Fitbit customer service has been very good to work with also. They helped with a clip also and I received it in three days.

After about 6 month of use, the clip for my Fitbit One broke. The hard tip on the clip fell off. I contacted Customer Service via the website and two days I had a new replacement clip in my hands for no charge. That level of service impressed me greatly.

Well, after a week of being the very happy owner of a Fitbit One, it stopped syncing with the smartphone and then the laptop. It took 2 days of back and forth emails with customer support, but we finally solved the problem! They were very helpful!

Usually when something computer/technology related goes wrong, I hold the offending object out to my husband and ask him to take care of it. Not this time! The process was simple enough that I could take care of it myself, which makes me feel pretty awesome :)

I've had my Fitbit Ultra since 2012. After the first year (earlier this year) the plastic casing cracked and came apart from the device. I contacted customer service. After supplying some information, I had a new Fitbit within one week. I was very pleased with the customer support. Their attitude was "every step counts" so they wanted to make sure I got my replacement as soon as possible.

Fitbit support has been wonderful to me too. My Ultra started cracking at the hinge after 10months, after I sent pictures and info about where I purchased to support they sent me a new one. The replacement had me on a great healthy track until I washed and dryed it while attached to my pjs. I contacted support again and they very kindly sent me a new Fitbit One. Fitbits are expensive wonderful little gadgets that are a terrific motivator to keep healthy moving on track it is great that the product also has compassionate technical support. Thanks so much Fitbit!

I too experienced problems getting my Fitbit to sync wirelessly. I finally contacted customer service and they were awesome at assisting me. Once I was able to get my Fitbit to sync, the battery wouldn't hold a charge. They actually replaced my unit FREE! Excellent customer service Fitbit!!!!

I had trouble getting my Fitbitto sync up properly about a month ago. They responded promptly and gave me easy-to-follow instructions to fix my problem. Unfortunately it did not work. However, they followed up and stuck with it. It took a couple of days, but they got the job done. I was thrilled with the outstanding service they provided! They respond promptly and always follow-up to make sure you are satisfied and your problems are resolved. They have the best customer service I have ever experienced. I cannot say enough good things about them.

Fitbit is amazing, awesome and wonderful.

I lost my Fitbit Zip. I was so upset, and I know how I lost it. My GS drove my car and had an accident. Someone (who had a red light) pulled right in front of him. So I had a rental and was 'car shopping' - which is something I detest. I don't really like cars. But I find them a necessary evil.

I had my Zip in my pocket, which I don't usually do. Usually it's on my waistband. I had it in my pocket, had my purse in the trunk of the rental car so I didn't have to lug it with me. Put my keys in my pocket and looked, test drove. Got back in the rental. Got home. Got ready for a shower/bed and my Zip was not in my pocket. Definitely somewhere in a huge parking lot. There's no way to find it.

This was a couple of weeks ago. I decided to send an email to Fitbit to let them know how wonderful their product is, how it much it helped me move more, and lose weight. I told them what happened and that I would eventually buy another one. They responded right away - happy to hear my comments, sorry about the accident, and they would send me a complimentary Fitbit Zip. What other company would do that? I wrote to them because usually everyone hears the complaints. They need to hear about the 'good' that their product does also.

I'm happy as can be.

I find the One hard to clip even to my bra strap.
I almost lost the holder for it but sounds like I would
have to contact customer service.
Since buying my fitbit, I am more motivated to keep
up the steps.

I had already taken advantage of Fitbit's generous support policy to replace the original holder, and since I felt responsible for this loss, I felt it only right that I buy the replacement outright. Amazon has them $15 cheaper than my original.
I ordered it, and after it shipped, my beautiful bride found mine outside our garage, in tact, lanyard and all! I have no idea how it got from around my neck to the ground there.
I will have to wait to get the one I ordered, but I will return it for the $5 return shipping fee.
All in all, a happy ending.

I used to wear my ONE with a lanyard threaded through the holder, around my neck, like a necklace. That worked OK until I lost it Sunday on my walk...I retraced the steps yesterday but no luck finding it.

My FB dashboard/sync has been glitching lately; get html page for log in or just won't load, or has has even message me with 'no connection to the internet' (ha)
Eventually it works through the problem and will load,.... just wondering if it is the new format site and/or other's experience....

Fitbit dashboard working fine, but Spark syncing is not working. I guess it's Spark's problem. I did pilates and other floor exercises this morning so that limited my steps. I did do a 20 minute aerobic DVD.

