Good morning Sparkies

Hope everyone has had a good week.

Kbelle, I hope your feeling much better and able to enjoy the weekend.

Welcome to the newbies, you've joined a great bunch of people to encourage, motivate and who will help you in your journey to get back in shape emoticon

Pleased to report a 2lb weight loss. I took in my lunch for work and and increased vegetables and fruit! Need to keep a check on the amount of water I drink - not enough!

Have a lovely weekend and a great week ahead.

Mahi- emoticon , Ill try, If it doesn't get any better I'll be headed to the doctors.

Kyleona-Great job on getting on track. Keep it up! And about Adipex, I'm not familiar with it, so I'm no help there! And emoticon for the well wishes!

Change4thebest- I hate gargling salt water, I was always forced to when I was little, so I hate doing it now. But maybe I just need to bite the bullet and do it because it works!! emoticon for the advise!!

Liveelover- emoticon ! All these ladies are wonderful! emoticon They have really helped me when I'm down and they are such a good tool to have during the weight loss journey! Good luck!

SICK still!
But its not too bad, It's just the trout. Working out today was okay, I was able to breathe!! If I dont feel better by Friday I'll be taking myself to the doctors. emoticon
Food was good for today, I have cut down so much on what I used to eat!! I made a very yummy dinner, Mexican Chicken breast. It was super easy and really good. I need to focus on eating more veggies, I think I might try to have a salad with dinner every day to do so.

Have a good thursday!! Soon it will be THE WEEKEND! emoticon

Hey all! I'm new, and I'd LOVE to have a buddy! :) I'm also planning on reading through some of your posts, since you all seem like such lovely people, but unfortunately homework calls to me. :/ But I would love to get to know all of you! It's so exciting to have such a tight-knit community.

Hi Cphunt & Kyleona, Great to read you both have pulled through and back on track emoticon Cphunt, it won't be long before you are reaping the rewards of a beautiful garden.

Kyleona well done to you and the family for giving up soda. Its surprising just how much sugar there is in one can!! This will be a great benefit to your weight loss - there may not be a need to toy with the idea of taking Adipex.

Kbelle, hope you get well soon. Several people I know have had dreadful sore throats. I find gargling with hot salty water 2 - 3 times a day, makes a difference and soothes the throat.
Don't be hard on yourself, we all have bad days - you'll be back on track! Thanks for sharing the video - just watched it and I cringed - its awful and an eye opener.

Have a good day tomorrow

Awe Kbelle, hope you get to feeling better! Thanks for the video, I was so grossed out!!! Ew ew ew ew ew ew, and down here in Kentucky, we call it "pop" but up in Pennsylvania where I was raised we called it "soda". I never know what to call it when talking to others lol!

I had a decent day, no baseball tonight due to severe weather, so I am going to hit the treadmill instead. Food has been on track, I had an afternoon run to McDonalds for a frappe, but I had a healthy breakfast and lunch and snack so no guilt here!

I have a doctors appointment next week, and I am thinking of talking to her about being put on Adipex. Anyone have any experience with it?

Cphunt- No problem, just helping a a fellow sparkBuddie! I know that when I'm having a bad day, You would be there to cheer me up. Have a great week, Work toward you goals! emoticon

Kyleona- Same to you, No problem, Just helping out! I love frozen fruit too! Its a great desert that is good for you!! And about the twisted frosty.... That is my biggest problem Ice cream... Its my favorite food, and its so tempting... But I have not given into to for a while now, some how? But just shake it off you had a great meal, when you could have had a unhealthy burger! So good for you! And with giving up pop (that's what we michiganders call it up here!! Ha)! that is so great! I gave up pop for a while,a while back and I felt so good about it. sometime I drink it but very rarely, After seeing this video in Nutrient class, it grossed me out and I never wanted a pop again. emoticon www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjXXkEWqXWY
But I do drink diet more, A lot better then regular pop. But I should get on board with you and give all kinds of pop up! But any who, great job and keep up the good work!

Today was bad for me.. emoticon

I ate some Buffalo Chicken dip, high on calories and just about everything else.
Then I ordered pizza and bread sticks... yup high on everything as well. It was just mushroom so it wasn't the most horrible thing you could eat.
So I'm pretty disappointed in myself. But I'm human, I have to eat bad things once in a while.
ALSO. I have had a sore throat since the weekend. And today it got even worse. I still exercised, but I was very uncomfortable, with the throat making it hard to breath and the pizza making my chest burn.
I guess that's what I get for not eating right. But personally, it made me not want pizza anytime soon. So that's a plus!

SO now I'm cuddled up on the couch, Drinking OJ emoticon and eating Soup. emoticon
Hopefully it will get me better!!!

Stay healthy everyone!!

