How exciting, Barb, that the lambs are being born. I know how much work new babies are since we raised pigs for a few years. Even had some piglets that the mother refused to care for, and I had them in the house and fed them round the clock for quite some time. A local vet had told me I couldn't keep them alive, but I managed to raise them to adulthood.

Roselle - Since my HS class graduated in 1960, we decided recently to get together for a luncheon in a locally about every two months. Of course, there are a lot who live too far away to make it to these luncheons, and I live about 30 miles away from where they are usually held.
However, I enjoy going to these as it keeps me in touch with my class--and a lot of the classmates who live locally never go to the big reunions every five years. The big reunions are usually weekend affairs held in New Hampshire so it makes for a weekend that takes a lot of planning.

Hope everyone is enjoying the fact the snow is disappearing.
Happy Easter.

Not much on the agenda today. Tomorrow I will help out at the Homeless shelter and have some family activities in the pm. Still trying to stay on track. I was happy to maintain last week. Easter may be tough, but I am trying to plan ahead. My contribution is a chocolate cream pie, my SILís favorite. I am actually not a big fan of chocolate, so thatís good.

Jenna- I love the idea of a poker walk! I will have to remember that when we are planning activities. What a creative idea! I have snowshoes too, with plenty of land to walk on. I keep wishing my knee would cooperate. I know I will probably have to break down and have surgery at some point.

Eileen- I am so glad that the snow is beginning to disappear. I am starting to see some lawn peeking out. Now if we can just keep from getting any additional snow, we should clear the snow before summer starts. So glad you were able to enjoy your HS reunion. Weíre trying to plan for our next reunion in 2022, which will be our 50th. We had a small get together for our 45th and decided to start planning early for the next one. You are right, weíve lost so many and many are really showing signs of their age! I remember complaining in HS how some thought they were better than the rest, and my mom would always say that life and age has a way of evening things out. She was right!

Barb- We have a local farm that taps the two big Maples in my momís front yard. I received my complimentary bottle of syrup, which I will send to my aunt in NC. She was also so excited to know it came from momís trees.

Happy Easter everyone.

Guess we missed the snow here, been kind of busy with the maple sap gathering, walking on snowshoes with a couple of 5 gallon pails of sap is definitely a lot of exercise!

This morning I went down to do chores and a lamb was born just as I got there, another about 10 minutes later and one more for the first mother about 20 minutes later. Makes for a busy morning, putting them in lambing pens, getting them water and hay. The black ewe had a huge black ewe lamb, and is having trouble getting up, must have had some nerve damage. She was doing better tonight, will take a couple of days. The white ewe had twins one ram and one ewe both white. She didn't have any milk this morning so I got some colostrum defrosted and fed the babies, but at 4 they didn't want any, mom has some milk, but I am worried she won;t have enough since one side of her udder didn't seem to be bagging out at all. I have milk replacer, and will have to watch them, they will probably need supplement milk.

I usually go to sell eggs on Thursday but it was 2:30 by the time all quieted down in the barn

Yes, Jenna - I have tried setting a timer and trying to get as much done as possible before it goes off. It works especially well if you have a job that you dread doing that will take a long time to do. If you tell yourself you only have to work until the timer goes off, it is surprising what you can accomplish.

Yesterday afternoon I managed to get the basket made that I needed for a shower gift, and this morning I stained that one and a few others that I had made over the winter. Since I stain baskets in an unheated shed, it has been too cold to do much before now. Guess being able to get these baskets stained is a sure sign that spring is coming.

Hope everyone is enjoying this great weather.

Today is a rest day from the hand weights and my body needs it! Instead we will do a 20 minute power clean on the house. I learned this trick a while back and find it to be really productive. We set the timer for 20 minutes and just clean what we can. The deal is we can be done at the end of the timer. I swear we get more done in twenty minutes with a timer than two hours otherwise!

We are hoping to also try out a new camping grill tonight. I got hubby one for Christmas and he has been so anxious to try it! Kabobs for dinner!

If it is to be, it is up to me!

Jenna - We have had some rain, some snow, and also some sleet here as well. It is now doing nothing and look a bit brighter so maybe we will get some son as well.

I have gotten a 60 minute workout in. I did the Tone Every Zone Walk DVD which uses hand weights and does combine strength training exercises with intervals of walking and finishes with a 20 minute walk. I feel well exercised.

It is sleeting and nasty up here right now! Yuck!

