Weeelll - not quite what I hope for - 9.5 pounds and I am NOT under 120 kgs as I was shooting for.

BUT - I have not consistently been around this lighter weight for a bout 3 years so thats a definite win - onto the next challenge!

So excited! weighed myself this morning - after 30th party bash to end all bashes - nights at the papa john pizza drive ins, etc.... I resisted weighing myself everyother day - and when I hopped on this morning - I had lost another two lbs! Im at 9lbs for the month!! But not a tap of exercise done - bad me! :(

Hungry and at the local shop to buy a few things (yes I know the devil lurks in your hunger if you go food shopping:), wandered around a grabbed a few things for a beef stroganoff (my weekend treat for lunch) and spied some Salt and Cracked Pepper Kettle Chips - if there is a snack food I have a weakness for its them. Picked up the 150 gm packet, put it down, walked away, went back, read the back (hmmm - I could just fit that into my calorie and fat range if I had soup for dinner and these for lunch), put it down, walked back again - calculated I would gain probably a kilo by tomorrow as this would put me in a carb frenzy and I would eat EVERYTHING in sight and then remembered our challenge for January, put it down and walked away...veeeeery slowly I will admit.

So Peggie - thanks for starting the challenge - it has saved me about 2 kilos of effort and a waste of 3 or 4 days of weight loss effort already!

Woohoo sounds fun! I want to lose 10 pounds but as I get closer to my goal weight it is not coming off as fast. I am losing about 1 pound/week now. :) I want to speed it up but seems slower now...

Since Jan 1 I have lost so far....2 pounds. Well almost 3 because on Dec 30 I was 136...and now I am 134... so 3 pounds since second last day of Dec :) Happy with that!!

You guys keep up the great work! At the beginning I was losing about 10 pounds a week so it is totally do-able!!

You are well on your way to reaching this goal for the month! Keep it going!

I WAS doing pretty well, until tonight! I've been working on my resume all day and looking at job postings, and it seems to have triggered some wierd stress eating! Let's hope I can get back on track tomorrow!!

Have lost around 6 lbs to today and my goal is to get under 120 k's which will just tip me over the 10 lbs - hows everyone else faring ?

Lo and behold - this morning I was down again - so Im back down to 202 from 209! A 7 lb loss since January 2nd! Im obviously pretty chuffed with myself but dont want to lose momentum!

Dubaigirl - you and I are a very similar weight - lets through ourselves at this and get out of the 200s!! :)

My goal is to get to 200 by the end of Jan (although at the rate I'm gaining weight from the weekend it might end up being 10lbs!) so I'll stick to that one for now. Only 7 to go! (sheesh!)

We can do this!

Wow - if you're down 3 at night it HAS to be good in the morning!! Can't wait to hear how it goes in the am!! I'll be continuing to weight in every Monday only because I know me - I can't stay away from the scale for the rest of the month!!

Im starting from Jan 1st! Its for the month of jan ... right? Anyway, I snuck onto my scales tonight - just because I couldn't resist! Down 3 lbs! Im sure its water weight- but I normally weigh in the morning - so it may even be more of a loss! Im going to double check in the morning - then try to stay away until the end of the challenge! We can do this! :D

Wobbling only - no thuds!! OK to be honest, I started my weight from Jan 1, so the 3 down probably shouldn't count for this challenge. Or are we all starting with a Jan 1 weight? Anyway, I am expecting to lose a fair bit this week since I am finally getting to work on myself, so don't be shocked or dismayed if you see me go down a lot this week - it's just the Xmas gain finally coming off!

big 3-0 on friday - have a co-worker with the same birthday this week and its turning into a double celebration. There is talk of the dreaded brunch- which would be nice - if it didnt guarentee I would fall off the wagon for the rest of the weekend as well thanks to the usual hangover and general ropey-ness the next day! Will play it by ear!haven't weighed in , but I have been oh so well behaved so far this year - when I fall off the wagon - I tend to hit with a thud!!

I'll join in with this one! I weighed myself on January 2nd and wont go near the scales until 2nd Feb again so I will count from the start of this month! Im up to my eyes at work so I am not so sure about gyming it very often this month - but i am going to be angelic in the food department. Well ... except for my 30th birthday I may well wobble a bit there!! :)

I love challenges and I hope you all do too! I am already in several challenges for other teams and maybe some of you are as well. I think my favourite one is to Lose 10 pounds in January. Since many of us have just recently gained over the Xmas holidays, this should be quite doable!! Anyone interested??