Thanks KBELLE and CHANGE4THEBEST! emoticon I did get a walk in yesterday, and food was good right up until we had Wendys for dinner. I chose a salad and water, but then had a twisted frosty emoticon

Today, I have been hungrier for some reason, so I swung into the grocery store and picked up a lot of fruit to munch on. I LOVE to do frozen berries and lite whipped cream with a sprinkle of coconut emoticon BUT, I did get a walk in at the park while my oldest had baseball practice, I even took my Boxer pup with me and walked her.

And to top it all off..... we gave up soda pop "officially" starting yesterday. But I didn't have any on Sunday, so I am actually 3 days clear!!!!! That I think will make a difference this week.

Well I have to get a shower and go to bed, I am exhausted! Have a great night all!

Hi KBELLE1224 & CHANGE4THEBEST,
Thanks for the encouragement. Didn't do too bad yesterday after all. Had spagetti but couldn't finish it all & after that big lunch wasn't very hungry so only had 2 rivita & cheese for dinner. Also spent 2hrs digging up & transplating in the garden. Going to hopefully get off early again today to do some more. You're right I feel much better :)
Hope all is going well with you.
Will be working on meeting our targets so will mail again next monday after sun weigh in.
Thanks a mill.

Cphunt- Don't get discouraged. Everyone has there bad days/weeks/months! Look at the bright side, you are outside in the nice sun, getting exercise the best way possible. Cravings are the worst. And like Change4thebest said we can't put our craving on the back burner because they will only get worse. Keep your head up!

Kyleona-Same for you don't get discouraged! At least you are focusing on something, instead of eating bad and not exercising! Maybe try a new plan of attack. Try maybe planning your meals in advance, so you have the healthy food available and ready for you! or some other different plan. Just stay positive and keep working at it, and it will soon just fit into place.

Yesterday, I ate to much a whole foot-long from subway.... I was so disappointed. But I exercised and felt a little better about it. TOday I'm doing well with food and exercise, Walk/ran 4 miles today! Not going to be P90x, My head hurts and I'm terribly tired. I don't want over do it! I meet my weigh-in weight this week, - 3 pounds!! My goal for next week is 4lbs.

Hope everyone has a great week, and keep striving for out goals! emoticon

Hi Kyleona & CPhunt

CPHunt Everyone falls of the wagon, we all make mistakes! More importantly you have
made the effort to get back on track and worked hard in the garden. If you have a craving for lasagne & homemade chips, have a smaller portion with plenty of salad. When we deprive ourselves, the cravings get stronger.

If you feel you are giving into your cravings, make a plan to either finish off in the garden, catch up on housework or do whatever you have put off in the house and than have a little of the food you crave - you've worked for it emoticon

Maybe try out a few new recipes with lower calories - hang in there, this blip will pass.

Kyleona, water retention bumps up the weight, drinking plenty of water does help. Don't be hard on yourself, you've watched what you've eaten, used the pedometer and probably in need of rest!!! Go easy on yourself, next week you'll be back on form
emoticon

Stick with your intentions and have a good week

Morning fellow sparkers! emoticon

I sure am struggling, it seems like I'm not the only one. If my food is on track, my fitness falls, if I focus on fitness, my food crashes. It takes SO myuch energy and mental capacity to accomplish anything weight related. Ot at least that is how it seems...

I weighed in "unofficially", it's my one week of the month when I don't weigh in because its inaccurate. The scale says I am up 3 pounds, and I sure hope thats water weight!!

I am trying so hard not to get discouraged, I thought I did well last week, when we ate out, I chose healthy 3 out of 4 times. I kept a pedometer on all week and did okay with it. No extra exercise towards the end of the week, I was exhausted!

Today, I am walking with hubs while my oldest has baseball practice at the park, I am drinking LOTS of water and I started tracking food again. We shall see how it goes.

Hi guys,
Glad you're all still here. I'm been missing the last fortnight as have fallen off the wagon. No video some exercise but lots of food. Weighed myself yesterday as usual & am up .5lb. Now I've 3lbs to loose this week to get back on target, not sure how but will have to be good this week. Started ok as spend all day yesterday in the garden so am sore today. Will try to get another 2hrs in today also. (mainly digging & weeding).
Any help to get motivated again would be apprecited.
As I've already a hankering for lasagna & homemade chips for lunch already.
Thanks,
Cathy

When you have a bad week the last thing you want to do is step on scales. Instead, try on a piece of clothing, or use the measuring tape and make notes, this is what you will look back on in the coming months.
Hobbies/favourite past time - has this been neglected - pick up where you left off from or try a new hobbie - something you will enjoy and gain satifaction from.
Do you have recipes you might like to share on 'Focus on Food' which KKROWIAK kindly set up.
Remember, when you have a bad day/week - turn your attention to a new idea and focus on doing something constructive - its a great sense of achievement emoticon

Change4thebest- Good job on not gaining, that's a hard enough task in and of itself! Thanks for the reinsurance, I have to remember its not all about what the scale says, but instead, how I and body feels!