I got up and got in a hand weight routine this morning. I also printed some extra music that I need later today. Then my vehicle dug big trenches in the drive when I was leaving so I got a second workout shoveling those in. We are supposed to be getting a delivery today and I didn't want those trenches to freeze.

Looks like we are going to have to be our own sunshine today! Make the most of it!

I used to love to snowshoe, but haven't for years. I do have a pair with no bindings on them, but haven't been brave enough to try them since I would have the dog with me. I may just get brave enough to try them next year.

It has been such nice weather here and our snow is going fast.

Barb, I am guessing that the sugaring season is later up where you are. Our producers in this area have been making syrup for some time.

Have a great day,

Snowshoeing is a GREAT workout! I hope to use them to get out and prune our fruit trees this week (plum, cherry and apple). the snow will help me reach higher without needing a ladder!

This weather is exactly what my soul has been in search of! I've got more accomplish in just the past couple days than I have in weeks! Beautiful walks, healthier meals and I've even started a new hand weight routine. I'm feeling back on track! Now to be diligent and make it stick. I've already done the weights for today but am saving the walk for this afternoon. I did have my hot drink stand on my porch soaking up the early morning sun this morning. What a peaceful way to get going!

If it is to be, it is up to me!

Looks like good weather for tapping trees the next two weeks, I put out 20 taps today and will finish tomorrow on the other side of the house. Kind of a workout on snowshoes, they seem to use totally different muscles then regular walking.

Hubby is home with terrible sinuses and a headache today. Here's hoping he can catch it before it leads to an infection! I've been having allergy symptoms for a couple weeks now myself. It's not even spring-like weather yet! LOL

I think we are in for some much improved weather this week! Enjoy every moment of it that you can!

After waking up to dusting of snow on the ground, it has turned into a glorious afternoon. Wish my driveway was not so wet and muddy, the dog and I could stand to walk outside for a bit. I won't walk her on the road because of too much traffic, and their is just not enough area that is dry enough for a good walk.

Hope everyone is getting to enjoy this Sunday.

What beautiful sunshine is pouring through the windows today! We got out for a good two mile walk before lunch today. The wind was brisk the first mile, but to our backs on the way home so that part was glorious.

We did a bit of spring cleaning today. I ran to Walmart bright and early. It was time for new bedding. New pillows and all. Then came home and we did lots of dusting and vacuuming (even under the bed and such). I can wait to crawl into fresh new sheets comforter tonight!

I seem to be regaining some of my zip! I have even already packed a lovely salad for lunch at work tomorrow.

Enjoy this gorgeous weather!

Thanks for your reply, Jenna. I always say "better late than never" so don't worry if you don't answer promptly--at least you did answer.

We were so lucky not to get any snow in the recent storm so I was able to go to my class reunion luncheon--about 35 miles away--without worrying about bad roads. The luncheon was on Thursday and it is always good to see people I went to HS with. The number of classmates is dwindling as we graduated 58 years ago. Some classmates are healthier than others as can be expected for us who are all in the mid-to-late seventies.

Hope everyone is planning a wonderful weekend.

A poker walk is just that, Eileen. You draw a card when you get there and then walk for an hour. Each 15 minutes you draw another card and it creates your hand. We had the option of trading two cards at the end to try to better our hand. They had prizes for top 3 hands and worst hand. Plus other smaller prizes drawn randomly throughout. I left with a day pass to UMPI's gym!

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. We had a county-wide workshop day and there was no Wi-Fi access during the presentation ;)

Right now it is 3.30 am and I am WIDE awake with allergy eyes (dry yet, goopy and stinging)

If it is to be, it is up to me!

Jenna - I am so glad your concert went well. It is always rewarding when your students look satisfied with their achievements. I also would like to know what a poker walk is. I know that some motorcycle riders do a poker run for charity, etc. Is this similar, where you pick up a card at each station as you reach it to see if you have a winning hand?

Rachelle, I know how you feel about your GD. My GS is in the eighth grade and (because he is
in a town with no high school) will be graduating this year. Time really goes too fast at times.

Managed to get all the wood in before it starts snowing again, and I spent this morning cleaning my wood stove and then cleaning house. Since I had to carry the wood through the kitchen to stack it in the wood shed, my kitchen floor was covered with sawdust. I am so happy that I got it all cleaned up this morning. I then did a long walking video and was surprised at how many minutes I had on my FitBit. I change wrists where I wear it, and it is really making a difference in number to steps it logs.

