Merry Christmas Eve Day!
It is a beautiful day here. I am in capri pants, Norm grilled a steak for dinner and I made Watergate salad that we had with it. It is difficult to get in the Christmas Spirit. I hope to when we go to the clubhouse later.

I am sure to pop in tomorrow but just in case, Merry Christmas to the friends I have made on this team!

Merry Christmas everyone. emoticon

Seems as though this will be the warmest Christmas we have ever had. May get to wear capris and maybe even shorts in the afternoon. That will be quite a change.

Morning!
Well, Christmas week is here already! I hope everyone is ready! I didn't have much to do so I'm ready!

Exercise class was down to only 3 this morning. So many here in the park have left to go celebrate Christmas home with family. Next week all will return and we will have more. Those of us that showed up did a 2 mile walk so my exercise is done for the day!

I didn't do any baking this year but we have had plenty of goodies at every turn. Although, I am taking my Cranberry Orange Ice Cream Pie and Strawberry Pretzel Dessert for Christmas Dinner in the Clubhouse but I don't expect to have any left to worry about eating.

I must admit I am loving the 70+ degree sunny day today and hope it holds for the whole week!

It's been a busy weekend for everyone, it looks like.

Today is cleaning for the end of the week and doing some laundry. Grands are coming over so we'll make cookies and send them home. I also have some cards for them to decorate. That should keep them occupied and happy.

Other than that, not a lot going on so have a fun day.

Hi Seesters. I got to make a Sam's Club run today between kids. It was a madhouse but I got in, got my few things and got out. They have good prices on fruit and I got my ham. Didn't get any gifts and only stopped by for two samples. Darn, the others were "busy" and I didn't get anything.

The kids enjoyed the movie. They love the series. I have seen them all except maybe the third one (it was on but I didn't pay attention) but only liked the old ones. They were space/cowboy films with good guys and bad guys and good-bad guys. After that because they were so popular, Lucas started making them mystical and full of lore. People did the same thing with Lord of the Rings. I'm sorry but they were not intended originally to be serious films but a fun romp with clear good guys/bad guys and they had "six shooters" strapped to themselves. They drove their space ships like hot rods. It was fun and happy.

Got to get my chicken off the bone. I love the roasted chickens. Haven't had one for a while. The kids are due home in a few minutes. have a great day.

We talked to Casey on the phone today. They are settling in with continued issues but they are all minor. He did say they have no Christmas spirit this year. No family or friends to celebrate with. They decided not to even put up a tree. I understand completely. With the better weather (and GA is just about the same as us) it doesn't feel like Christmas. I'm not in a festive mood myself. Our potluck on Christmas could be any other potluck. So to be honest, it will feel good to be done with it. I still will celebrate the birth of my Savior. Nothing can take away my joy in the Lord! It just doesn't feel like Santa and gifts!

Today is sunny and 65. But it is beautiful. We sat outside in chairs most of the afternoon. Norm and Nala are still outside but I came in to do some bill paying and to order new meds from my doctor.

WG - we have some friends that are so excited for Star Wars. I don't quite see what the fuss is all about but they have fun with it.

Hi Seesters. Sunny and cold here. I love the daylight. Air quality is toxic so I'm not going out much for sure.

PJ, I don't blame you for avoiding stores for a bit. I don't even like to go out until after New Years. i do need to pick up my food for Christmas. Everyone still brings food, but it is fun for us all and it isn't a big fuss to bring your one or two things. I do furnish the ham and sometimes the rolls but it depends on the others.

Today is the opening day for Star Wars the last sequel and most of my adult children are going together. Some spouses are joining them as well. I'm not a crowd person so I'm avoiding it. I think several grands are joining the group. I'm looking forward to hearing about their adventures. My youngest son may be going 3 times. I guess being the youngest doesn't change even with 3 children.

The girls want to wrap gifts so I'm mostly done with Christmas. It is nice to be done but not all that mysterious. I'll have to fix that.

