Donna ditto to what everyone else said. Did you read the "tips" topic? It could get worse before it gets better, but one day you're going to wake up and feel great (as long as you don't have another diet coke!).

Thank y'all so much! I keep forgetting that I can eat between meals and not just my 2 yogurts and 2 fruits.

And I just had one of those wonderful turkey burgers for lunch (recipes in the Cylcle 1 Recipe area) and now I am stuffed.

Really appreciate all of your support
Donna

Try to find grab n go proteins and veggies that will satisfy both your need to munch/eat and also any hunger pangs. Egg whites are unlimited, so I usually boil up 8 - 10 eggs each morning, and slice them up w/ a little salt and pepper - when I get hungry. Turkey breast and baby carrots are also good. It takes a very long time to eat a whole bag of baby carrots. If you make yourself do that before reaching for something that is a no-no, it might help...

I can say that it does get better. Hunger was not my main problem. Wanting what I eat is. I am working on trying different food recipes. But I would not be true to myself it I did not tell you that the title had me rolling. Because I have been there!

I am so sorry, you are so hungry....that is really strange, maybe you just didn't eat enough protein and the diet coke could be the reason too. I haven't had a diet coke in about 95 days now and I was a diet coke addict. I would have about 4 of the 715ml of coke a day....couldn't get enough of the stuff and I would munch away the whole time I was drinking it too. Cycle 1 is to detox your body and drinking diet coke, you are putting chemicals into your body that triggers your hunger...so you are detoxing and then adding to the toxins that are already there.
Try going cold turkey on the Diet Coke....it may be hard, but you will win in the end.

I started the diet when I had 3 days off work so hunger wasn't a problem because I could eat when I wanted to. On day 4 I went back to work and that's when I found I would hit times of hunger because of the odd hours I work. So I plan my days meals and snacks accordingly. I find spreading things out into 6 small meals/snacks during work days works best for me because I have to eat at odd times. I keep some yogurt smoothies in the fridge at work and bring some fruit with me. I start teaching a class at 2 p.m. twice a week so I have a yogurt smoothie and a piece of fruit before I start and this seems to hold me over until I can take my next break...getting that last bit of fruit in before 2. I also keep some chopped vegies ready in case hunger does strike in between breaks.

Hang in there girl! I found a bit of yogurt or other lean protein really helped when I felt a bit hungry. Also a hot drink - I usually had a cup of green tea or a coffee with low fat milk really seems to help when I feel 'snackish'.

The diet coke spells disaster...stay away from it.

Yes - it does get better. But you shouldn't be hungry. You can eat all the lean protein and cleansing veggies you want. two fruits and two probiotics, water, green tea...it really works to fight the hunger.

Part of it is the detox you are going through. Make sure it's hunger and not cravings - there's a difference. One way I could tell was if I ate something and still wanted more, it was a craving. Usually because it's for something not allowed in the 1st cycle. Now is a good time to re-read parts of the book...to remind yourself what you can and cannot have and why. Also to remind yourself of what to expect during the 1st cycle.

We all have gone through issues with the first cycle...to varying degrees...but usually, hunger was never one of them. Most of us haven't been able to eat enough by day 7.

Hang in there...and remember the 1st 4 or 5 days are the most difficult. You can do anything for 17 days.

Help, I am so hungry today!! The first two days were great but this morning I could eat an entire bagel shop. My eyeballs are floating after all the water I have been drinking...

I did have a diet coke this AM (the 1st one after four days) but this is the only change from the other days..

It gets better, right?
Thanks everyone!
