I paid about $30 for my stability ball from gofit.net. Walmart has stability balls ranging from $20 to $25. I have a 75cm ball because I am 6'0. Your height is going to determine how much you spend on a stability ball. You will need a 55 cm ball if you are 5' to 5'55, 65cm if you are 5'-6' to 6', and 75cm if you are 6' feet and over. I hope this help you.

ANNYSTON1~You're CERTAINLY not alone! I can't TELL you how much weight I've lost, how great I feel, only to start eating crap again & gaining it all back & more! Glad you're talking about it at this juncture, rather than later.
Re: ball, you might try freecycle (freecycle.org) or craigslist (free section) to see if anyone is getting rid of one. It might cost you a drive to their place to get it, but....hopefully right in your own town!
Good luck....& keep posting before you eat!!!

Question: How much does a stability ball run?

I'm a single mom and my budget is pretty tight after the holidays. If they are expensive does anyone have an idea of how I can get by without one? Just curious.

Anywhoo...

I get on this thing like once a week, when I'm feeling really crappy and decide I want to do something. Then on the other days I just give up and don't care that I've eaten 6 pieces of fudge and half a pizza. I lost almost 30 lbs after I had my daughter and almost made it back to pre-pregnancy weight, but I'm starting to gain and my new size 9's are getting a little too tight.

Why can't I stay motivated?
When I was working out before I felt great! Energy, stamina, and the drive to go the the gym 6 days a week. Now I have an elliptical in my house... in my room! And I manage to walk by it every day and not use it. I've had it for over 2 weeks and used it a total of 3 times. None of which were in the past week.

Anyone have any ideas? Maybe I should start putting signs all over the house. Motivational stuff that will get me going. Hmm... hopefully the new year brings new thinking cuz this being down all the time is really a buzz kill. If I can lose another 25 lbs I'll be in great shape. Which means I'm half way there. I CAN DO IT!!!!

Good luck everyone~

CASSANDRA_WYNN~Exactly right...you DON'T want to throw away all your hard work. As I myself have done many times (hence, yo-yo) & many others I'm sure...it's OH so painful to return back where we were & WORSE! You can do this......just keep posting & putting one foot in front of the other. And do just what you're doing-- making plans for each day!

Don't forget, all, that we don't have to wait for January 3rd to get a jump start on bootcamp, or wait for January 1st to start our resolutions...instead, let's have a revolution, building up to the New Year! Try to get in at least two workouts before bootcamp starts on Sunday; I bet we can do it! A ten minute walk, a video online, anything can count for your workout!

Hey Gorgeous Diva's & Guys!!!

Okay soooo this was a rough holiday for me, I'll be honest. I mean dealing with my mom's disease & then dealing with my cancer has been rough. I was very emotional last week & really sad my mom couldn't come down for the holidays. Despite me working out 6 days last week, I still did horribe with me eating the Wednesday-Sunday. It took Eric sitting down & talking with me & letting me know that he didn't want to see me throw all of my hard work out of the window. I am off for 2 weeks from work & I spent all of last week at home!!!

He told me that he didn't want to see me eat myself back to where I was at, he told me I made tooooo much progress to throw it out the window. He asked me to put myself first this week & go do something nice for myself this week. He told me it's time for me to put myself first. I can't change my Circumstances but I can change my THINKING!! So I told myself to just GET OVER IT & Move on!!! So each day this week I am doing something for me!!

Today I am going to go get a pedicure, tomorrow going to the salon, Wed. going to meet a friend for lunch & hopefully on Thurs. & Fri. I can spend time with friends! I need to not let weight hold me back from getting out & stop sitting in the house!! I have a lot of life to LIVE & that's what I am going to do, even if I have to do it by MYSELF!!! I am going to spend some quality time with MYSELF & stop letting weight or people hold me back from getting out & enjoying MY Life!!

Not sure how well I'll be able to do in the Body Bootcamp, but I'm going to give it my best shot.

I can't do many exercises because of the problems I am having with chronic pain. I am however going to strive to walk every day, even if just for 10 minutes.

Figure out where you want to be, then work backwards from there.

Hey everyone! I'm soooooooooo ready for this challenge to start! I have a family wedding in June and although I know I won't reach my goal by then, I want to be at least 50lbs smaller than I currently am, so this will give me the jump start that I need.

Cass, I tip my hat to you...I think you did a good job of eating and exercising over the holidays. I think YOU had more control than you give yourself credit for. I, too, chewed away at a pie over the holidays, but I didn't exercise and I didn't gain just a mere pound, and I didn't do a lot of stuff I should have...but...I will now.

Today I'm back on track and am looking forward to the start of this challenge and having teammates like you on the team!

Hey Team!!

Hope everyone had a great holiday!!

I have a confession, I ate over 4 days- half a pecan pie!! emoticon Yeah, I am soooooo ashamed, each day I would have 1 small slice, then the next day another slice. I did workout on Xmas Eve, Xmas Day & today but not happy for letting the food control me. I just felt like I really didn't exercise (food) self-control over the holidays.

I did gain 1 pound over the holidays, guess it could be worse. Not to mention, I have been drinking my calories not alcohol but with Pepsi- emoticon & Sweet Tea!! I also have been indulging a little tooo much in breads also. AGGGGGGGHHHHHHH....Okay I will make the rest of my day better with my eating.

WOOOOOOOSSSSSSSAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! Going to try & relax & not be tooo hard on myself! emoticon

Hi everyone,

This is just what I needed. I seem to be finding a cavelcade of excuses when it comes to working out and tracking my calories. I don't have time, I'm tired, and so on and so on.

Very excited to get started just have to get a stability ball and weights.

Looking forward to starting this challenge. I've been working with a trainer for 2 months (1.5 hours per week) and the scale hasn't budged, but inches have. I suppose it's good that I haven't gained over the holidays, but I really need to kick things up a notch or 2.

As they said you have to wait until closer to the New Year for the videos.
Good morning everyone. I am looking forward to the bootcamp also. Now is the day to get back on track for me. I was not off track too far so it will not be to difficult. I have my journal and pen in hand to record everything as well.

Good luck everyone!

I was already thinking of creating a Bootcamp on my own and here SP came up with one for me. I'm spending this week psyching myself up for a 4 week effort while dodging the Christmas goodies floating around my world.

Where are the fitness videos to preview? All I can find are the old bootcamp from last year.

If you haven't got a smile on your face and laughter in your heart, then you are just a sour old fart!

Greetings team! I've previewed the fitness videos and just ordered my stability ball which Amazon says will be delivered right around Dec. 31st along with the Gazelle I ordered too. Between those two and my copy of the Spark....I should be all set!