Have a great day.

Yesterday was grocery shopping and Walmart day. Wanted to get these stops done and the plan is to not go again until after Christmas avoiding all the crowds. And a day off from my trail walk. The weather has cooled to the 60s but sunny and very nice. Sounds like we came to Texas at just the right time. They had snow and ice back home Sunday.

We did have a beautiful full grown Bobcat wander through the campground yesterday he/she looked to hunting along the sides of the campground where the trees and shrubs are.

I gotten back to eating healthier and drinking my water again which is a good thing as I have gained about 3 pounds (all that baking that I can't resist eating) even if it is my own.

Hi Seesters. It is cool here today and gray. I think another storm is coming but it is nice as it keeps the air clear.

PJ, glad you made it to Falcon Lake. The parade of boats looked beautiful. I hope your colds are better now. It is fun for you to get to visit with friends and enjoy nice weather..

LG, it is a busy time of year. Glad you got some visiting in and got o attend a ball game. I'm sure you will be busy until Christmas. I hope your plans are in place for the holidays.

Tammy, so sorry you had your card compromised. It is such a pain. I'm glad you have a good sense of humor. I worried about you and the roads. Hopefully you are safe and didn't have a problem.

It was a nice quiet weekend. Went to the violin recital for two grands. They are doing well. One has only been playing a couple of months so it was a challenge. I'm glad they are enjoying music. The older one who has been playing for a year formed a string quartet and they played Carol of the Bells. there was clearly a difference in some of the players and I'm looking forward to the Dragon improving.

I've got to make some banana bread. The Dinosaur needs some love. Have a great day.

Afternoon Seesters!
We are enjoying another beautiful sunny day with warm temps. It's a very laid back day. The most we did was Norm groomed Nala and gave her a bath. I made a nice healthy meal at home and cleaned that up.

We did have an ambulance come in th park this afternoon. We don't know who it was for. But I sure hope it isn't too serious.

A quick note we made it to Falcon Lake yesterday afternoon. I took my first trail walk this morning with plenty of wildlife. I saw some Javelina, surprised a skunk Luckily it was far enough off the trail I didn't get sprayed he or she just scurried off, A deer snorted at me and startled me as I was lost in my thoughts. It is in the mid 80s. Frank and I both have colds but we are mending Mine is almost gone. We have both been organizing everything. Our good friends from Amarilla were already here and we are next to each other. It is so good to have them here again after 2 years of being gone.

Tonight is the 2nd annual Christmas boat parade. They have twice as many boats signed up this year a total of 10 so it should be fun.

Tammy so sorry to hear about Joe's fall and the good news about DGS not having a tumor.

Hi Seesters.

Cold and rain/snow here. Going to last a few days again. The resorts are enjoying it for sure. My SIL has a home near the slopes and she gets a lot of snow. The snow blower isn't working so it will be covered.

Tammy, I'm glad your DGS doesn't have a tumor. It has to be a relief. It is the beginning of RSV season and you can get it every year. I hope you enjoy grandma duty. Any time with the little one has to be fun. He should be the age to start really enjoying stories, especially the ones with rhythm. Reading and singing to little ones is so fun. Not breathing well isn't.

So sorry Joe fell. It's true that as we age that ability to "save" ourselves isn't as good. One of the biggest fears as we age is falling. I hope he feels better soon.

SS, enjoy your lunch out. I'm glad DS and Zona have power again. It will help as they get things together. Any idea why they had water leaking? Hopefully it will not be a huge problem. So glad DD will be able to move into home and the idea of putting up a tree sounds fun and symbolic. So glad they have some strong backs to help. I hate those partial moves. They seem to take forever to get done.

Going to go do laundry and sew some. I've been trying to get to the machine for days and it isn't working. I've got to do it sooner than later.

Have a great day.

