I hope to make this topic one where we share tips on making time for busy Moms to fit in exercise. I really believe that if we are creative enough, we can make time to live healthier lives. No excuses.
Here's my first tip: it just occurred to me that when I take my kids to their sporting practices I don't need to watch, or sit in the car (or go home), or use the time to catch up on email, etc. I can make it MY TIME to exercise.
Yesterday I dropped my daughter off at soccer practice, left the car in the parking lot, and went for a 1.5 mile walk. Usually I would go back home, sit and watch, or socialize with other parents. Today, I am totally re-thinking this and will commit to making my kids' athletic practices MY opportunity to exercise. Maybe I can talk those other parents into coming with me.
