Could someone send me the plan, anything you may have such as levels, plan, anything!!I did this program in early 90s and I lost 40lbs. They had the best protein bar called honey nougat, I wonder if it’s out under a diff name now. Thanks in advance and anything would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. My mom did FormU 3 back in the late 80's and was able to lose a good amount of weight on it. I did the plan with her, just for moral support and liked it. Add a "few" years, two kids, and 4 surgeries, and I need to lose some weight. The thought of this plan crossed my mind and after doing some searching, found this group.

I lost nearly 100 lbs on this in the late 80s. Now i need to do it again. Sorry to hear you are in the hospital and hope you are doing better.

I just found this website and would love if you or someone else could send me the Formu3 meltdown as well as the other levels. I was on this diet back in the early 90's and lost 80 pounds, Sadly, I have gained it back but no longer have my pamphlets. It was easy to follow and I really need to do something about my weight. This plan was the only one that really worked for me. Thanks and feel better soon.

Thank you so much!! I saw the dr the other day and she mentioned I gained 14 pounds in 3 months and asked me what I was eating..I told her apparently everything in sight...she failed to see the humor in my response... so my goal is to be down 14plys pounds when I see her in 4 months..

I dont have a background in nutrition but I do know that protein is supposed to keep you fuller longer. Watch for ones with your nutrients in them. With cutting back it makes it a special challenge to keep things that our bodies need. Being diabetic I am having a bit of trouble but hopefully you will do well. Here are some notes that I had made back when I had first come across my information deep, very deep in a box. LOL Hope this help you!! I think for the meal replacement drinks I will use a yogurt based drink or something with additional protein. For the puddings and Jell-O, I will use the sf versions. I know that for some this wouldnt work but I dont drink diet drinks so the amount that I would consume in a day would be minimal. Also at this point the extra weight is doing me more harm than the addition of artificial sweeteners would. They mention chicken, beef or tomato soup. So, I will do broth and the low sodium v-8 (which they mention in my info). For the oatmeal supplement I will do my Oatmeal Cookie in a Bowl recipe. At 120 calories, it should be ok.

I would suggest skipping the "sugar free" stuff and go for low calorie choices like berries, grapes, watermelon, bananas, oatmeal, apples with a little peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, walnuts/almonds, etc. Don't avoid fat either, there is a lot of chemistry that goes on in your body. And don't skimp on calories.

I have eliminated all artificial sweeteners from my diet because I think they do more harm than good, look it up on the internet:

I haven't counted any calories since I re-started loosely following FormYou3 and have already lost 15 lbs. by just adjusting portions to comply with the diet and cook normally, mostly recipes from Cooking Light. The biggest change I have made is actually eating 3 meals a day. I used to skip breakfast & lunch and by the time dinner came around, I could eat a horse. Of course, every calorie I ate was stored because my metabolism was so slow. I think I have a lot more will power than most, and I have made a conscious effort to think about this episode of weight loss as a lifestyle change rather than a "diet." Diets are temporary, I'm not going through this again!

Hello, I was also wondering about snacks for this diet. I am eating sugar free pudding, its 60 calories about once a day. I was hoping someone would reply to your question. When I did the diet back in 1991 I never used their snacks and made my own sugar free pudding and I had good results.

64 oz of water a day
Much better results if no soda, if you have to have it, Diet Rite was the only one we recommended
Constipation was a problem, a cup filled of warm lemon water helped

I worked then owned a Nutribolic/Formu3 franchise for 10 years. I can give you the time frame for the levels if you need it.
Melt Down was 4 days then went to 7
Level I was 1 weeks also
Level 2 depended on the amount of weight to lose. Less than 10lbs 1 week
10-20 2 weeks
21-30 3 weeks
31+ 4 weeks
Level 3 until no lose for 7 days if no deviation, then we would break plateaus by going back to melt down and starting over.
Caffeine is a huge no no

We also found clients had better results by using real butter, sour cream, etc

Thank you jkeeney3. That is what I could ascertain as well. It appears Form You 3 is owned by the Health Management Group. HMG's website still shows the franchise and I found a presence of Form You 3 on Facebook in Dover OH that appears to be active, possibly a few in PA. It seems more franchise owners are going with the Physicians Weight Loss Centers in VA, but I wanted a program that did not require a lot of products to buy, injections, and high program fees. Thanks for backing me up.

