Oh goodness that is some high sensitivity for sure! My friend at work is convinced that dogs are more sensitive and can feel/see ghosts when we can't-maybe she is on to something! :) How about this for our first challenge-weather permitting we walk a total of 5 miles over the weekend and do 4/30 second planks, 3 sets of 10 bicep curls/shoulder raises/butterfly curls/tricep dips-all but the last with 5 lb weights or heavier. For legs we can do 3 sets of 10 lunges/plies/dead lifts/side leg lifts. You in? We need to check in on Sunday night and report how we did. Next challenge is for you to set up :) TTYL

Poor Skye. It is very easy for the vet to say don't worry, but you know when it is not normal when you dog starts acting like that out of the blue. I hope she relaxes a bit for you.
Our old dog Tootsie had a lot of anxiety issues as well. I could not figure it out. She would go behind the couch and just shake and whine like something really scary just happened, when nothing happened. We got her as a 8 week old puppy and nothing bad ever happened to her (nothing that we know of before we got her) but she was the biggest baby I ever knew. I always said it was because she was born on Halloween. LOL When our older dog Sugar died, there were parts of the house that Tootsie would not go by, they were the spots that Sugar usually laid in. Tootsie would just stare at the spots and freak out and start backing up. When we would go for our walks, there was one street that she refused to go down... would just freak out and back out of her collar. I could not even drag her down it.
If you made a buzzing sound like a bee she would just freak out. I really miss her!

I am down for a challenge for sure. I really need a push to get in the exercise. We can come up with a daily and weekly challenge. Lets do this.
Have a great day!

Toni

Glad Claudia is ok! I had to take Skye into the Vet on Monday as she went behind our bed Sunday night and still would not come out in the morning. I pulled the mattress off and one of the box springs and she just scooted under the other one. Since I was by then out of time to get her I went to work and then called and woke up my hubby to coax her out. The Vet said she is in good health and it must be anxiety of some sort but we have had no changes to anything lately so we don't know what to make of it. She is eating, drinking and pottying just fine so the Vet said to just keep to our rountine and try not to worry-yeah right!! She also will just carry a toy around crying-can't figure it out. Been doing ok on the eating but not great and besides my walks with Skye no real increase in exercise. Anyone up for a challenge of sorts? Like logging so many miles a day/week? Including certain strength exercises and how many sets of each to do all week? Let's figure out something good and meet our goal together :) I need help! Ok time to get going to the house-gotta walk that crazy dog it seems to be one of the things that makes her happy these last few days. Take care all

Good Monday Morning!
Hope you had a great weekend? We had tremendous winds and pouring rain all weekend. Put a damper in my hiking plans. I did get in extra steps on Saturday though. Felt good to be out and about and moving. Sunday I had to make a poodle skirt for my granddaughter for her sock hop this Friday. Do didn't get in as much. I did however do some dancing, high steps and got on the elliptical for a short while. Wasn't enough for the food I stuck in my mouth though. Not sure what was going on yesterday, but last night my tummy was telling me how bad I did. Still upset this morning. Have to go into work early because they are working on the computers and I have to let them in. Hopefully will have one computer that I will be able to use to get some work done.
Vet called me at 8:00 last night, scared me, they don't usually make called late unless it is an emergency. We had to take Claudia to get her blood work done for her thyroid, I was afraid that they may be giving her too much thyroid cause now she is hungry all the time and has too much energy (if that makes sense). Turns out I was right, he wanted to make sure we cut down her thyroid right away. Thank goodness, I was afraid maybe something else was turning up in the blood work now.
Well have a great day! and lets all take a few extra steps and a few less bites today! Together we can do this!

