Piece of toast and a couple servings of fruit or 2 hardboiled eggs and a banana. Sometimes I make scrambled eggs, turkey bacon and potatoes and top with low-fat cheese, then I just reheat at work. It's pretty quick as long as I do it the same time I'm getting ready.

I love the Morningstar Farms veggie sausage patties. I eat them for breakfast quite a bit. I cook several at once and then zap them through out the week.

One of my favorites is a Morningstar Farm veggie sausage on a mini whole grain bagel and a cup of yogurt.

GrannyS5 - I would love to have your smoothie recipes. I LOVE the smoothies at my gym (only 230, 20 G protein, calories and they taste like a milk shake) but they are expensive at $5.70 each. So I only get one a week. I've tried making my own but they turn out too icey, not creamy.

Breakfast is my favorite and biggest meal for the day. I have a bowl of oatmeal, glass of 1% milk, piece of whole wheat bread with some sugar preserve. I then top it off with a banana or maybe a plum or berries emoticon

Not to big on breakfast, but I am learning to. I have been eating protein energy bars or a smoothie. Trying to work my way to a breakfast with eggs. I have chickens and lots of eggs. Think I might try a casserole and split it up for the week. emoticon

Here's a couple of my favorite breakfasts: (and, yes, I am kind of crazy for giving them names, but it keeps me entertained LOL!)

Omelet For Life (2 egg whites, chopped broccoli, tomato, 2 TBSP Mexican style 4 cheese 2%, chopped zuchinni or other squash, onion & 1/2 of a Jimmy Dean turkey sausage patty diced up) hmmm Sometimes I roll it up in a low calorie tortilla, other times not.

Breakfast Crack: an egg, piece of 2% cheese, 2 slices Black Forest Ham on a "thin bun" (kind of like a Breakfast Jack from you know where).

Cereal and Crunch: I pick my favorite cereal, like Honey Nut Cheerios, and throw in 6 cashews, 6 almonds and about 10-15 raisins.

1 banana sliced. 1 container of sugar free double chocolate jello pudding. I pour the pudding over the sliced banana. Very low in calories but oh-so-filling (and helps me get part of my calcium out of the way).

I think my two favorite things for breakfast are a breakfast casserole, which you can make the beginning of the week and cut it up and reheat every morning! I usually add in lots of veggies and a protein, like turkey sausage.

my other favorite are these blueberry waffles from trader joe's with blueberry preserves on them. mmmmmm!

Some may not agree with me, but I like to start my day with a great breakfast that keeps me going, so I want protein, carbs, fat and fresh fruit. So with that in mind, I have a "great value sausage patty", with a bagel thin, (both are fully cooked so microwave for 1 minute and you are done. Then I add a banana and a cup of coffee. This keeps me satisfied until lunch and my energy levels stay up.

I love chobani greek yogurt in the morning with wheat germ, fruit or fiber one cereal added. Also great with a bit of granola. Yummy and filling! Another member of Sparkpeople suggested using it to make a thicker smoothy! Great idea.

Another great breakfast idea, with an egg, is a Pepperidge Farm or Arnold sandwich round, toasted. Crunchy and delicious!

I enjoyed, a serving of whole wheat crackers with 2 Tbsp. Weight Watchers cream cheese spread and 1oz of smoked salmon (lox). I also had cup of my home grown cherry tomatoes (no fuss just pop them in your mouth). I washed it all down with 2 cups of black coffee. I never miss breakfast, its one of my favorite meals.

I agree, there are tons of yummy ideas here! I am definitely trying the egg mugs tomorrow morning. I usually go for the bowl of Special K with red berries and glass of milk. On the weekends, it's scrambled egg whites, fruit, toast and sugar free preserves (Polaner all Fruit)and milk. I gotta have my glass of milk in the morning. Thanks everyone for some great new breakfast ideas.

Egg mugs are the best breakfast, and they're pretty quick! Just spray a coffee mug with non-stick spray, add a half-cup of Egg Beaters and whatever other omelette ingredients you may want (I like to break up a wedge of Laughing Cow Light, but I've also used salsa & black beans). Then microwave for a minute, stir it with a fork, and microwave for another 30-45 seconds. I add a Thomas Better Start english muffin or some light toast and fruit and I have an easy, nutritious breakfast!

I've never thought of quinoa for breakfast. I really like cheerios and fresh blueberries, but oatmeal with fruit and nuts or seeds is my fallback. Sometimes an omlette with plenty of vegetables creates nice variety.

Quinoa as far as I know is a seed. I've cooked it with chicken stock, but cooking it with milk could be interesting. It don't really have much of a taste, it really absorbs whatever you cook it in. Apparently you can also eat it like a cereal too...

I usually will do an egg either hard boiled, fried with pam or scrambled- I always use Egglands Best, a piece of whole wheat toast with Smart Balance and some sort of fruit. Of course, if I am lazy...then it is 3/4 cups Honey Nut Cheerios, and 3/4 cup 1% milk.

Until recently, I had the Jimmy Deal D-Lights breakfast sandwich, both the canadian bacon and the sausage. Now that it's warmed up, I'm not wanting a hot breakfast, so I've been cutting up strawberries and grapes, mixing it with cinnamon and a small container of plain Greek yogurt and letting it sit overnight. Then the next morning I add about an ounce and a half of Cascadian Farms granola. Very yummy.
I also love English Muffins and almond butter.

Sometimes I make quiche ahead of time and just have a slice of that for breakfast. It's great for protein and low in calories.

Or, lately I've been making "eggy"'s...you know, a piece of bread with a hole cut out in the middle that you crack an egg (or use egg beaters) in in the frying pan. It's yummy, has protein and fiber, and easy.

I know now that I know nothing.

My favorite breakfast is stirfry! I know its weird, but I buy the frozen stir fry mix so I don't have to chop anything in the morning. I cook the veggies, and a REALLY whisked egg letting that cook til the egg is done, and then sprinkle with cheese and hot sauce (because I'm a hot sauce addict).

I should try that with cereal. Also,a sweet breakfast is a bowl of one or two sliced kiwis (or a cup of berries of your choice), granola, honey, and the chobani yogurt of your choice.

My favorite breakfast is a vitatop or vita muffin, fruit and coffee. It starts my day off well, gets some good fiber in me early and keeps me until lunch.

I eat Fiber One Carmel Delight and soymilk for breakfast which keeps me full until the middle of the morning and then I'll have a piece of fruit.

I'm pretty mundane when it comes to breakfast. I always have oatmeal, DanActive, and Activia - topped off with a cup of English Breakfast Tea. I do like to, and am forced to, change it up a bit when I travel, but I am keen on staying as healthy as I can. I really like the Starbucks spinach & feta wrap. That thing is amazing, and is crazy low in calories (yet high in protein). I've tried to recreate it at home, but I'll never be able to get it right.

I take an egg and put it in a glass cup (little squirt of Pam). Mix it and put in the microwave for 45 sec to 1 min. Then I dump it on a whole wheat muffin with a slice of fat free cheese. Its my own little egg muffin breakfast. The egg will keep it's shape and stay on the muffin.

I started my morning with one scrambled egg, cup of grapes, and almonds. So delicious and filling for not that many calories. I'm following the paleo lifestyle and breakfast is usually the only meal that doesn't require a ton of preparation and cooking; therefore it's my favorite :)

I like toast with peanut butter and fruit or a bowl of cereal. If I eat a big breakfast I seem to want to eat all day.

GERISE, here is a link for a no-cooking oatmeal. I had it today, but I have to say I didn't really like it :/ But it seems like others have and perhaps you'll like it, too.