Hope we don't get any snow with the storm and it stays off the coast. I have had enough, but I am not putting the shovel away yet.

Busy day today. I need to continue to clean up my Momís house. Sadly, my brothers have blocked yet another proposal, so I need to put the property on the market. The estate sale was difficult but is behind me now. One more step forward. This afternoon I have a hair appointment, then itís off to pick up my GD for a trip to the Maine Mall and a fitting for her prom gown. She is such a lovely, intelligent young lady. Hard to believe she will graduate this year. Hopefully, the snow will hold off until I get home.
Jenna- It is sad to see so many open spots in our malls. Some of my favorite stores are now gone. I still like trying things on in the store but realize many more are more comfortable with the online options. Seems like many are struggling to get going right now. I am anxious to get out and get moving outside. Glad your concerts were a success. What is a Poker Walk?
Eileen- Weíve brought in the last of our wood for this season. We used a lot during those really cold days earlier this year.
Barb- Glad you enjoyed time with your family. I, too, find it interesting how eating habits of others vary. I prefer to eat early-between 5/6 but know many like a much later time.
Stay safe and warm everyone. My shovel is ready to go-again!

Thanks for the well wishes on my concert. It was fantastic!! The students really outdid themselves and made me so very proud! This is just why I do what I do. The looks of accomplishment and joy on their faces as they left last night is worth it all.

I am participating in a Poker Walk with colleagues at school today. It should be be lots of fun and great company.

Jenna - Best of Luck with your concert. I hope all goes well.

Barb- I am definitely a morning person, and I don't function well much after 8:00 PM. I just don't understand people who scheduled things so late like the 10:00 PM game. I am also a veggie eater and a meal without veggies is not a meal to me so I can understand why you would find the meal without them odd.

I am sure Calliope was like glue and my dog and cat definitely like to have Mom home. Even a day away grocery shopping cause the glue effect in my house.

10pm????? How old is she? I can't function that late, let alone to be trusted to run about lol!

I just sat down and created my to-do list for the day. It's going to be a doosey! Hubby and I each have a concert at our respective schools. I am feeling like my students are well prepared and excited so that relieves me. I will still get jitters, though. I will be super happy when I can go home and put my head down knowing that it is done and behind me!

Have a wonderful day!

I bought another ton of pellets too! It is cold. I was in MA all weekend, what a long ride, the wind was awful pushing the car around the whole way, took 7 hours to get there. Seems like they live life at a very different pace then I do, more running around! I got to my brothers in time for supper, they don't eat until about 8-9pm, he was cleaning up the kitchen and making supper while his wife was doing laundry and cleaning up the other parts of the house in preparation for a get together the next day. My niece and goddaughter was having her confirmation the 17th, so we all had to be at the church at 9:30. We had to take two cars. It takes a lot of maneuvering to get my mother to the van and in it, when we got to the church and Mike was pushing her up the ramp, he went around the corner and it was blocked with snow from the roof, mostly ice and stuck to the ramp. Several men grabbed the chair and carried it up the stairs! They have a place for wheelchairs to park during Mass so that was good. After Mass everyone came over to Mikes and had something to eat, they don't eat much like me either lol, two big platters of chicken wings and chicken fingers plus sandwich meat and rolls, not many veggies! We were all sitting in the living room later after everyone went home and the oldest niece came down and started putting on her soccer socks and asked me if I was coming to her games, she had two that night one at 8pm and one at 10pm. Wow games that start at 10 pm? We ended up taking two cars there too, and didn't get home until 12:30, didn't bother with supper after all that!
I got home last night about 9 pm, had a bowl of veggie soup and went to bed, Calliope was very like glue, most of the night!

Jenna - It is extremely cold here (considering that it is mid-March and spring arrives this week calendar-wise). I am so glad I decided to get the extra firewood. I am hoping that I will get it all under cover this afternoon--worked on it some this morning. I am taking some of the bigger pieces down into the cellar as I want the option of being able to light the wood furnace when it is really cold. Did that on Saturday and the heat felt so good.

Hope your busy week goes well for you, Jenna and that everyone is able to enjoy some spring-like weather soon.

We brought in another ton of pellets on Friday too. And good thing we did because it is cold up here!! We have an odd week ahead. A rehearsal tonight, hubby and I both have concerts at our respective schools tomorrow night (we try not to double book, but it doesn't always work) and then Thursday is a half day and no students Friday for professional development! Plus the kids start standardized testing this week, so I will miss getting to see a bunch of groups!