Toni

Snow is not something I have to worry about now that we are living in San Antonio, Texas but I do miss it! I think I will take Skye on the trail walk this weekend as well. Its 2 miles and not too hilly, we have the option of adding an additional 2 miles now that they have finished off the new trail. Thanks for the great idea Toni! I try to bring the dog whenever I can as she so enjoys the fresh air and the exercise which she does not get enough of during the work week. I take her on a quick 1/4 to 1/2 mile walk after work each day and she gets so mad if I don't take her! This week has been a little crazy at work-not hard mind you, just wierd as my team is in Houston for meetings and I'm here covering all the other stuff that comes up. So glad I am down to a few hours today and then its FRIDAY!! YEAH!!!!! Take care all and keep it moving!

Good Morning!
That sounds like a solid plan to me. I also cut my diet pepsi down to one a day. I blew it yesterday and ordered a sandwich from Jimmy Johns. I usually order it as an unwich with no mayo, but went all the way with everything... ugh.

I do like this tracker, it makes me want to get up and move a little more each day. I want to reach my daily goals and each day I increase them by a little bit. It is amazing how being able to see actual progress being recorded and motivate you.

Hope the week is going well for everyone so far. We are on the down hill side of the week, and time to push a little harder. I am planning a hike this weekend. Not sure if it will be up at Spooner lake or up to the Water fall, Spooner is a 2.5 mile hike around the lake. With ups and downs and a nice climb at the end. The water fall is straight up all the way, but a shorter distance. Who knows maybe will do one on Saturday and the other on Sunday... I will have to see what it is like at Spooner, if they have any snow. I know we have not really got any to speak of this year.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!!

Toni

Sounds like some healthy choices for your superbowl. We made a velveeta dip with rotel and taco meat mixed in which was delicious! I portioned out 10 chips with a little dip in each :) I also made spice rubbed chicken breasts which turned out wonderful and since they are not bad for me I ate most of it and put the rest in a baggie for later in the week. This week my goal is to remove 1 of my diet dr peppers I have and drink a water instead-ultimate goal is to only have 1 a day (in the morning instead of coffee). I will also limit myself to one small portion treat instead of just grabbing a cookie here and a snack size snickers there-really plan it out and enjoy it and then no more. In addition to the walk with Skye, I will add 10 minutes on the mini trampoline and strength exercise and ab work 3 days this week. I also need to set a weigh in day and stick with it. When are you weighing in? Good luck to us all this week and lets do something fun and special just for us! Take care

Good Morning!
I have this cold now. Have gone all season so far with everyone around me getting sick and me lucking out. Well looks like it ran out....LOL While it is bothersome and all I want to do is sleep. It is not as bad as it could be. I will make sure to get the rest needed to get over this quickly so I can get moving. I got the Sparkpeople activity tracker in the mail this weekend so I can hold myself accountable and monitor my activity. Problem is that it is not working and now I have to wait for tech support to get in touch with me. the USB point is defective. Wont stop me from moving though.
Kerrie I am sorry to hear about Teddie. I know how hard that is. They never really are gone. There is always something that shows they are with us all the time. I am glad you got Skye to help fill the void and take you for walks :-)
Claudia has been on the thyroid meds for a couple weeks now and man what a difference. She paces around the house like she is bored. She seems to have found this abundant amount of energy...LOL I will use that to my advantage and go for more walks with her.
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. Super Bowl Sunday at that. Try to eat healthier snacks. We are doing a black bean dip with organic rice and bean chips. Tequilla Lime chicken wings.

Not long winded at all Toni-love to hear what you have going on. Your right though, you need to cut back on those work ours and you the extra time for you. I bet you miss your son-have you been out to San Diego to visit him yet? I can't believe your granddaughter is already 8!! Glad you get to see her often and form that bond. We have a new furbaby-came into our lives in 2012 - 3 months after my sweet, sweet pomeranian Teddie passed away after 13 years with us! She was my shadow and boy was/is that so hard!! I will always think of her fondly and know she will be waiting for me at the Rainbow bridge when I get there! Skye is a Siberian Husky so talk about a drastic change in activity! She likes the walks and I'm trying to take her a little further each week-she could go for miles-me, not so much! Hope everyone has a happy evening and we will "chat" again soon.