Tammy - Wow! Nothing like good/bad news. Poor little tyke. I am so relieved there was no signs of a tumor but he just seems to go from one thing to another. I hope as he grows and ages, he will be able to fight things off better. Hayden was so sickly as a baby and young child but he did eventually get better. He still carries an inhaler with him but doesn't seem to get sick any more.

Poor Joe too! I am still healing from my last fall. So many falls as we get older. The lady across the street from us fell a couple of days ago. I saw her fall and ran over to help her. I wanted her to go to ER. Her leg was really roughed up but I was more worried about a hairline fracture in her ankle. She refused to go but admitted to me yesterday that she probably should have. I hope Joe's eye heals quickly!

I talked to my DD last night. They finally found out they sign papers on their new house on Friday and get immediate possession. So she is all aflutter trying to get prepared for their move this weekend. Her DH wants to take a Christmas tree Friday after the closing and put the tree up Friday night before they start the move. So Roni is packing a picnic dinner. After the closing they will go to the house to get the key, set up their tree and just enjoy being in their new home. Their three adult sons will help them move over the weekend. Drake works for Two Men in a Truck so he will be able to help them immensely. And if everything doesn't get moved, it's OK because they haven't listed their old house yet so they can take their time moving everything. Very happy for them.

C&Z now have power and are doing much better. Their dogs are settling in well and so are C&Z. So both my kids will be spending Christmas in new homes!

Today is Ladies Lunch Out so I need to go get ready for that.

Hi, Seesters!

I DID have a good birthday. emoticon

GS actually goes to Cardinal-Glennon, but the GOOD NEWS is that the MRI did NOT show a tumor. emoticon The current bad news is that my little buddy is sick and they had him in the ER last night after a dr appointment yesterday afternoon. Possible RSV, possible flu, possible croup, definitely sore throat and definitely a cough and that was BEFORE the ER visit. I'm on grandma duty after I am done giving my final this morning; the other two are tomorrow morning and then I am sure I will need to be on grandma duty again. Details about the ER visit are sketchy - DS is likely already at work.

Joe took a tumble on the deck two nights ago and has quite the shiner. It's like he can't stop a fall once it starts. emoticon He wore sunglasses to the lawyer yesterday. He needed to.

Hi Seesters.

PJ, glad you got off. Have a good trip down and enjoy your time there. I love hearing about your walks and what you see. Hopefully the lake won't be as high this year.

I've been hungry all morning. Hopefully it is a positive thing. I'm tired of not making progress even though it has been only two weeks.

Have a great day.

HI Seesters. Sunny today and supposed to be warm by Friday then snow again. It is mostly melted now and I'm enjoying the sun.

SEK, sorry the day wasn't better. It was nice that you were able to roll with it and enjoy the day anyway. That was ridiculously rude to walk away from customers. I've only had that happen once and it was a government office.

Tammy, Happy Birthday. Hope your day was a good one. I've been thinking about you this week. Hope you do something fun for your birthday.

I hope your DS and family get some positive news from the doctor. Unequal pupils can be something and may not be. It has to be hard for your DIL to worry about being a carrier. I'm glad we have genetic testing. It is such a blessing to know where problems come from and it helps people make better decisions about their lives.

LG, glad the shop hop is over. Now you can do more to get ready for Christmas. Don't you host your family that day as well?

SS, you are doing so well with your plan. How fun to have the neighbors borrow a exercise DVD.

Today I'm going to Snow White's performance. DD invited me to Saturday but she isn't singing then. The real reason I'm going today, though, is that ex is going Saturday and they both annoy me. DD was kind enough to warn me in advance. Snow is singing a solo today and not Saturday, so a win for me.

DD thinks I'm silly to not want to be with ex but she wasn't married to him.

Have a great day.

Morning!

It is overcast and very windy today (25 mph gusts) so no one wants to walk outside so we did a different WATP dvd this morning in the clubhouse so I did get some exercise in.

