!! Dietrockstar!!! Isn't it great that you were able to get in your jeans and they not hurt!!! lol Trust me! I know what you mean! lol I too am in a few of my clothing that I couldn't wear last year!

I've prepped all my dinners for the week. I'm suppose to do a clean challenge on a board at facebook but they put out what you are to eat a day before and it doesn't look like they have done it yet so I don't know how well this challenge is going to go for me. You know I like to be prepared!!! Don't they know peeps have to prep early! Humph! lol I'm still going to try it but if it's always set up like this, then I'll have to skip it next time. I don't wanna be in the friggin kitchen everyday preparing meals for a challenge.

Don't know about all of you but I can't wait for the New Year's!! I love the fresh start of a diet/workout program! lol I'm going to use my meal replacement program for the month of January! (It's like the Simple Diet.) Then I plan on going back to the Simple Diet come February. I'll also be doing crazy Jillian Body Revolution for three months so I'll need to find another diet for March. (I have one in mind but I can't remember it right now! lol It will definitely be based on the Simple Diet.) Figure I'd keep mixing it up. :-) I'll probably just leave it alone after the third month and stick with TSD.

I am glad you did not pay for something that you were not happy with.

I tried on a bunch of old clothes yesterday. Could not believe they fit.

I wore a pair of new jeans out last night. Size 8 and they didn't hurt. LOL I remember when wearing jeans hurt.

DIETROCKSTAR!!! - That is not what I wanted to hear! lol I might have to switch framers. There was a Aaron's right next door to Michael's. If I need it done again, maybe I'll try them next time. And employee at the job uses them for our company framing and she seems to like them. I hear they have the same type of deals as Michael's. I guess it's a good thing Victor took it back. He pretended like I was overly upset about the whole thing while we were on the phone and got them to return $50 to my credit card. lol While we were on the phone he said to me, STOP YELLING AT ME! At that point I thought he'd lost him evera lovin mind! lol Then I realized he was trying to show them how upset I was about the whole thing! The lil liar!!! lol

I'm still trying to hang in there as everyone else! I've been so exhausted after work this week and haven't been able to do anymore workouts. It is a harder month so I think I'll wait until Saturday to start that month. I'm just trying to get through this week. Shoot! I thought it was Friday yesterday! I was so disappointed and relived that it wasn't. I have so much work to do and I want to get it done before the weekend. Told my boss, I'm glad she mention it because I'd still be asleep today! I even turned off my alarm that is how convinced I was it was Friday yesterday! lol

Christine - you guys be safe with that drive. That is a lot of miles up and back! Have fun at the Christmas party. I'm so glad our company party is over!!

happy Friday the 13th !

well today I have to attend a seminar for work .... YUCK !!! then later we will drive over 120 miles to another Niece's college graduation ! Tomorrow is another xmas party and more of the same so I must buckle down to get through it all !

I have a friend who is a framer at Michaels and you should hear the stories and how they don't tell the truth to the customers.

I know it is a tough time of year. I had an out of town visitor and I let myself get a bunch of carbs. Need to get back on the wagon today.

Socializing is so hard when you don't drink, let along when you restrict your diet!

Good morning ladies !!

Well this week has been hit and miss for me.... I am on plan every OTHER day and off every other day .... ERRRRRR !!! Don't like that but at least I did walk 18 miles this week !! I am doing my best during the holidays and that is what it is ...... ya know ? I know I have gained because I have eaten stuff I've not had in months and months !! I will weigh in hopefully this thursday.

SUSY- so glad to hear from you sweetie...... I was beginning to worry but I know how busy this time of year is for everyone. Don't you worry because we are all in the same boat with you and we are striving for persistence not perfection !! everyday is a new day !!

Denise- I am not believing that Michael's did that to you .... sorry for your mishap but glad they gave you money off and at least acknowledged it ! are you still doing the shaun T thing? I still want to maybe try it next year ???

Lori- I too for some unknown reason " feel" I deserve chocolate at this time of year....LOL.... I bought myself one of the small boxes of chocolate covered cherries and ate two a day till they were gone.... OUCH !!! I also love the chocolate orange things that you " WACK" and can only get at xmas ! I put those in everyones stocking... my tradition thing. I know everyone's favorite candy so they get that in their stockings therefore I am scouring the candy aisle of which I usually NEVER go down !! I am so with you on not wasting my calories on NON good things ... at least if I am to go overboard .. I am like you... make it for something good that I will LOVE !! I wish ya luck too !!

Oh YIKES, Lori! While their intentions are good (i.e., giving gifts), the temptation certainly isn't helpful for those of us working on our nutritional intake!

But your plan -does- sound pretty good! Like you, if I find myself eating something that just doesn't taste that good, I stop eating it because of NOT wanting the calories from something not even very tasty! I'm rooting for you to stay strong!

Hey Denice! I am proud of you for getting back to your workouts!

I personally have been struggling BIG TIME! My birthday / Thanksgiving / then 3-day roadtrip / and now being in this RV resort where EVERYONE'S social life revolves around going out to eat is just killing me! I've put back on some pounds---which I absolutely hate admitting.

The one positive thing I've done so far while here in this area is: I started going to an exercise class that is pushing me more than I would do myself at home.

I know I should scroll back and try to say "hey" to everyone else, but my eyes are not wanting to stay open much longer. I'll pop back in later and catch up, okay?!