Good Morning!
Hope everyone's week is going well so far. We made it through Monday, and picked up the pieces on Tuesday and it is all down hill from here!
What have I been up too? So Many changes in my life in these past few years. Some good and some bad. I have changed jobs, same kind of work, and still working the 10-12 hour days. (terrible habit I have). I usually work 60+ hours a week. Trying to cut down thought, need to make time to take care of myself. Just hired a new girl at work, and once I get her trained (if she stays) I should be able to cut my hours at work and get to work on me more. Kids are all grown, My baby moved to San Diego and is doing great. It suits him to a T. My oldest got full custody of my granddaughter and that was a whole messy mess. But things are smoothing out now a little. She is 8 now if you can believe it? She is growing up way to fast. She is a very important part of my life. We do a lot together all the time. Hubby has gone through some health issues that have put a little strain on us, but is getting better now and things are mellowing out there as well.
My girls (Claudia and Missy) are doing great. Still as young at heart as ever and keep us on our toes. Will be getting back out and walking them more often. Head up and do some hikes at the lake. It is time to get back on track.
The funny thing is I see myself when I was super active and walking, hiking and biking everywhere. I can feel how I felt when I did it, I know I can do it, but I just can not seem to get the energy to take the first step. I need a big push! I do still bike to work all the time when the weather allows. That is one thing I make myself do.
So this was a bit long winded, sorry.
Hope everyone has a absolutely wonderful day!

Toni

Toni-really happy to have you back. There are a handful of people who I really bonded with on here those years ago and this page has them all and I can only hope that seeing you back here now along with Neraus and Starlight will be the kicker we all need to gain the support and friendship it takes to be accountable and have success. We are able to hold each other up through the good times and bad-through the fruit AND the chocolate binges :) So what in the world has everyone been up to since last we chatted? I am now settled in our new house (new meaning 3 years ago this April) in San Antonio, Texas-miss Oklahoma but not as home sick as I was when we first moved here-I'm even originally from San Antonio-born and raised my first 21 years of life but after 16 years in Oklahoma it was tough leaving. My son is still living at home with us but at 24 he pays us rent and all his own bills but somehow I keep finding his laundry in our hampers to do - LOL Daughter is 27 now and married 4 years this March and currently trying to get pregant! I CAN'T WAIT TO BE A GRANDMA!!! Ok time for you all to catch me up emoticon

Just a quick "good morning" to you all! I hope everyone has a healthy, happy Tuesday and don't forget to get up each hour from those desks or chairs and move for 5 minutes-walk the halls, shut the office door and do squats, plie's whatever you can squeeze in :) TTYL

Ok so I joined the 30 day challenge on here and I'm suppose to tell at least 1 person my goal-you guys are the ones :) My goal is to lose 1 lb a week all year long which would make me 52 lbs lighter come 2016 and only 10 lbs from my goal! I will cut back on portions and increase my exercise along the way to keep the loss happening (I know its usually easier in the beginning and the more you lose the harder the last bit comes off). Please wish me well on this 2015 journey and heck - join me if you can :)

How funny Starlight I was also successful on WW but I thought "oh I got this program down and don't need to spend all that $ anymore"- well slowly but surely the weight creeps back on as I slacked off on journaling and not being held accountable. I think its important to have a support team and people that hold you accountable for how you are doing or what you are NOT doing!! Let's check in on each other (and any others who would like to join in) each week to see how we are doing and feeling. Keep up the good work and lets make 2015 the year we get healthy!!

That 2 lb weight loss was back in 2012 :( I am ready to be real with myself and work in baby steps to make better drink, food and exercise choices in 2015. I figure if I can just lose 1 lb a week then by 2016 I'll be 52 lbs lighter and only 10 lbs away from my goal! I will never cut our any food group or my favorite foods-I'm just going to limit my intake of the high fat/high calorie ones :) Hope to "chat" with you more Starlight.