I'm on day 4 of the Melt Down.

I know the Melt Down duration is one week, does anyone know when to move from Level 1 to Level 2 & beyond?

The Vegetable Choices for the Melt Down program are:

Asparagus, Broccoli, Cabbage, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Cucumbers, Green Beans, Lettuce, Mushrooms, Onions, Peppers, Spinach, Snow Peas, Tomatoes, Yellow Squash, Zucchini.

I have all the materials I used when I did this program in the 90s. It worked for me and I am just starting it again myself. It's relatively easy to follow and I'm going to try to incorporate using services like Blue Apron & Hello Fresh to change things up a bit. I got bored with it the last time but it worked! I lost 60lbs. in about 6 months and need to do it all again :-(

I did this back in the late 80's and lost about 80 lbs. Over the years I've gained back about 25. I'm going to dig mine out tonight.

This is just what I needed to get back on track!

I just found this post. Then again, I've been gone for years! Form U 3 was *the* only diet plan that ever worked for me. The only thing I can remember is that it basically followed the Food Pyramid, the smallest of each serving -- so, if it's 3-5 servings, they said 3 servings. They also had loads of sugar-free packets of various items you could purchase, and came up with delicious recipes for sugar-free punches. This was before the days of all these packets they have now, except you *could* get sugar-free hot chocolate back then.
I would LOVE to find the original, main part of their diet again. Even if I use it to lose half of my goal weight loss, so I can really take exercise to the next level, I would very much like to.

i also did the form you 3 program back in the 90's. I have most of my information still and want to start this again! we need to start a group. I am new and not sure how to start a team, but I will look into it. please look me up.

I actually found my moms old formu-3 papers today! The meltdown paper reads as followed:
Days 1&3: breakfast ...1/2 cup skim milk, 6oz low sodium V-8, tomato juice, or 1/2 grapefruit... 1/2 cup grapes, strawberries, or peaches.. Decaffeinated/sugar free/sodium free beverages. Plus one of the following: 1 cup puffed or shredded wheat, 1 cup puffed rice, 1 rice cake, or 1 cup puffed corn cereal (kix)

Days 2&4: breakfast...2 eggs (poached, boiled, scrambled, or fried)...2 strips thin sliced crisp bacon..1 slice high fiber, low calorie wheat bread or 1/2 whole wheat pita bread...1/2 cup unsweetened grapefruit juice...1/4 canteloupe, 1/2 cup pineapple, or 1 small apple.. Beverage

Days 1-4: Lunch...4oz seafood, poultry, or veal...1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese or 1/2 cup skim milk..1 slice high fiber low calorie wheat bread or 1/2 whole wheat pita bread...salad with low calorie dressing (16 calories or les per Tbsp)...unlimited veggies...beverage

Days 1-4: dinner ..6oz seafood,poultry, veal, lean beef or pork...1 med. baked potato or 1/2 cup cooked rice...1 slice wheat bread...salad w/ low calories dressing ..unlimited veggies.. 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese or 1/2 cup skim milk or 2 oz low fat cheese.. Beverage

Snacks: it mentions the formu-fast foods but I was told to eat a tablespoon of peanutbutter and gram crackers or veggies

I did the Form U 3 diet program in the 90's and I lost around 40 lbs. I would love to do it again but I've since thrown the information away. Could you email me the diet and I would like to try it again.

Hi all and welcome. I Started this team to help me and others while doing the diet program from the Form You 3 center. This was a diet that was out back in the late "80's" early to mid "90's". It really worked for me and so i have decided to do it again. I do have the diet if anyone would like to check it out, but what ever diet you are doing this team is here to help you out.