Awesome customer service! My Ultra started coming apart, they sent me a new One. Can't say I like the One as well as the Ultra, smaller but bulkier. But it's working just fine and keeping me moving.

Customer service has been wonderful to me. I bought the Ultra last fall and it would not hold a charge. I emailed the company and they sent me a complete replacement. After 4 months it quit syncing. I contacted them and they sent a new docking station. Last month it completely quit syncing, but the computer icon showed it was working. The Fitbit would still take a charge and count steps, etc. After several emails specifying what I could and couldn't do with it, they sent me - a Fitbit One! I've never seen a company do so much for their customers! emoticon

What browser do you use? Have you tried clearing its cache/cookies?

They started a beta with the dashboard page, and with all the problems being reported about it, I'd not really seen many say it wouldn't load at all for them. Does your page load enough to see the top 'bar' of choices (Dashboard Log Community Premium ... and the gear to the right of your name? You can use the gear to choose the old dashboard for a while. But, if you're not able to load it at all, that's not going to help you.

They've been collecting feedback on the beta dashboard at:

fitbit.uservoice.com/forums/
190061-til
e-dash-beta

If you wanna see if that will load - maybe you'll find the others with the similar problems and click 'vote' on the issue :)

I have emailed customer support a number of times.. tried everything they suggested and still it is not up and running... they say it is on their end.. just wondering if anyone else is having issues with syncing their datat on the website and then being able to log into the site. I moved my dongle from the laptop to the desktop and it quit working. I should say that the desktop did not recognize it as being plugged in to a USB port. I tried it on my DD's laptop with the same problem. I tried it on my Mom's desktop with the same problem. I finally contacted customer service. They replied with the standard information on how to properly install a dongle and after I assured them that all the steps had been followed they offered me a complimentary replacement. I sent them a picture of the dongle with the case # and in the e-mail gave them my address & phone number. Now I wait.

Actually the 7000 steps sounds about right for 3 miles. Roughly one mile will yield in between 2000-2300 steps. Your old pedometer might have been giving you extra steps :)
Try walking for a short distance and count your steps. I think you will see that your FB is pretty accurate.

I am a new user of fitbit and find that I am not getting the same amount of steps on fitbit as I did with my pedometer. When it measures 3 miles I didn't get but 7000 or so steps. Seems strange and wondering if something is wrong?

I asked via email to Fitbit customer service and they said you can charge your fitbit one using the ipod plug to charge in the wall. You can plug your fitbit one dongle into the plug and it should charge without need of the computer. Hope this helps.

I've lost and found the One several times too. My mom found it in one of their beds when I stayed there to catch an early flight. She is 84 years old and didn't know what it was. I have not been able to use the new sleep band because my dongle broke in half and my charging piece went missing, have no idea where it went but am blaming my little naughty dog for now:) I had to break down and buy new accessories because there is no way to charge it or sync data without either of these. I think the dongle should still be covered by the warranty but not sure when I bought it for sure. The company was really great about it falling out of the sleep band so I guess we'll see.

@Raul,

Yes, it is really bulky and I have had to input my weight as 30 lbs less, to have the correct calorie burn.

I am debating on sending the Striiv back. I have to see what their return policy is.

But, on the other hand, I sure am aware of having it on, so maybe for me, it is a good thing.

I keep doing the little challenges and it motivates me a lot.

Isn't the STRIIV a little bulkier? Perhaps that might be better suited for your use. I still don't understand how the One is popping out of its protective sleeve. I am always having to fidget with it when I need to pull it out for a charging.
Anyhow I sure hope the replacement treats you better!

@Raul

On my bra ----

I figured that was the safest place since I lost the Ultra on my waist band even with a safety leash.

I bought a Striiv with a Mother's Day special and am wearing it witty a safety leash thru the key ring and a safety pin.

I,ve had to unjust the stride and put a lower weight than I am, but the distance and calories are perfect.

Where are you wearing your One? I wear mine on my belt and have never had it "pop" out of its protective sleeve. I wonder if your One is not rubbing against something that is causing it to "pop" out?
Good news on it being replaced!

I lost my fitbit one after only having it a couple of months. For some dumb reason it popped completely out of the rubber belt clip.

I have no idea how it happened.

They are going to replace it.

Any suggestions?

I never take it out of the rubber belt clip, other than to charge it. I am about to give up.

They did suggest I face it inward. I guess I will try that.