I'm really struggling with motivation for health and fitness recently. I'm not my usual get moving, make good choices self. I need to kick it into gear, though!

Since I was running out of firewood for both my furnace and my kitchen stove, I ordered some firewood--a little more than half a cord. Since I can't get close to where I usually store the kitchen firewood, I had to have it delivered to my front driveway where I usually park my vehicle. I have spent at least a half hour, bringing the wood in through the kitchen. Once I had the wood rack in the kitchen filled up (and as much wood as I could put in the oven and under the edge of the stove), I continued through the kitchen into the woodshed. Hopefully my FitBit thinks that was exercise as my body did. If I can do another half hour this afternoon, I should have a good start at getting this wood under cover.

My house smells like drying firewood as that in the oven and under the stove dries. I could not get dry firewood, but I figure that I can dry this quite fast using up what little dry wood I have left.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sun.

My exercise yesterday was walking laps at our 'mall'. I use the quotes because there are so few stores anymore!! It snowed pretty steadily all day yesterday and while it didn't accumulate to too much everything was slushy. By dinner time the sun was out and it was lovely!

We have a pretty quiet Friday night planned and then rehearsals on both Saturday and Sunday. Today I have a dress rehearsal with students as it is the last time I will see them before our concert next Tuesday! I think it is going to be a great afternoon.

I am glad you enjoyed your snow day, Jenna. I spent yesterday shoveling and cleaning out the overabundance of snow that we got. My FitBit registered over 2 hours of exercise, and my muscles feel it today. I have just finished doing today's workout--a new Leslie Sansone DVD which advocates a 30 minute plan of speed walking for 30 minutes one day, and doing 30 minutes of strength training the next day--alternating the two sections of the DVD for 6 days a week. I did the walking segment and half of the strength training, just to try to loosen up the stiff muscles from shoveling. Not sure my strategy worked, but at least I got a workout in.

Hope everyone is shoveled out and enjoying sun today.

I got in my full day/evening of conferences on Tuesday and then we had a snow day on Wednesday. While we didn't get hammered with snow like you folks downstate, Our winds were whipping like crazy and there was very little visibility and LOTS of drifting!

With my snow day I didn't manage to accomplish anything! Not an indoor workout, not a puzzle, I didn't even read. I'm not even sure what I did....it was lovely!

If it is to be, it is up to me!

Rachelle - I know all about that exercise. I have shoveled for a long time today, and the snow here was heavy. Maybe not as heavy as last time, but it sure wasn't light and fluffy. My deck has not be shoveled (and probably won't be since it is only accessible from my bedroom). I hope that it will melt, as it has the rest of this winter.

It has snowed here off and on all day, but the good news is that it has not accumulated and some of what came down is actually melting slowly.

Hope everyone is staying safe in this storm, but the roads around here seem to be good. Just be careful of black ice tonight when it gets colder.

Well I completed my new cardio program-snow shovel squats! I just finished shoveling the deck and got in 40 minutes of exercise. The temps are actually quite comfortable, and the snow was not as heavy as last time, so it was a pleasant workout.

Sounds like everyone is managing to survive our latest storm. Are you ready for another?

Jenna, It didn't start snowing here until around 11:00 am, so you might get your conference in before it gets really messy for you. Stay safe. I love chili too.

I am hoping that this is the last Nor'easter we get this year. I have had all the snow I want or need. I am running out of firewood so called my firewood guy to get a small load delivered on Friday. I usually get a cord at a time, but I an't get the load in to where I usually have it dumped, and only have room for a 1/2 cord.

Stay safe in this storm everyone, and let's hope the power stays on.

We have more parent/teacher conferences today so the kiddos are already scheduled to go home at noon. Now let's wait to see what they say for the adults! I threw a chili in the crock pot before leaving this morning. I love chili on a stormy day!

Stay safe and stay warm, friends!

Yes, Rachelle, my shovel is by the door and ready to be used when necessary. I am sure we all are ready for spring. I have already postponed the basket class that I had scheduled for tomorrow, and the meeting I had on Wednesday has been cancelled completely.

I don't like to drive in messy weather so we will see if I make my chiropractor appointment tomorrow morning. Perhaps it would be better to wait until after all the shoveling anyway.

Stay safe in the storm everyone.

