Me too Kathy and that's what I'll be doing. It will help us to evaluate our progress, determine where we need to alter a bit, increase/decrease etc. I'm excited and ready to work.
This morning I'm cooking, cleaning and I set my kettlebell on the coffee table so when I walk by, I can grab it and use it!
Have a blessed day everyone!
Love and hugs~
Bren

It's been a great experience. I've been a part of the challenge for 30 days, and no regrets! I'm going to blog later about the challenge and plans for the New Year. I love the positive atmosphere here....it was super-motivating. Hope to join another challenge in the near future!!!!

Congrats, Joyful on joining WW!

I love the goals. Practicing most of them except getting to bed at decent time. I joined the Spark sleep challenge but my second week I haven't been focused on it (holidays, I guess). Going to focus on this NOW and for the New Year.

I've been mainly positive, but I binged on pizza last night. It was a splurge, but I took it beyond a splurge and continued to eat though I was full. I learned that pizza (at least the kind from big name pizza chains) is one of my "trigger" or "red light" foods. I can't stop at one slice. I stayed well within my calorie range today and ate healthier assortment of foods. I plan to make a healthy pizza next time I crave it. That way I can control the ingredients and I don't think I will react the same to the fat- and sodium-laden slices I indulged in last night.

Today I just wanted to give up and eat out at a fast food joint today b/c of my slip-up, but I didn't. My hubby is keeping me strong, too. He's been very encouraging and also doesn't want me to beat myself up. I am thankful for the positive, supportive people God has put in my life.

Here's to a healthy New Year!!!!

Number 7 I like and could use in my diabetes plan...number 20...go to bed hungry? emoticon Yikes...I might could, willingly do 3 of those "skinny" rules, max! Water...I like your list Joyful!
Oh I love Amazon.com. I do that too, and tho I pay shipping, with such low prices it's still a bargain! I got books as part of my Christmas gift to me...from me!

I was thinking of Simple Pleasures yesterday...as in 3 a day.
1~Spiritual
2~Physical
3~Other

As in...good coffee, a clean home, Blessing others...EXERCISE on purpose! I admit I am a slug most days to the detriment of my poor body. I am ready to make positive moves towards better health, strength and stability...

I like the "Monthly" challenge idea...That's specific, like our Christmas challenge and lines up with the short term goals to work on. Keeping it simple. I can do simple! emoticon

Has anyone ever thought of a monthly challenge? Its simple....just set your goals for the month and try to accomplish that goal before the end of the month. Then repeat the monthly challenge again the next month, with a new goal or a continuation of the same goal....let's say for the month of January my goal will be to lose at least 10 pounds. Hopefully I will be successful at it and will repeat the same goal in Feburary...to lose another 10 pounds.
Do anyone like this idea?

I have decluttering on my To Do list as well...I will aim for at least 30 minutes a day on work days, and more...hooya...on my off days. I'll be working New Year's eve, then be off the 1st and 2nd....
I love free space, and you got yours done while sick! What a great idea and accomplishment when down time looms. I hope you are feeling so much better...

I'll need/want a new challenge to see me thru winter into wonderful spring...

Be blessed, all...

I pray you are fully recovered quickly! What a miserable way to spend vacation time...

I've spent a vacation week sick before too and the only saving grace was the fact I live alone and can hide. I did an 11 PM Wal-Mart run the last time I got so sick...after uhm...fibbing about getting a flu shot. (I don't do needles?) All the eay to Wal-Mart I said...I can't have the flu, I can't have the flu. I now know that folks DO get it, even with the shot!

My care package includes soft blankee, Teddy bear, chicken soup, juice, honey and lemon, hot tea...Get as much rest as you can and be gentle with yourself! emoticon

Jeepers! Where have I been? I'm feeling much better since my accident. I'm off my pain meds, just taking ibuprofen now.

Goal Update:
SW: 176.2
CW: 167.8
GW: 161.2

The exercise has been more limited in the weeks since the car wreck, so I won't trouble myself about the fact that my STing and Cardio have been less. That I've been doing it at all is a blessing. I am getting back to it little by little.
Tracking my food has been mostly good. I've done most days. Again, thrown a bit after the accident, but better now.