Our potluck was good last night and my WW Zero Pt Chili went over great!. First time I ever had chili with corn in it! But it was good.

Today we have a Ladies Tea at the clubhouse. A light luncheon and we are doing some type of craft. Should be interesting.

SEK - sorry your SDC day wasn't better for Joshua but I'm sure he had fun.

I'm busy this week with trips and next week as well, every group doing last minute stuff.

SDC was not a great day. It must have been bring your 10 kids under 4 day and make sure they are all allowed to be the "boss". I don't believe I've every seen so many rude people all in the same place, no excuse me, just run you over with a stroller. I also had my first experience with rude workers, Joshua and about 4 other people were in line to check out in a shop and the girl said, "I'm going on break, I don't know what y'all are going to do." and just walked off from the cash register. Other than the screaming kids and rudeness we did manage to enjoy each others company. The weather was good and that helped. I just wish Joshua would have had a better first experience. I think in the spring we will go do some things in Branson. I know there are several things he will enjoy.

Not much other than work going on here. Y'all take care.

Morning! It is very humid here today so I really worked up a sweat exercising this morning. My FB battery went dead in the night so I had to have it on my charger while I was exercising!!! I just hate when that happens.

Yesterday we spent most of the day at the Texas State Aquarium. We had a good time with friends.

Last night Casey called from GA. They are there but not without a bunch of problems. Let's say it wasn't a smooth move. They arrived to a water leak that has went through all three floors!. They have no electric yet. Something about the meter under glass that must be repaired by a qualified repairman for the power co. They are hoping to get their power on today. So, the water leak has been fixed. They need to let everything dry up before they know if there is any permanent damage. At least it's just the two of them now. They put the other six on their plane last night to go home. Casey and Zona were trying so hard to keep everyone warm and fed with no power!

SEK - looking forward to your report on SDC.

Tammy - difficult to believe it's the end of another semester already!

LG - yes, this is a busy park. Tonight is a potluck dinner. There is something every day on the calendar. My cough is slowly getting better but I am not back to normal yet so by evening I am exhausted.

PJ - thanks on the new waffle recipe. I see WM is now carrying CarbQuick finally so I may just try it.

Hi, Seesters!

PJ mentioned brisket and I have been wanting one ever since! LOL I may have to get a small one. I have a delicious recipe that my best friend gave me years ago.

SEK, I bet SDC was packed out but hope you enjoyed.

The StepGiving was indeed a good day. It made my youngest SD happy to host everyone. She would have liked for us to spend the night, but Joe feels most comfortable in his own bed and free to get to the bathroom as he sees the need. The other SD asked us down to their time share in Branson over New Years' Eve and the same reasoning went into that; we will go the next day and spend a few hours. PJ, no, we didn't take to Cocoa to St. Louis. We could have easily taken Sugar Dog. Cocoa is NOT there yet. Fortunately there was a spot on the weekend at daycare/boarding.

DS, DIL and GS are in St. Louis at Children's or Wash U or somewhere...GS is getting his MRI to determine if there is concern because of his droopy eye and possibly different sized pupil. I am hoping/praying it is just an unnecessary baseline for the future. DIL shared with me that she is getting genetic testing first - she feels she may have been a carrier for some reasons she shared with me - and then if she tests negative, DS will be tested. I didn't know this until Saturday and it was part of just a general conversation.

This is my last week for the semester at the college. Today is a review day, but I have a suspicion that I will have some students taking advantage of "just a review" emoticon

PJ, Iíve been thinking of you today. Iím sure you are excited, anxious & ready to get on the road! Enjoy your day and have a safe trip!

WG, Iím sure that your holidays will be a bit different this year with the new bride and a new baby.

SS, you are on the go so much! Glad you are enjoying it. And glad you are feeling better.

SEK, hope you had fun yesterday.