Where is everyone hiding?

I lost 2 pounds this week and I'm at 16.5 since the end of December. I have had two high points days in a row this weekend, so the rest of this week I'll have to really be accountable for what I'm eating and make sure to write everything down.

I did 6 days of working out and I took 2 days off so its back at it tomorrow. I am encorporating running intervals into my routine and I hope to be able to run a 5K by summer.

I hope everyone is doing well and having a great weekend. TTYL

Annie glad the Adkins is working for you and helping with your energy level. I just had a niece who had a baby on December 31, so I know its great seeing that next generation born. My daughter and new son-in-law are going to wait a few years before they start trying to have a family which I think is great, its important to have some time as a couple. My hubby and I had kids right away so we are having our couple time now :)

I lost 3.4 pounds this week so that more then makes up for the gain of .2 last week. I am averaging 2.5 pounds a week so I'm very pleased with my progress. I have been adding in exercise this week and I'm telling you Kathy Smith is kicking my fanny!! I was so sore the other day it was rough just lifting myself off the potty!! LOL

Made a meatloaf for dinner and boy is it smelling yummy! Hope everyone is having a great start to thier week-TTYL

Hi Kerrie, Kellianne, Jules and all!

Ok done with my two crazy busy weeks....had a baby shower for my niece yesterday - so now all is calming down. Our youngest daughter asked what we were doing next weekend and I was like NOTHING, I am doing nothing. I am going to get my nails done, church, grocery shopping and nothing else! Best thing of all it is a long weekend for us - Presidents Day is a holiday for us..strange huh!

Ok I actually starting on Atkins - decided I would give it a try to see how it would be for me with my digestive issues...and heck when I follow it to a tee - it is amazing how good I feel! I don't have any stomach issues whatsoever...during the day or at night.....it was almost refreshing to wake up and feel good :).

So my goals for this week are to get back to tracking my food, WI on Tuesday and begin my running again.

What's your goals for this week?

Hugs to all!

Annie

Hey Annie good to hear from you. Sorry its been so crazy for you at work, makes it hard to focus attention on yourself. Hope you enjoy the visit with your kids.

I was up .2 at my weigh in but I'll take that considering I had a rough week with my snacking. I think the next big hurdle for me will be cutting back and eventually out the diet dr. peppers. Right now I'm drinking them like water (6 to 7 cans a day)!! Now when I go workout I drink only water. I do love the peach mango green tea from crystal light so I need to start stocking up on that.

Take care all and have a great week. TTYL

Hello all!

Ok for some reason I don't get notifications that there has been a post here....so I don't come thinking you all might be off having fun somewhere :).

This last week has been crazy busy at work and have had something going on every night this week. So unlike me....I don't ever have things going on at night. SO glad it is the weekend and I don't really have any plans for this weekend - 2 of our boys will be home tonight thru tomorrow, so getting ready for them :).

taking care of myself...nope....no exercise, not eating good.....no wonder I am so tired! So using my down time this weekend to get myself into a groove and plan.

Hugs to all!

Annie

Sounds like you have allergies Kellianne. I suffer with bad sinus issues whenever the mold is high, although since moving to San Antonio my allergies have been much better then they were in Oklahoma. I have not heard anything about the job yet but have put in for 4 more jobs that sound pretty good (one is very close to what I do). I just wish something would give-either the house selling or finding a job. I just keep praying for the right people to come along on all fronts, God will be done! On the positive side my daughter and new son-in-law are buying their first home and closing on the 17th-so happy for them and can't wait to go visit.

Took today as my rest day from exercise as my legs and buns are still pretty sore from the Kathy Smith workout on Tuesday. Tomorrow I think I will do the Jillian Michaels Kettlebell workout and walk a mile or two at the park that is close to my Weight Watchers meeting. Then I'm going over to my Mom and Dads to help my Mom take down her Christmas decorations (I didn't realize they still had them up til last Friday. My Mom said she has just been too tired to get out all the boxes and take everything down). So since I have the time and energy I feel I should go help.