I won't be reaching my goal of losing 15 lbs, but feel good about losing weight during the Thanksgiving & Christmas seasons. Otherwise, this challenge has really helped me stay more mindful and on track than I normally would have been. Thanks to you all!

I like that YEsterday was yesterday~today is today! My background right now to my spark page says I may not be there yet, but I am closer than I was yesterday! I love it. If we keep on keepin on we will get closer and closer and be beter than we were yesterday. If we mess up 1 day, look at it as a speed bump, do we stop for speed bumps? NO we slow down, go across them then accelerate again!. Yes some speed bumps are bigger than others, but still when we get across we accelerate not stop.

So knock that s emoticon down and put on our lead feet and lets end this challenge with mighty forces. Yea!

Katrmoss, I hope you will have a better day today. We have only 16 days left in our 72 day challenge. Thankfully, yesterday was a good day. But yesterday is gone...now I have to do the right things for myself again on THIS DAY.

I know the feeling carol....I have let myself down all wk long. I am here to acknowlege my wrong doings and get back up and lose for this upcoming wks weigh in...I weigh in on Thursdays. and this thursday I gained 2 lbs...ugggh..so not motivating. but I lost sight this past wk. ate a little more junk, didn't track as precisely, didn't drink all my water, and didn't get all my exercise in....so that left me with a 2 lb gain.

So my new goal for this (16/17 days left~however many) challenge is...
~ absolutely no fast food. (Only ate ffood 2ce since like oct. or something.)
~ Exercise daily even if its 10 min/day.
~no fried foods (only have had fried food 1ce since OCt.)
~track precisely
~get all my water in/day
~increase veggies.

I went to another Christmas party last night. I let my friend talk me into eating the baby back ribs. I seldom ever eat any meat other than chicken or fish. So I splurged a little...but now I feel that I let myself down because I didn't stick to my plan to eat the chicken.

Ended up not working today. I was just way worn out once mid-afternoon hit yesterday and I knew I needed to take it easy today. It was hard to admit, but for the best.
Feeling fine today, but shoulda taken a better rest today instead of such short spurts.

Had a bad night last night. Won't go into details but it was a pretty bad binge. Thank God that today is a brand new day, and I've been given another chance. emoticon

Glad you are all doing well. emoticon

Hope you feel better after that car wreck! Take things slow and easy!

Joyful~so happy to hear you had a loss on the scales. emoticon

I hit a speed bump that started this past wkend and lead into this wk as well...I haven't exercised as planned, kept a precise tracking journal, or got all my water in and tomorrow is my last (8wk) weigh in for the diabetes challenge and I don't feel I have made a loss this wk. Last wk though I done Very WELL on the veggie and fruit fast. So that was a plus. I just need to emoticon and get back on track so I can fulfill my next challenging goal of reaching 199 by the new yr. Its coming so quickly! emoticon

So far so good back at work, praise God.

Watching the food again and trying to get more water. The pain meds are not making me too foggy, so another thaks to the Good Lord for that. I will certainly rest tonight as I'm s'posed to work tomorrow too.

Just a check-in to let you all know I was in a pretty serious car accident last Thursday morning on the way to the gym. I've been feeling okay with using my pain meds, but today I had to run the kids to appointments and stuff so i tried to go without the meds...also a test run for going back to work tomorrow. HUGE MISTAKE!! I felt awful almost all day.
I will still try going to work tomorrow but it will be a challenge for sure. My food intake was bad over the weekend and Monday and exercise has been very minimal as there's little they want me to do with my fractures being in my vertebra and rib. Doc told me 6 weeks off my regular exercise, but as of Thursday I'm going to sub in walking for running and light weights for regular weights and hope I don't lose too much ground.
Feel a little frustrated that I can't do my normal stuff since I was really happy with my progress, but overall VERY thankful that God spared me from much worse injuries.
