Yes, it was on Saturday. And we were so lucky! It was drizzling steadily from the time we got there. About 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the race, it started POURING! Everyone was huddled under the awnings that had been put up for the various booths. But then it stopped right before the race, and by the time we were done, the sun was peeking through.

Parts of the course were on dirt, so it was kind of muddy. There was also a section on a very cracked asphalt path with mud in the cracks--I nearly did a face plant there at the end. :-p

All in all, it was a very nice course though. The lake is beautiful!

Now, on to the Mission Inn on the 14th!

I forgot that my hubby has been planning on going to a big car show that's the same day as this race. We have a disabled son, so one of us needs to stay at home with him.
Hopefully I can make it to the one in Riverside.

Here's the website: norcokiwanis.org/5K-Run/5K-Run-2nd-a

You can enter through Active.com--there's a link on that page.

The March one is in Palm Springs. I did it once long ago when I was racewalking before. I like it because they give awards for walkers too, not just the runners. :) It's at: www.kleinclarksports.com/wrw5krunwal

I might be interested in doing that one. Is there some place that we can get more information?

Is there a website where I can get the information? I will put in on my calendar. I have a friend who may be having his pancreatic cancer around that time. Also where is the information on the walk in March? I am just getting into walking so I am not familiar with where to find the walks.
Thanks for your help
Brenda

It's in Norco, just off the 15 at 6th Street. It's currently part of the local prison and warfare center. Looks like a fairly flat course. :-)

Anyone planning on this one? I entered because it's in my backyard and I've always been curious about the old Norconian Hotel. :-)

I would love to connect with anyone else else doing this event!