Hope you are all doing well and getting in some nice exercise and yummy healthy food. If anyone has been trying new healthy recipes please share! I made a great smoothie the other morning out of blueberries, bananas, honey greek yogury, 1% milk and a little shaved ice. YUMMY!! TTYL

Jules - way to go on your workouts and good for you for kicking it up a notch. Good luck on the strength training. I'm looking at my flabby arms and thinking I need to get the weights out and get busy.

Kerrie - Still hoping you will hear good news. Well done on your workouts. Sounds like you are staying dedicated. My daughter enjoyed a very peaceful weekend without her little brother around to bug her. She did her usual routine of sitting on the computer all day for the most part. Although, she did visit a friend one afternoon. She just texted me about a party this weekend. Yikes! Waiting to hear the details on that one.

As far as my fitness goes, it's still pretty much just walking the dogs. The sinus headaches have been better, but only because I've been taking a sinus medication whenever I feel the pressure start to build. *Sigh* really hate taking medications. But, it can't be helped I guess. Was afraid I was coming down with the stomach flu Tuesday night. My stomach was cramping and I was really nauseated. My poor husband came home from work and asked what was for dinner. When I turned green he quickly said never mind and made a pizza for him and the kids. I do love that man. Anyway, Wednesday dawned with my feeling better (just slightly queasy off and on). So, I'm thankful that the virus that's been going around seems to have stayed away.

Now that I've shared more information that any of your probably wanted to hear. I'm off to finish up some things before I have to pick my son up from the school dance he was helping at.

Keep Sparking!

Hey Jules they said they would know in the next week or two on the job. The more I think about how the interview ended the more I think I won't get chosen. They never even talked/asked about salary or talked about benefits. I researched the company ahead of time and thats how I know they have great benefits. Oh well I am happy with getting the face to face interview expierence no matter what.

As far as the workouts go, I have done a workout for 3 days in a row now. I walked on the TM for 50 minutes Monday (with hills and a 3 min run session, did 3 miles), did a Kathy Smith DVD on Tuesday (boy did she do a ton of squats and lunges-I am sore) and today back to the 50 minutes on the TM doing 2.75 miles no running this time-I'm too sore from Tuesday for that. Tomorrow I will either walk up to the gym and do the bike or do an easier DVD at home.

Kellianne hope you are feeling back to 100% and able to get back to long walks with the dogs. What did your daughter do while your son was off at winter camp?

Where is Annie, Neraus and Toni? Miss you guys and hope everything is going well so far this year. Can you guys believe its already Febuary? You know what I love about WW? That I can still have candy as long as I make room for it in my day-and of course its a mini musketeers but YUMMY!! :) Take care all my Sparkbuddies TTYL

Kerrie - fingers are crossed for you! Keep us posted. Any idea on how soon you'll hear?

Kelli - Sinus issues are such a PAIN. Literally. Hope this week is better. And it's been a wierd winter for everyone, from what I've heard.

Hit the gym with hubby at 6:30 this morning - 30 min on the elliptical, burned about 180 calories (based on the mileage of 1.81 mile rather than the machine's calorie count, as they seem to overestimate calorie burns). Started off slow and easy with the intent to keep it that way but as I warmed up felt like pushing a little. It was nice to feel that desire - it's been pretty absent lately.

Plan for this week is to try to make it to the gym with hubby each of the following weekmornings, and maybe get a day or two of ST in on my own as well.

What're your plans for the week? More likely you'll do it if you plan it ahead of time...

Kerrie - Marathon Oil sounds like a wonderful opportunity. Hope it works out. I know the feeling about having plenty of things to get you moving in the workout area. But, it seems what I really need is a mechanized boot to get me moving. Somebody needs to invent one of those. :)

Jules - good to hear from you. Looking forward to reading your blog.