I'm a Residential Care Aide, I look after elderly people who live in Long Term Care, every Christmas the families of our residents tend to show their appreciation of their loved ones care with chocolates emoticon The first of which showed up last night emoticon I ate 8 of them emoticon I need a plan! I have a plan I will limit myself to two if they are really good chocolates! If they are the crappy 10 pounds for a buck stuff I will avoid it. emoticon wish me luck...lol

Workout completed this evening. Off to bed for a good nights sleep!

Almost finished with my room. Just need to put up sconces. Finally got my picture back from Michael's and let's just say they screwed it up. Dang picture was upside down in the frame! But I had Victor take it back and they fixed it right there and took off $50. I'll never go to that Michael's for framing again. The customer service wasn't all that great either. I'll have to remember where I went and got my first picture framed. They were much more professional.

Christine - I love those tear jerkers!!! I be ballin like a big old baby! lol

So today I decided to do the clean challenge which is still based on the diet here. I'm so sick of not eating good food that I crave the healthy stuff! lol So for the next two weeks I'll be on a clean eating spree!!! I'm doing it next week too because I'm with another group on Facebook and they are doing it. I been feeling like a slug lately so I want to clean it up for a bit. I know Christmas is coming up and I'm not crazy, I'm sure I'll be eating some goodies but I'm back at it afterwards.

I'll be back at my workouts this evening.

hello everyone

I am still trying to get all the not healthy food out of the house !! I did my leslie Sansone DVD and now I need to do some mopping and vacuuming ! Hubby drove his vehicle in garage covered in sleet and snow and you guessed it....... TONS OF SOAKING water now everywhere in the garage..... what a mess !! NOT to be ugly but I shall let him sweep it all out since the dirt on floors has made a nice paste of mud and sludge to be tracked into house everytime a cat goes out to the garage to littler box. YUCK !!!! Yes she also jumped on top of my vehicle and tracked muddy paw prints all over mine ..... YUM !!

I still have not done my wrapping ...... bad bad bad..... I have been lazy....... I did watch some yummy hallmark tear jerk movies !! I love xmas movies and yes it drives the hubs crazy !

I plan to stay on TSD all day today ..... I will report back here tomorrow to be accountable !

Christine your weather sounds hideous how nice you don't have to go out in it.
We are still experiencing deep freeze weather -23C (-10 F) It's beautiful and sunny but oh so cold.
Cardio has never been a problem for me as I have two dogs that MUST be walked they are the best motivators ever If I miss more than one day of walking something bad happens, usually something inappropriate gets eaten, (one of my dogs is still quite young)but over the past couple of years I have really struggled with getting a strength training routine going so this month I decided to try something different and do 10 minutes a day which works out to 3 exercises 3 sets and up to 15 reps and (touch wood) it seems to be working I sorted my I hour plan into to minute chunks grouped by body parts and just do it. The downside something hurts everyday...lol

hey everyone I hope everyone is hanging on......

I exercised for the first time in over 4 days and it felt really good !! I just took some lazy days off and I am ready to get back into it !
They have issued a storm warning for our area and the town and everyone is going nuts to the store and people cancelling tops meeting s and NOW IT has been 3 weeks since I could weigh and this is NEVER good !!
They are predicting ice for us and power outages so if I am not on here that will be why. I don't think the temperatures are going up over freezing for almost a week !! ouch !! soups here I come !

Susy- I am jealous of you soaking up the warm weather!!

Good news is the TG food is all gone so now back to getting on track again !

hey everyone

This has been a super hectic week for me and I"ve been running crazy !! Lots going on and I've not started my wrapping yet either ! I actually went 3 days with NO exercise and have not done that since my 2 week vacation in JULY !!! not happy and likewise my eating has been erratic also !! I feel bad and dont like feeling this way so that is a NSV too !!
They are predicting terrible ice storms and very cold temps here below freezing all weekend !
so everyone is making a mad dash run to store for FOOD !! LOL.... I am sick of eating already....... did I just say that ?????

My thinking is changing so I will be next too I hope !

Christine I've missed you too!!! and I'm happy to be back the Simple diet really does work for when I can stay on track. I've given myself a December challenge to lose seven pounds I really struggle every time I hit the thirty pound loss mark so I want to get out of the 170's and leave it behind for good! emoticon

Mmmm dressing, in Canada, Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October so we get our two turkey days a little farther apart but this year with Hubby away at work and me working as well it was a non event so I'm more then ready for a little dressing!
I'm not sure what state AL is...Alabama? it sounds lovely and warm, we are just heading into our first cold snap -17 C is the forecast for tonight. emoticon

so glad you arrived safe in AL !! sounds like there are lots of people there ! Awesome ! today its supposed to get up to almost 55 degrees so I will try to walk outside for the first time in over a week ! I have truly missed it !! I still have some leftover TG food here in the house and I am going to have to get rid of it to start afresh again ! LOL !! I love dressing and this is really the only time of year that I get it !

Hi Christine!

Great job on the new thread! Love the topic title: Chatter Box!

DH and I arrived in Gulf Shores, AL yesterday afternoon. We were assigned an RV spot, but plan to move to another site later this afternoon so we'll be next to some friends of ours.

I already went this morning to the exercise class that's held three days per week here in the park. It's not really my cup of tea, so I may not continue. I actually have a number of fitness dvds that I -do- like... I just need to get them out and DO them! LOL

The other neat thing about this RV park is that people are always out walking! But you're not going to get in any fitness walking because everyone likes to stop and VISIT! LOL

Okay, I've got errands to run, so I'll check in again later!
