My high has been cooking more. My aunt was doing most of the cooking and it wasn't the healthiest. But I've taken back control of the kitchen and am working towards making healthier choices for my family.

Thatís awesome! I hit over 16,000 after that hike. I felt it too. Same here, I log everything and I just donít do the diet thing either. It is a lifestyle for sure. I hope you have a great week also!

I want to do this. I NEED to do this.

Wow! I would have been the scaredy-cat!
This weekend I logged over 15,000 steps Saturday! Hauling Christmas totes up and down stairs, walking the dogs, and cleaning house! I am also logging everything that I put in my mouth. I need the accountability! Also adding the colors to my plate from the produce section! It has to be a lifestyle change for me. No diet here!
Have a wonderful week! emoticon

So we are already rolling into Monday and a brand new week. How was your weekend? I really believe that in order to truly celebrate the highs, you have to acknowledge the lows. Share with us your low from the past week and your highest high! Supporting and celebrating each other makes us stronger.

I think the best leaders not only lead but interact. Itís important to hear to your stories and share mine also. That being said, my low was my husband choosing the couch over walking/hiking with the girls and I. A tidbit of a backstory. For the 2 years prior to this past August, my husband took a position that required him to live here in Chicago because he travels all over the US for a corporate aviation company. Chicago is 4 hours from where we lived so for the past 2 years, he lived here, the girls and I lived there until we sold our house and my oldest finished college. It was tough. Now we are here and itís like we arenít. He still travels and his time home is limited. Naturally, we want him spending time with us. He has Type 2 diabetes, Crohns Disease, and is overweight. You see where this is going Iím sure. I worry about his health. He is eating banana bread and pizza. Iím pushing myself to be healthier. Heís eating cake. For now, it is what it is. Until a person is ready to make a change, you canít force them to do it.

My high.....these girls of mine! My oldest and I found a new park last week and loved it so we took the other 3 on Saturday. Crazy me decided to take a different trail back to the car and well ....we got a little lost. Not trapped in the jungle at dark lost but nonetheless, our 1 hour hike turned into a 3 hour fear fest for a couple of the girls lol! Obviously, we made it out alive and back home but the signs stating we were in coyote habitat didnít help my 18 yr old scaredy cat as the sun started going down! Lots of laughs after a morning of let downs.

Your low? Your high?