Realized as I checked in today that I haven't posted since January 19. So bad. Have still been walking, but not much else. Was dealing with some pretty horrific sinus headaches last week. The pressure pretty much shut me down as far as exercising goes. The weather has been so taciturn - cold for a few days, then windy and hot. Feels like summer and it's supposed to be winter. Can't figure out what's up with that.

My son got back from winter camp yesterday. Three days at Hume Lake Christian Camps snowboarding, playing paintball, sledding, enjoying the snow, and some Bible teaching thrown in as well. He is scraped and bruised from all the physical activity, but happy as a clam about his adventures. Love that he was able to go.

Keep Sparking all!

Hey Jules so good to "hear" from you!1 I will go check out your blog before I log off of here. I think we have all been hit and miss lately so we are all in this together right?? No one ever said getting into healthier habits was easy, just that it would be worth it in the long run.

Kellianne so sorry you had a rough grief day-you were very blessed to have a Mom you felt so close to!! I too have a wonderful Mom and I am very lucky she is still with me and doing well. My Dad is doing well too even though he will not admit his age of 74 and still works full time. Sure wish we could convince him to retire. My parents celebrate thier 50th wedding anniversary this August and my hubby and I hit 25 in March.

Annie how did the FitTV workout go? We use to have that too but I don't think we have the same package here that we had in Oklahoma. Maybe once we get into a house I will look at adding that back. I have PLENTY of DVD's though and the Xbox Kinect with the different dance and workout games so there really is plenty of workouts for me to do, so how do I keep finding the excuses to not workout????

Had another interview today, this time with Marathon Oil and boy do I want this job!! It matches up so well with what I did for Whirlpool and has amazing benefits. I really want to get back to college and get my degree and they have education reimbursment so I'm super excited about that. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Also went to my Weight Watchers meeting today and I've lost a total of 11 pounds since Dec. 30th-I'll take that!! I had a rough week last week but I did not use all my extra points they give us so must not have been as bad as I thought.

Hope you are all doing well and feeling good. Anybody have some fun vacation plans upcoming? I won't have vacation for a while with a new job the next step for me. TTYL

Ok, another country heard from. Got a post on my page saying "Come back, we need you!..." LOL and thought I'd check in.

Yeah, I've been pretty MIA myself for far too long. Got a blog up that explains a bit about what's going on with me.

SO - worked out on the elliptical yesterday and did strength training and about 20 min on the treadmill today - walking. Running isn't an option for me right now - got some foot and leg issues from my job (standing in place on concrete for 6 hours at a time) that I have to try to fix first. But, it's a start, right?

Oh, and don't even TALK to me about the food....! Anyway, emoticon to you all. I'll try to pop in regularly as well as blog so I'll slowly catch up with ya'll.

Annie - Thanks for the encouragement. So sorry to hear your dad isn't doing so well. I really do miss my mom every day and wouldn't have it any other way. She was an amazing lady and probably the most influential person of my life. But, there are days where I just feel knocked to the ground with grief. Monday was one of those days.

Was not expecting to walk the dogs today. We had rain predicted but it turned out to be sunny, if a little chilly. So, off I went with the pups for our usual foray. Hoping to challenge my husband on the Wii this evening to burn some extra calories. I made a decadent peanut butter brownie pie last night for hubby's birthday that needs to be worked off.

LOL Kerrie on the looking easy workouts! It's just like the Biggest Loser for Wii...omg I do the beginner and almost die! I am going to start doing a workout in the morning - we have On Demand TV and there is an exercise channel....then I don't have to go outside..no excuses right!

Food has been much better this week - but still is very hard....and as my husband says, who said it was going to be easy...OH SHUT UP would you!

Hugs to you KelliAnne - my mom's been gone for going on 12 years....there are still times that I miss her so much it hurts. My dad has really gone down hill in the last year and it's weird, I keep having dreams that my mom is alive and we go visit dad at the nursing home....it's freaky! Maybe it's because everytime I go see dad I yell to my mom to come take dad with her....he needs to be at peace.

