SP has all the tools and features to help you become healthier and more fit, but it will require patience and commitment on your part. The changes you make make should be reasonable, doable and sustainable for the long run. This is not a quick fix - you want the results you get to be permanent ones!

"Moving More & Eating Less" works! It sounds like you've started a good walking program. Consider adding some strengthening exercises 3x a week. SP has a great selection which require little or no equipment that can be done at home. You can check them out here www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercis

Hello back everyone and thank you for the welcome messages! Sounds like there are lots of us very close to each other. It is very nice to know that I am not the only one struggling with weight loss and even though you would think the weight would fly off with 3 children it doesn't and it almost does the opposite. Our families always come before and I think now its time for us to take the time that we need to make us healthier and happier. I just started walking / jogging and am doing pretty well so far, my friend and I walk about 3-4 miles 4-6 times a week. Sadly, there isn't much movement in the scales. I'm hoping that within the next few weeks to come there will be some sort of changes so that I don't lose all of my motivation.
What are some of the ways the rest of you all are staying on track?

Hi Lee,

It sounds like you and I are very similar. I'm 39 yrs old and also live in Ontario (Toronto). My youngest is also 2 yrs old and I just can't seem to lose the last of the baby weight! I've just joined this site and am hoping that it'll help me lose that dreaded "muffin-top"! lol

Hi Lee,
I live in Georgetown, so not very far away from you. I joined this site awhile ago but have not done very much with it. This week i have decided to get back with it again!! I have three boys 14, 8 and 7. I have been struggling since the 7 year old was born to try to lose but just cant get it together. I feel like i am so busy with them all the time there is no me time left. I joined a fitness boot camp this week so i am hoping this has kick started me although it is 2 days later and i am just starting to feel my legs again!
I am also looking for someone to help me stay motivated!

Hi Everyone, I am a 37 year old Mom of 3 that lives in Guelph, Ontario. My youngest is now 2 and I have been trying to lose that extra for about 1 yr now. Any great advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Looks like a great group of friendly people and I look forward to hearing from some of you.
