For me It was two days of bad eating, Saturday and Sunday and I undid everything it took two weeks to do. I gained 5 pounds back-I know it's water retention mostly but I am so disgusted with myself for having fallen off the wagon yet again.

I don't like to whine and I am sorry. I am back on track this morning. Have a good day everyone.

I haven't been doing this long enough to know about the "it takes two days". Thanks for the warning! My kids were home today and very disappointed there were no brownies or cupcakes in the house. They will get used to it.

@kathymag... you are so right. i realized the two day thing while i was yo yoing all over the place. for me sodium causes an immediate gain... but extra healthy starches etc... two days. i did not know that (and of course when i realized it, i thought I was unique and weird- until just now when i saw this post.)

thanks.

@bythegrace.... and yes also to the problem of letting the trigger foods in.

Waste or waist...eliminate the temptation is a win for me everytime. It's that mind/tummy thing again...one bite is never enough for some...let it in and irrational rationale takes over...

We don't always want to acknowledge it but soooo true! That was why the brownies were such a downfall for me Tuesday---I tasted them and then I had 2 a day for the next 2 days! There are still two in there but I am not touching them! emoticon

So true, Kathy! One step further, for some the two bites may not show up, but what that leads to subsequently may not be worth it! Your mother's warning to "think before you act" should be invoked here...are you sure the consequences are worth the delight?

Be strong...carry on one day at a time...

Hi Kathymag,

Thank you for that little reminder. I don't usually go beyond the two bite rule, but I am trying hard to stick to the no indulgences rule as I get thru cycle 1 and then 2.

.......Just a reminder, everyone -

That those 'little indiscretions' don't show up on the scale for two days.......

Sooooooooo - a bagel here, a piece of pie there? Next morning your weight is the same? Don't breath a sigh of 'I got away with it' yet. One more morning, guaranteed - the scale will let you know it sees your bagel or piece of pie after all!!

Better just not to indulge in the first place - especially thru Cycles 1 & 2.
