Hi I just joined the Challenge today! I opened my SparkPeople Account years ago and never fully utilized it, so I'm starting fresh as of yesterday. My goal is to lose 50 pounds so that I can be in a healthy weight/BMI range. Looking forward to the challenge!

I just joined this challenge today. Here is to a healthier new year. Posting to message boards is really outside my comfort level so I have don't do it very often. When I started an exercise or diet program before I always kept it to myself and the lack of accountability let me "off the hook" to easily. This time I am putting myself out there in a real effort to be successful.

Hi I am new on here and have 30lbs to lose and I have to do it in 7months so it is all systems go for me. I need to do it in that time because I am going to be a mother of the bride in September and that would give me time to get an outfit.

I also believe the message boards and the blogs help us to be more accountable to what we want to do. It is one thing to think about it and keep it to yourself because then if you don't do it no one knows. But once you put it out there for others, you are accountable for it and things just change. It is not as easy to not follow through. You feel responsible for your actions and to me that is a great thing! Keep posting! emoticon