Mahi-Don't get discouraged on food, It takes everyone a long time to conquer it. Plus everyone slips up! Just try better next week and keep going from there! You will soon get a grip on it. Try to use the trackers, I never used mine and always struggled with food, then once I started using the trackers it really made me think about what I was eating! Hope this helps! But good luck on next week! emoticon

Missbussie-I normally weigh myself, everyday, every time I go into the bath room. But I have been away from home for the weekend so Idk what I weigh. It is quite stressful not being able to check in everyday.

Oh man-
I ate a big dinner. A bean burrito with rice, from a restaurant. And you all know how big restaurant helpings are! Disappointed in myself, but I just need to stop myself next time.
Have yet to work out today, but I'm a night owl and sometime workout later at night. So I'll be working out here in the next hour or so.

Keep up the good work everyone!
Stay possitive and
Hope everyone has a great Sunny emoticon sunday!!

If like myself your weight has remained the same, don't lose heart, accept, acknowledge and move on. We are hear to motivate and support each other.

Its great to wake up to sunshine and its going to be a good weekend!

Lillysmum- No Problem! Just helping a fellow Sparky!

Kowsley- Have fun out a town, and keep up the good work.

EVERYONE ELSE- where are you! No one has been on lately! Hope to here from you all soon!

Had yummy fish today, seeing how it is Friday.
I thought I would give myself one day where I still ate good, but actually eat what I want... not always good for you. So I also ate fries, with ketchup and ranch... tried to keep it to a minimum... Also "treated" my self to popcorn when I went to the movies... but very little. After a handful I had such a horrible guilty feeling. (Limitless= a good movie, I would recommend it emoticon )
But it was "Goodies Friday" and surprising I didnt go over my goals!!

Kowsley-
Wow 80's already!! That's like a nice summer day for us up here in Michigan... There is still patches of snow on the ground! 50's are what I'm calling warm right now lol! But great job on your hike timing! Plus excellent job on the weight loss, Keep it up and you will lose 15+ in no time!! You should look back on old posts in here, Change4thebest came up with a great challenge for those who wanted to join, to lose 12 pounds by Easter, that was with 6 weeks till easter. So you could join in now and keep yourself motivated! Maybe a little something to make the pounds go by faster!!

Yoga, Yoga, Yoga.
That's all I got to say folks....
That and the outrageous amount that i sweat during yoga.
Body is tried..Need to go refuel on a nice healthy dinner!

Hope to hear from you all soon!

Hello Arizona,

Where it's going to be in the 80's but a great morning for a hike up the mountain. My time is getting better only took an hour today....Victory! I have a couple of goals in mind, one is to do the bootcamp for the 8 weeks...because I am going on vacation to the beach. I have lost 30 pound before I joined and want to lose 15 more before my trip.

I also want to say thank you all, for being so welcoming and I look forward to making this journey with you.

Thank you KBELLE1224 and the best of luck to you also.

Good luck you everyone!

Kowsley- Welcome aboard! You have came to the right place for buddies! Everyone on here have been so helpful! Good luck on your journey!!

Lillysmum- Welcome also! Motivation is key! I have had some problems with it, we should try and keep each other motivated!! Good luck in your quest to get more fit!!! You can DO IT!

Whisperinglynx- Welcome! Good luck on you journey!

Oh, my...
Like Change4thebest has already mentioned... Time is flying by!
Sooner than we know it, it will be summer!! Which I'm looking forward too. Except for the infamous bathing suit.... Oh well got to look on the positive side and think about how warm it will soon be, and all the nice runs/walk I can take, and taking my siblings to the park! ---Well I'm in a good mood today, Won't argue with that!!

But,
Yesterday I went over on most of my food goals... Just because of lunch. I never knew Tortilla chips had so many cals... Well at least ill know for next time.
So far today i have been under my goals, Saving room to drink later for good ol Saint Patty's day... But not too much of course.

My 90 days of exercise is starting off nicely!
Today is yoga day... Which I am in dier need of...
Seeing how I am so sore and tight...

Hope everyone is having a nice start to spring!

Just checking in!

Letting everyone know, I'm finally getting my act together!
I have doing very well in exercise, and i have tracked my food for two days straight.
Which i big for me, because I normally don't track my food. But it helps to see what I shouldn't eat in the future!
But another good thing is that for both days, my food had under or a little above my set goals! Exciting stuff!

Hope everyone is have a nice week!

Hello Everyone.
Glad to see everyone keeping up with the challenge and staying on track!
I have been away for a while and have traveled off course...
But I'm getting back on track.
Taking little steps to make a big change!