Barb - I'm so pleased for you! What wonderful news about your vehicle. Such a relief

I hope you are all holding on to your hats because we are going to get hit again! Starting tomorrow afternoon! Didn't we just do this? LOL

It was a beautiful day in the County yesterday but of course hubby and I had to travel to UMAINE for a meeting and spent most of it either in the car on inside!

We have half days at school today and tomorrow for parent teacher conferences. As a result I get this afternoon off. I'd like to squeeze in a trip to the quilt shop in Caribou and maybe even a walk!

If it is to be, it is up to me!

Itís been snowing off and on all day today. Even though it is a light snow, it is discouraging nonetheless. I am so ready for spring, but we have another Noríeaster bearing down on us for Tuesday. Yesterday was a busy day with errands in the morning, Shopping with DD in the afternoon, and movie night with DH. We went to see the Black Panther. It was a fun movie, a bit of a change from our usual movie fare. Today has been quiet-a good day to catch up on reading. Our book club is reading "The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane."

We did have some special visitors at the feeder:

Eileen- I am with you! I am definitely tired of all of this snow. The only good thing is that I no longer have to stress abut driving to work in the mess.

Barb- So glad the repairs wonít be too costly. You never know.

Stay safe and warm everyone. My shovel is ready to go-again!

Barb - I am happy to hear that the fix for your car was so much cheaper than the estimate.
It doesn't happen too often, but it is worth celebrating when the problem is a lot less complicated than it could be.

It is a nice day here with sun and clouds. The sun is breaking through quite often. However, I notice this morning that we had a very pink sunrise, and my grandmother always claimed that a red (or pink) sky in the morning was notice that bad weather was coming. I would like to think this old weather adage was wrong, but I have seen it forecast bad weather too many times not to feel warned.

Hard to tell how much snow we got, it looked like a lot less then they said we were supposed to get but with all the wind and drifting who knows. The center of my courtyard was bare of snow as usual, and the drifts all around the inside, I left the truck in a place I don;t usually leave it and it was in the drift path, kind of buried!

My neighbor drove me to Bangor Friday to get my car, after the really bad price they gave me on fixing it, it ended up being just a fraction of that, I kick myself for not checking that fuse, it had a weird name IG Meter fuse, but upon looking up online sure enough it will cause all those things that my car had, probably caused by the catalytic converter shield coming off and scraping the wire. They changed the fuse and taped the wire and the bill was $126. instead of $3000. They said I could have the Oxygen sensor changed, that is what the wire goes to, you have to change the whole thing because the wires do not plug in, and the part alone is $595. I am going to look at it and see what I think, seems excessive to spend $1000 bucks on something like that. I was kind of surprised that the wires were that low to the ground and not very protected to such an expensive part.

Just got the weather forecast and there is yet another Nor'easter scheduled to come in on Tuesday. I am definitely sick of these big storms. No prediction yet as to number of inches to expect, but he said there is a potential for double digits again. Let's hope he is wrong.

Don't forget to set your clocks tonight, everyone. I don't like the time change this early as I was just getting used to the daylight when I take the dog out for the first time, but I guess we are gaining daylight every day so it won't be long before it is light again early in the morning.

Have a great weekend.

We ended up with 18' here. Fingers crossed we don't get hit with another one. My cold is finally starting to break up and I was able to get some walking in yesterday.

Eileen- we were thinking alike. I made a big pot of chicken stew for the storm which could be warmed on the woodstove if we lost power. Thankfully that was not an issue, and the soup was great after an afternoon of shoveling.

Jenna- Sounds like your concert was a great success! emoticon

It hasn't started snowing yet here, but I am sure it is just a matter of time. I made a big pot of beef stew today so that should be a warming meal for this evening.

Happy March, friends! It's been a busy one already! Sorry about your vehicle, Barb! That certain can add unwanted stress to a day!

Yesterday was busy with a beginner band day hosted at my husbands school. We had 170 students involved! It was a wonderfully successful musical celebration.

Last weekend one of the bands I am in had a gig and we SOLD OUT the auditorium at UMPI!! We raised nearly $3,000 for renovation of the auditorium. The crowd was a LOT of fun and there was a ton of energy!

If it is to be, it is up to me!

Today marks a turning point in settling my momís estate. A local group who takes care of sales and disposal of property will be at my momís house to start cleaning and sorting. A sale is scheduled for March 17th. Such a bittersweet time, but this step is long overdue. My daughter and I have made a bid on the property, but unless things change, we will need to go to court. My brothers are refusing to sign off on any proposals. This has created unfortunate tensions between the siblings. Weíll see what happens.