Have a great day all - walking does wonders for the spirit!

Kerrie - good for you on getting in those workouts. Keep going girl! I love, love, LOVE good food. And, I crave it. But, I also pay for it later when my body goes into "what did you feed me?" shock. Sometimes, though, it's worth it.

Never got around to doing much more than walking the dogs yesterday. Was in a funk emotionally and close to tears all day. Really missing my mom. *sigh* Thankfully, being back to my regular routine of getting kids to school, hubby to work, and me off to church really helped today. Walked the dog and just spent 25 minutes playing "Just Dance 3" with my guy. His birthday is tomorrow. Gotta figure out something special to do for him. His birthday and Christmas kind of got wrapped together with a big ticket item he wanted.

Keep sparking all!

Annie thats fantastic that you can still run most of 1.5 miles!! That just proves that the hard work you put in is still with you. I so agree with you on cutting back on the yummy foods-its freaking hard!! I always laugh when people say fat just does'nt taste good to them anymore, I will eat smaller portions and watch what I eat, but something tells me when I do splurge on a cheesecake or pizza it will taste WONDERFUL!! :)

Kellianne hope you and hubby enjoyed your alone time!! It is both great and sad when the kids reach the age when they are away from home more then there.

I have worked out the last 2 nights for 30 minutes a time. I did workouts from Shape and Fitness magazine that looked easy (one had 5 moves and the other have 10) that you repeat through 2 or 3 times with bursts of cardio between sets. Well LOOKING easy is NOT the same thing as BEING easy!! :) Today my arms are sore from the tricep dips and push ups. On the plus side I did 30 man style push ups so that is good!! I use to be able to do 50 without stoppng so there is my goal.

Ok time to get some healthy lunch going - TTYL

Kerrie - Sounds like you are doing great on the weight loss. So many days, I want to sit on the couch and veg rather than going for a walk, but I always feel better after the walk. Can't say the same for the time spent on the couch.

Annie - WTG on your run. That's pretty awesome. Sounds like you are well on your way to that 5K already.

Spent yesterday fighting a cold but feeling better today and got out to walk the dogs. Just trying to keep moving. Happy Sunday all!

Going to enjoy some time off tomorrow with my hubby. Looks like the kiddos will both be off on their own little adventures.

Hi Kerrie and Kellianne!

That's ok Kellianne...that's me too :). As long as we keep coming back! Hey a 5 pound gain over the holidays is not bad at all!

Kerrie....ok my intentions were there and I didn't do a thing! I walked the dogs every day and one night I made them run with me. I was actually quite surprised, I did a run and I thought I'll just see how far I could run and I actually ran most of the way - which is about 1.5 miles.

NOt much else new - wish I could get my food in control...I know what I need to do, it's a matter of doing it...and why is that so flipping hard?

Hugs to both of you!

Annie

Well hello Kellianne and welcome back :) Sounds like you had a great holiday season and got some great gifts that will come in handy on the healthy lifestyle journey!

Annie good for you on starting back on the C25K-lets do this thing!! I had a rough week with the motivation to exercise last week so I am back to the W1D1 on the program, but even if I have to start and restart it will happen for me this year. I think I just need to bite the bullet and sign up for a 5K and then I will have a time frame for doing the program.

My first weigh in went great down 5 pounds!! This week was down 1.8 which is more the normal weight loss amount on the program, and like I said it would have been higher had I chosen to get up off the couch and exercise. Once I get the eating AND exercise going I figure I will lose between 2 and 3 pounds a week and that is my goal!! So that means by July 4th I could be to my goal weight or at least so close I can taste it!! Of course the hard part is maintaining the good habits you set when losing the weight and not getting distracted by life!!

