I've been working out on my treadmill. Yesterday I got 40 min walked at 3.5 mi/hr and today I did 30 minutes w/ 20 minutes being intervals. I would also like to be able to move my treadmill in the family room downstairs so I have a TV to watch so I don't get so bored. Maybe I would do more minutes/day then. I know I will need to burn more calories and one workout/day on treadmill is not enough.

Finally got the elliptical trainer out of the basement where it was acting as a clothes hanger and moved it up to the bedroom in front of the TV. Now instead of just loafing around watching the tube & getting fatter, I'm burning some calories while being entertained! Oh, and since my stamina is not quite there yet and since I have 2 little girls who constantly interrupt me, I'm doing two 15 minute sessions during the day. It's nice to break it up into manageable chunks.

I'm also going to the gym for my cardio most of the time. The trail I like to walk on isn't dry enough yet and won't be for a few more weeks, but I'll keep checking it. We keep having a lot of rain, so it might be a while.

Pretty soon, I'll be mowing the lawn with my push mower and I like a workout DVD that keeps me moving and sweating. I also have a Wii workout that's pretty good, but heading to the gym right after work insures that I'll get a good cardio workout.

I do at least 20 minutes with Leslie Sansone, hopefully boosting it up to 40 minutes on a good day. She's fantastic for those of us who have very little space and no coordination, and who have some mobility issues.

I will be using TurboFire for my cardio. I also will be walking outside or on the treadmill depending on the weather. I just bought Just Dance 2 for the Wii, so I might throw that in there too :)

I use my recumbent bike, mowing the grass and the Kinect, which I have Zumba, Adventures and Sports for. I have found that the Kinect really gets my heart rate up there and it is a fun game I can play with my Husband. I no longer use my Wii at all because I could "cheat" with it and not be as physical with that, with the Kinect I can't do that.

Right now the only cardio I can do is at the gym (bikes and treadmills) Once the swimming pool is open I can do some swimming or when it gets warm on the weekends I can take a walk.

"Does pulling up carpet count as cardio and if it does what the heck should you log it as in order to track it in the fitness tracker?"

Just go browsing in the fitness tracker's categories until you find an activity that seems to be comparable, and use that. I have tracked a lot of "farm labor, general" in the past, which I've used to cover stacking hay bales, raking, cleaning stalls, carrying 50 lb. feed bags, and fence repair. Use your own judgement, and try to be fair. If you are getting out of breath, it is cardio!

My cardio so far has been:

May 1 = 2 runs in the park, totaling 5 miles, plus walking around the city with family
May 2 = Turbo Sculpt with 4lb weights (in lieu of a Spark toning video)

I usually alternate Turbos with running, depending on the weather and the time of day. I particularly like Turbo Jam Fat Blaster, the circuits are awesome! Turbo Sculpt is good for a "day off" since it gives me light cardio mixed with toning. I'm hoping this month, with this Bootcamp getting started, that I'll be more rigorous about my workouts than I've been in past months!

Fives days a week (Mon-Fri), Crunch Cardio Boot Camp on netflix 40 mins a day.
Mon. Weds. Fri. strength training on top of the 40 min cardio.
On top of that, I intend to do alot of HEAVY gardening. Just moved into a new home with a huge lot so I got alot of weeding and cleaning out of plants to accomplish this month. On top of tilling the ground so I can start up my veggie patch.

On weekends (If it ever gets warm in Pennsylvania anytime soon), I'd love to go hiking and take walks on the beach too!

Got alot of stuff ahead of me, but I'm ready and already feel great!
Day 2 of the challenge and I already see a bit of change in my attitude for the better!!!

I would call pulling up carpet under "heavy cleaning." If I pull up carpet I know I'll end up huffing and puffing pretty good.

Today I manged 3 minutes on the stair master at the gym before my right leg just about gave out, 2 minutes on the treadmill at 1.5-2.5 mph before my legs started feeling like jelly and 5 minutes on a recumbent bike. After that I hit my limit and was limping back to the changing rooms.

After I recover and return from a dr's appointment this afternoon, I'm going to log 10-15 minutes in with walk it out on my wii.

I'm bound and determined to stick with this.

Does pulling up carpet count as cardio and if it does what the heck should you log it as in order to track it in the fitness tracker?

Once we are done pulling carpet it will be done with Just Dance 1 or 2 and My Fitness Coach.