Barb- So sorry to hear about your vehicle troubles. Sometimes when it rains it pours. I certainly understand and agree with your thoughts about others helping sometimes. I am glad you are safe and had the foresight to stop and check your tires. Otherwise things could have been much different. Good luck with the Honda. Fingers crossed that the repairs wonít be too costly.

Eileen- We have a lot of bare spots here as well, but they will soon disappear. The only good thing is that snow does melt much quicker this time of year.

Stay safe and warm everyone. My shovel is ready to go.

The car got towed to Bangor today, my father made an very unexpected move to lend me the money, I was so surprised when he said that I was speechless, he came back on and asked if I was still there. I remember just in time that Geico would pay for towing so I got that settled today, and the car has an appointment tomorrow, it will take an hour to diagnose then the bad news comes lol. The Electric power steering was on an extended warranty for 10 years that ended last October, what a bummer!

Rachelle, so sorry you got that awful flue that is going around. Please take care and do not try to push yourself too hard until you are fully recovered.

Barb- Also so sorry that you are having so much vehicle trouble. They are great when they are running properly and we depend on them to the point when they aren't running it is a big problem. Hope you are able to get everything back in good running order. I do hear you on the expense situation. It seems everything that has to be done is terribly expensive.

Take care everyone in the coming snowstorm. My lawn is starting to show bare spots, but I am sure they will disappear quickly since we are in the area where they are predicting 10 to 18 inches of new snow.

Wow, what a nuisance vehicles can be sometimes! So sorry you are having all those issues!

Would write more, but have to leave for work, this week and next, we are 40% short on staffing. Hoping I don't get sick!

Wishing all a great day! A Sparking day! A calm day before the storm!

Snow has been melting quite a lot, at least most of the ice is gone from the driveway! Been having car and truck problems. The car is still sitting here stuck, I checked out all the obvious things but no luck. I am going to have to get it towed to Bangor to the Honda Dealer there, and from what I see it will be expensive. The electric power searing has failed along with the interlock break safety. The interlock locks the car in park, and when it fails it stays locked in park. I am holding off doing anything because of the money right now.

I decided to take the truck to Millinocket on Thursday, I haven't been driving it because I just haven't found a spare tire, I threw the spare in the back and took off, got on the interstate and the wheel sounded like it was rattling, I stopped and looked at it, well it was rattling, the lug nuts were just about off the bolts. I learned a valuable lesson about allowing a couple of neighbors to help me by changing my tire that day when it went flat. Apparently they did not tighten the lug nuts properly. I should have checked them, it is hard to tell people you don't want them to help you but this did cost me a lot of money. It ruined the lug nuts, bolts and wheel. So now I don't even have a spare wheel never mind tire. But I guess it could have been much worse if the tire went wheeling off dropping the truck on the ground.

Another storm on its way! The good news is that the snow does melt a bit quicker whenever the sun is out.

I finally got hit with the sickness going around. I spent most of last week resting and dealing with a hacking cough. It is finally starting to break up, though my voice is now very scratchy.

I am so looking forward to spring. The idea of being a snow bird is becoming more and more appealing.

When I grew up in Millinocket, Maine I did not think I would be a "snow bird". But now I am. This winter with its early start made me want to run to Florida. I am glad I did. Getting used to warmer temps was easy as I came down in January and it was cook here. Last month my grandkids and parents came down and the weather was beyond wonderful. I miss them very much but I do not miss the weather.

Here's to March, in like a lion and out like a lamb.

On my way to my new normal.

It's a beautiful day here, and so the month of March gets off to a good start. Regardless of what happens weather-wise from this point, we know that spring is not too far off. I love the warmer temperatures and the fact that snow in this area is disappearing fast. There are bare spots appearing on my lawn, and big puddles out in the field from the snow melt. Love It!

Good morning fellow Sparkers!

Here we are, past the deepest part of winter, moving on to spring.People seem to have a smile and a little more pep in their steps as I see them about town, getting out more.

I have been doing more with the Calendar Challenges and even the Spark Challenges. While I am far from perfect at doing them, it is still helpful in keeping me more focused and on target with my overall goals.

Progress, not perfection is the phrase I often repeat to myself.

Wishing you all a cheerful and successful month! Looking forward to hearing what you are all doing!