Change4thebest, I also will be also be joining you in the 12lbs in 6 weeks.
A nice mid length goal, that I can turn into 6 short term weekly goals!!
My weight loss goal for this week will be 2 pounds!!
I'm excited to started working out tomorrow!

On another note.
I am starting my own 90 day exercise.
My boyfriend is doing 90X and I will be joining him for the most part...
But we have tried earlier this year, and sometimes it just too intense.
So instead of killing my self to keep up and barely being able to move
next day, I am going to try my best with that, and focus more on going
the gym and cat least doing 30+ minutes of exercise!
And everyday of the 90 days, I have a quote that will be motivating me.
I am going to be keeping a blog, and every day I will be blogging the inspirational quote!
SO if you are ever in need of some motivation, Come look at my biog!

Everyone have a great day!
Chat later! emoticon

Hi Mahl1979 & Kyleona, (couldn't access the site earlier) thank you both for responding to my challenge. I have to confess I made fudge brownies (first time friday) and didn't keep count on what I nibbled emoticon Kyleona the thin mints sound good emoticon I know when I have bought after eight dinner mints, greed creeps!

I will make sure I take in lunch and buy what I need so I have no excuses! Really looking forward to this challenge and weekly weigh in. It great just knowing we have each other for support. Clocks will be going forward this month - so looking forward to the brighter warmer days!

Changeforthebest-count me in!! I am game for 12pounds in 6 weeks!! Today we sat down and made a menu plan for the week and then went grocery shopping together. Now if I could just get these dang girl scout cookies out of the house!!!! I have lost count as to the number of thin mints I have eaten today! Not the end of the world though, I am going to get a helluva work out in and feel good about the small steps I took today. emoticon emoticon

Hi Kyleona

Just 4 more days to complete the course, just hope this time it clears the infection!

Kyleona, its great to read that you are happy, focused and determined to turn over a new leaf and achieve your goal before your birthday emoticon Good luck on your journey I hope there are lovely surprises in store for your birthday!

Welcome on board CJG Healthy and good luck with your weight loss journey.

With summer approaching, I don't want to be asking myself 'What can I wear and than have a mini fashion parade before I leave home!!

So, I too will give myself a mini goal of 6 weeks to lose 12lbs in time for Easter. It will be a good springboard to long term success. Any takers who would like to join me??

Just think how you would feel and its doable!! emoticon emoticon

Its food for thought, what you say Kyleona 'No one can change a person, but someone can be a person's reason to change'

Have a lovely weekend and a great week ahead.

Thanks changeforthebest! Glad to hear the antibiotics are almost done! Hope you are feeling better.

CJGHEALTHY- WELCOME! Sounds like you are having a motivation problem, join the club! I find my motivation wanes rather easily if I don't stay on it, and to stay on it can be exhausting. So start out small and maybe if you haven't already, make a vision collage to put your goals in the forefront of your mind.

As for me, I have decided to get below 200 before I turn 30!!!!! I got on spark this morning and put in my birthday, I can technically be at 187 by then!!! So I am renewed and ready to get BACK on track!!!!!

Hi Kyleona

I'm here! and welcome on board Leash.

Sorry to hear about your son - this situation is not an easy one - I hope the school nips this in the bud and all is acknowledge and dealt with!

Keep strong and positive emoticon

I have another dose of antibiotics to take and have slacked off the exercises. After dinner, on a few ocassions I have made myself comfy on the sofa and dozed off, wake up and its time for bed!

So easy to slip into this scenario, so yesterday no more and felt better for it! Will get back on course - feel so much better for making the effort.

You will get through this sticky patch

emoticon

Have a good day all

Hey everyone~!

I have been MIA for a few days, had a lot going on at home and with my oldest son. He is being bullied at school!! We have a meeting with the teacher this afternoon, I am just so heartbroke over this. I stopped tracking, stopped working out and have been a slug the last 5 days. Today marks a new day, I can tell I need the exercise, I actually miss it! My husband came down with pneumonia but is doing much better which is a HUGE weight off my shoulders. Been drinking my water, tracking my foods and planned to eat healthy today.

Will try to read through and somewhat catch up later this evening. emoticon

Ms misslynn

Toothache and lack of sleep is hard to cope with. But your keeping strong and positive by watching what you eat. Hope the antibiotics clear the infection and you have a good week ahead. emoticon

Hey all,

Well I had planned to start exercising. And Well that didnt turn out to well. I started but only to get an infected tooth :( So now I'm on antibiotics and haven't been sleeping for the past 2 days. I finally got a good seven hour sleep :). But once it is gone I will keep it up. I still dont eat junk food and try not to over eat which is still a good thing.

Welcome to all Newbies on your weightloss journey.

I haven't been well, just finished a course of antibiotics and haven't done any exercises!

Everyone is doing really well - keep it up. My company is starting Pilates during our lunch period which I am keen to join.

Have a lovely weekend all and a great week ahead with good results
