My original plan was to use my recumbent bike whenever baby was napping..... lol. That quickly turned to catching up on cleaning. *sigh*

I try to do body weight exercises while I cook, brush my teeth, wait for the shower to heat up, etc. I walk on the treadmill while I catch up on my shows. We are lucky at my work to have a gym on-site, so that's what I do on my lunch break.

I usually go for at least a 1 mile walk on my lunch break. I too do a lot of youtube videos after I put the kids to bed. Also, now that they are getting a little bigger I try to take them to a park/playground that has a walking path. Then I can still watch them on the playground while I walk around the path.

I try to walk while I'm on my lunch break, ride my stationary bike while dinner is cooking, and don't forget that playing with your kids can be exercise too!

I've found that I can fit in 10-40 minutes of exercise each day using You Tube videos - my favorites are Jessica Smith & Leslie Sansone but there are tons of options! Sometimes I even have time to complete it during my lunch break at work. The You Tube videos are free & easily accessible from a computer, smart phone or tablet!

I'm lucky that my girl doesn't do all the after school activities. She mountain bikes with me, or I should say I mountain bike with her lol.

anytime something goes in the oven I workout while it cooks, do squats while pushing the kid on the swing.
I get off work at 3 and try to make it a must when I get home, get it done and out of the way. Or else after dinner I hope on the stair stepper or get out the weights while we do TV time.

Hi there,
I hope to make this topic one where we share tips on making time for busy Moms to fit in exercise. I really believe that if we are creative enough, we can make time to live healthier lives. No excuses.

Here's my first tip: it just occurred to me that when I take my kids to their sporting practices I don't need to watch, or sit in the car (or go home), or use the time to catch up on email, etc. I can make it MY TIME to exercise.
Yesterday I dropped my daughter off at soccer practice, left the car in the parking lot, and went for a 1.5 mile walk. Usually I would go back home, sit and watch, or socialize with other parents. Today, I am totally re-thinking this and will commit to making my kids' athletic practices MY opportunity to exercise. Maybe I can talk those other parents into coming with me.

What tip for creating time to exercise can you offer busy Moms? I can't wait to here from you!
