I've lost 15 pounds since I started, but dealing with so much pain slows my ability for exercise. I'm going to try and push harder this week and hopefully it will pay off. emoticon

Just under 50lbs so far...I have peeked and I will be over 50lbs gone by my Monday weigh-in:) I think what's made the biggest change for me is that I've sworn off my traditional "fat snacks"...ditched the 100 calorie packs, fiber one products, granola bars, etc and have been eating real food mostly. Hungry after dinner, cottage cheese, maybe some carrots w/ tzatziki sauce, even cauliflower and cheese sauce. I found that in the past I've worked them in to my program to the expense of other healthy foods and wasn't really getting in all the nutrients I should have been eating. I have also embraced cooking...I'm a Pinterest addict...I have an extensive recipe board and generally the night before I look to see what I'm going to make for the following day. I love all the new foods I've tried...I'm loving greek, indian, asian and thai foods...things that I've never made before and now I've made some great light versions of high calorie favorites.

I got a late start exercising...I was laid up for almost two months when I started w/ a nerve problem in my leg. Now that is gone and for the past 3 weeks I've been easing into a walking routine. I've already noticed a lot of changes, most importantly I'm happier and healthier:)

Down 12

I was way ahead of schedule there in the beginning but only lost 2.5 pounds the entire month of April. I'm doing the spring bootcamp just to mix thigs up a bit.

My coworker I got to join lost 3.6 pounds her first WEEK. I threw things at her - literally, they shouldn't give us stress balls. Perhaps that wasn't what they intented for us to do with them but after nailing her with 4 out of 5 balls, I have to say I did feel less stress.

Hey her having to dodge stuff flying through the air was good exercise for her.

I'm down 10 (I gained back 2) ... not where I want to be, but I am seeing changes in my body so that's definitely helping! Jeans I bought because they skimmed are now too baggy. I just wish that could translate to my midsection, lol.

I went out of town as well, and that was bad news because no one wants to waste an expensed meal. I ate very badly for a week. So I guess I'm just grateful that didn't completely derail me!

Got into a routine with fitness, which really helps. The others in the water aerobics class at my gym are really nice so I feel more obliged to go and not skip it.

I've lost 12 pounds as of this morning. The first four weeks I lost about 1.5 pounds each week. Some weeks since then I have stayed the same, gained a little, or lost a little. To my surprise this morning, I'd lost two pounds this week. Tracking food and exercise has helped me the most. I'm feeling better and more fit than I did two months ago.

I'm feeling great! With 28 pounds down, I'm a little ahead of my goal schedule...though I do realize I will hit a plateau sooner or later. I have even gotten co-workers interested in the program. I'm so surprised how much food I can eat with a healthy diet! Most nights I even find myself scrambling to fit more food into my day just so I can get my minimum daily calories in...

Dear God,
My Prayer for 2012 is for a fat wallet and a thin body.
Please don't mix them up like last year.
Amen.

This past week has been a struggle in terms of being careful about food choices as I have been out of town. It sounds like people are all over the map in terms of meeting their goals and bumping up against challenges. I am glad to hear from everyone...it helps it feel possible for me to have continued weight loss when I hear about your success-- and it keeps my attitude in perspective when I hear about your challenges. Everyone has challenges! It sure helps me when I hear from you. emoticon

wahoo, good to hear about the awesome results!
Snowshine, i'm with you about doing well for the first month and a half.
Unfortunately, I don't have any reason as to why I didn't stick with it other than lack of motivation.
I take zumba classes at a community centre, and as soon as there was a break between the winter and spring session, my workout habits pretty much became sporadic to non existent.

I found that when I track my exercise minutes, I tend to workout more consistently.
I just joined a gym with a 1 month trial that offers flexibility with their hours and group classes - so I'm hoping that this will help keep me motivated enough to workout consistently. Let the exercise minute tracking begin! (again :p)

I am very happy to have started Sparkpeople. I don't check in with all the teams every day, but I do track what I am eating everyday.

My official weigh-in is tomorrow, but as of last week I had lost thirteen pounds. I'm not doing much exercise besides walking, so I am very happy with these results. I feel a whole better even though I have a long way to go.

I think daily tracking of what I eat has been the one thing that has helped me most. How about you? What is working for you?