Hope you guys had a good weekend and here's to a great week!! TTYL

Kellianne...otherwise known as MIA...reporting in. Somehow found five lbs over the holidays (no idea how that happened...only had about six dozen cookies, millionsof pieces of chocolate, and an unnamed amount of good food). But, I'm trying to find the motivation to be and stay more active. Got Just Dance 3 for the Wii for Christmas. It's got a Just Sweat mode that I've been using to trying and up the calorie burn. It's been a lot of fun. That with the usual dog walks hopefully means some weight loss soon. Although, I have to say, my husband and my son have been enjoying it way more than I have. Those two have played for a couple of hours at a time some days. Who knew?

I'll try my best to keep up with the group on posts. You'd think with a new computer I'd posting more instead of less. Yikes!

Hope you all are well and in the fitness spirit! Keep sparking!

Hi Kerrie!

Great job on the TM! I am going to start the C25K program as well....have to get back up to the running mode.

All the kids are back to school, so back to a normal house again. We packed up all the Christmas stuff yesterday - feels nice to get the house all cleaned up....and get rid of all the Christmas clutter :).

Working out tonight, will do my day 1 of C25k.

So far this year I have 5 miles on the TM, my goal is to get 35 this month and work up from there. I am doing the C25K again and today was day 1 and it was tough for me to do the 60 second runs. The first 3 were not bad but the last 3 were killer!! If things don't get easier by the 3rd run this week I will do week one for 2 weeks then move on. My weigh in day is Friday and I'll be curious how I did.

TTYL and lets keep up the healthy eating going!!

Here I am Annie!! You are right, the holidays are over and its time to get rid of the last of the treats and stock our pantries and fridges with the good healthy food!! I'm going to WW now (a birthday gift from hubby) so I have been studying my books the last few days and staying within my points range. I lost 45 pounds 8 years ago but didn't stick it out to become a lifetime member and slowly gained the weight back. This time I'm sticking it out until I'm a lifetimer and then the meetings are free and I will only weigh in once a month.

Toni, Neraus, Speigy and Kellianne hope you guys had a great holiday season and are planning on coming back to chat with us soon-the more we have here encouraging and motivating each other the better. Love to all and heres to a happy, healthy 2012!!

We have been lucky so far with the house because my husband took a great job here in San Antonio so we are not struggling to pay both rent and mortgage, but we can't keep it up indefinetly. The biggest thing concerning me is the lack of a job (not even a call for an interview)!!

Yesterday was my 44th birthday and I really believe that this is going to be the year it all comes together for me-I WILL find a great job and we will sell our house and get our San Antonio home!! My hubby and son took me to Logans steak house and I am proud to say I came home with 1/2 for lunch tomorrow. This is our year you guys!! We can make the change to a healthier life right now!! I don't care if I am ever a size 2 or even 5 for that matter, I just want to FEEL good.

Take care all and keep smiling :)

Yes home selling is for the birds right now! We sold our home pretty quickly, but we sure took a loss on it....and it wasn't a short sale, so we still have a loan we are paying on it. I figure we will be able to take a loss write off on it for about 3 years....LOL! Such is life!

Yes I am ready and like I said to another friend....it's not so much the weightloss, I just want to feel like I can move easier. Yeah we can do this Kerrie!

I have already noticed quite a benefit of not smoking. I have asthma and had been put on a maintenance inhaler about a month before I quit smoking. I was using that twice a day as directed and then also would use my rescue inhaler about once a day....if not twice. I could never walk or do anything outisde in the cold weather without having my rescue inhaler with me. I now only do my maintenance inhaler once a day and my rescue inhaler....well it's around but I don't use it....and amazingly I don't even need it after taking the dogs on a walk. That is quite a freedom, to know I don't have to have that thing basically tied to me :).

I went to college in Seguin...just east of you in San Antonio....have many great memories from Texas and have some awesome forever friends down that way :).

Ok off to get ready for work.

Have a great day :).

Hello to everyone else out there!

Annie
