Moved the storage from a larger, more expensive location to a closer, cheaper one.

Cleared out the nook and now deciding if it will all fit and not be an eyesore.

I run my goals somewhat quarterly, and ďstuffĒ gets a cull in late summer and early fall and again in late spring.
So Iím setting some space goals.
June accomplished a taking stock of the number of boxes in storage and in my room.
July will hopefully begin the culling, which should be done in early September.

I did well overall for June. Hoping to do some detailed work (sorting through old letters, papers, and such) in the hot month of July.

Almost the end of the month and looking back, I feel like I have done a pretty good job of keeping the junk picked up....... that is a big thing with me I have a bad habit of not putting things away and so there is usually stuff laying around where it shouldn't be.

I have also done a good job of keeping the yard picked up - even have a couple of tomatoes on my one bush - now if I can keep the birds away. LOL

This was errand day. We took the recycle and trash to their drop offs.

Checked the school gym. Swept up a few dead bugs there.

Made bank deposit.

Did misc. shopping at Walmart.

Grocery shopped at Kroger's.

Gassed up van and filled gas cans for mowers.

Still to do: A load of laundry

Yard work

We came home last night from a wonderful three day trip.
So, back to reality today...
Suitcase is unpacked.
Laundry from last week is washed, dried, folded/hung, and put away.
All mail has been opened and sorted appropriately.

I rearranged some furniture into something more functional.
I spoke with my mother, my nephew, and my brother regarding the upcoming weekend.

Edited to note completion....
Entered all money spent into Quicken.
Filed receipts.
Ironed DH's dress shirts.
Paid Target bill and Waste Management bill.
Transferred money between accounts

We had a big storm blow through last night, so we've been outside picking up tree limbs and branches and debris all over the property.

Inside: 2 loads of laundry and load of dishes

Well, we had a period of time without rain today, so I chucked many of the chores and went out geocaching! Found four and discovered a park I never had been to.

Did a Costco run, gassed up there too. Put everything away, making a stocked pantry look great.

Spent more time overhauling my filing system. Clearing out the clutter, re-organizing everything, putting paperwork in new file folders, and putting the label-maker to good use.

Caught up on a bunch of phone calls to companies, but did not get to some paperwork. DH and I will need to deal with that tonight I guess!

Today I cleaned and organized the refrigerator.

Swept and wiped over the kitchen floor.

Dusted and vacuumed upper level of house.

Watered indoor plants.

Washed my bed linens and remade bed.

Washed a load of clothes, dried, folded and put away.

Cleaned both bathrooms on upper level.

Organized pantry.

Emptied dishwasher and washed another load of dishes.

Work day, only one location. Cleaned out my work bag, as in wiped it out and organized things back to their pockets. Also tidied the car since Iíve been slack.
Thursday I might vacuum the car.

Iím bringing the contents of my storage unit back to sort it. The pile of boxes will motivate me so I donít have to see them anymore.
Hopefully, Iíll get rid of enough to not need storage. And I live in a one room place!

Spent most of the day yesterday working in the yard. It is looking very good.
I re-potted a few things and saw 3 small tomatoes on my 1 tomato plant (3 flowers with small little fruit growing under each one.)
Then this AM I went out to admire them and 2 were gone. Can't believe the birds would go after tiny green tomatoes?????
Anyway the yard looks good and today is laundry day.

Just got home from my yoga class.

I have so much to catch up on, as I had my 4 year old granddaughter here for a week. I focused on her, and all chores were put on hold.

Today's goals----
Wash, dry, fold/hang, and put away all laundry, including bed linens and towels.
Enter all receipts into Quicken and file them away.
Pay all bills.

If I get those all done, I will see what else I can get into!

edited to add:
Got the ironing and mending done
filled out and mailed paperwork I needed to do for my elderly mother.
Purged catalogs and magazines

My son came in from FL last night. He is a young single teacher on summer break, so we will enjoy having him home the next few weeks. Today is a quiet laid back day but I did do 2 loads of laundry this morning, made a big brunch for everyone and dishes are all done, filled the hummingbird feeder and wrapped a baby gift for a baby shower I will be attending tonight. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. emoticon

Today after my quilting group - I worked in the yard. It was a nice sunny day and everything is looking nice and green. Still have a few "bald" spots in the lawns - but we do have some water rationing here in Southern CA for our yards.
Fingers crossed.....

Tuesdays are busy days for me. I'm doing a load of much needed laundry and headed out to the quilting group at church for a few hours and then to the charity knitting group.

Hope everyone has a good day . emoticon

OOPS forgot the cleaning lady comes tomorrow....so that means I had to pick up/clean
the whole house...... isn't that silly? But If I don't put stuff away, then I can't find it after she does her super cleaning job.
She really does the deep cleaning and the place really sparkles when she is done.

Today is laundry day... everything washed, dried, and put away.
Today I also took household goods and clothing to the Thrift Shop.
Between laundry loads, I took care of a half dozen phone calls that needed to be made.

Yesterday Hubby and I did a major purge of the garage. We still had random boxes of tools and books and kids outdoor items to sort through. The boxes are unpacked, the totes are empty and Hubby even built a new shelf and workbench out of his wood stockpile. It's a rest day today, unless he wants to go organize a bit more. Today I'm just working on laundry.