Well, the last shop hop of the year is over. We were very busy the first 2 days. Not so much on Saturday. I sold 4 AccuQuilt cutters! It was amazing. Also, we sold 2 sewing machines and I think a lady is coming back to get a sit down long arm! It was a huge success. Now to get back to normal!

We are going Christmas shopping tomorrow with the kids. Hoping to get most of it done.

Enjoy your day!

I have been cleaning house, doing laundry, got a haircut and just generally getting ready for our Christmas get together tomorrow. I get so excited to see the little ones (the big ones too). Have taken a few things to the trailer preparing to leave. But if I do too much now Monday I will be so lost with nothing to do and twiddling my thumbs waiting until Tuesday morning. So excited to leave

I did try a new chaffle recipe (just made it up on my own) and it was delicous. I did not eat them right away I froze them then warmed them up in toaster oven.

1 egg, 2T CarbQuik, 1 T mayo, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp water and sweetner to taste. Made 2 cooked a little over 3 minutes. It did seem as though they browned better and were much crunchier when I ate them.

Looks like weather is still a go for tomorrow. I think the boys and I will have a good time. Adult squabbling you can walk away from and leave them, not like when they were little and you had to stay and listen. emoticon

Next week will be busy, have 3 trips, but it's OK this is a short pay month so I'll take all the trips I can get. I think I'm almost going to get a full check, if I have a trip the last week of work I will. I am grateful to our dispatcher. It helps that I bring her a bottle of wine once in awhile. emoticon

Got to run, y'all take care.

HI Seesters. Drizzling today. Have a dance thing with the granddaughters. It is a small class given by the local high school dance team. Part of their class activities. They teach the girls a dance, the girls perform and we are all happy. Have a singing concert and violin recital next week and another concert the following week. Should be fun.

SS, I'm glad you are up and about. It has to be fun having guys in your class. Tai Chi would be fun as well. There are videos on you tube but it is good for balance and flexibility. A little bit of everything sounds fun. Enjoy decorating. It is hard without snow and all the trimmings, but it can be fun.

I hope your person can get the stuff off your computer. It can be hard.

SEK, that's a lot of standing. They do our food at an off site place for the district and there are 8 high schools and the supporting other schools that feed into the bigger schools. The grands say it is nasty stuff but they eat school lunch for many reasons. The other grands take their lunch. Have fun on your bus trip this weekend.

LG, hope you are having fun with the shop hop.

Got to get going. Knitting is calling but I need to get some other things done before this evening.

Have a great day.

Good Morning!

It is sunny and 79 degrees already! It's going to get warm this afternoon! We are gathering at the clubhouse at 11am to decorate for Christmas. Serving Hot Chocolate and cookies for the volunteers. I will pass on the treats but I'm hoping it helps me get in the Christmas spirit. It doesn't feel like Christmas to me yet!

SEK - You brought back memories of when I worked in the kitchen many years ago. We made everything at the high school and the food was transported to the elementary schools by vans. It was a lot of heavy lifting and walking. Anyone who works in the Food Service know just how hard it is.

WG - yes, I enjoy going to the store a couple times a week. I just have to learn not to buy too much. Food doesn't last long here with the heat and humidity. I hope your family understands just how much you do for them and appreciate you.

Looks like everyone is cooking up a storm.

PJ the meat at Sams is high but there is so much of it. We go about once a month. I do a lot of our shopping with Amazon. We are Prime members and if you buy $25 worth of groceries there is no shipping. They carry most of the canned goods that we use and most are cheaper than Wal Mart. The best thing is I don't have to go to the store! emoticon

Been working one of the elementary schools kitchen in between routes this week. My feet hurt from standing 'cause I don't do it everyday. Don't know if I want to do it everyday.

So far the weather is supposed to hold so it looks like SDC is still a go. I'm ready to go some place fun. Probably shouldn't spend the money, but I figure we don't do this sort of thing often so why not you only live once.

We had to get a new computer and I forgot how many things I had saved that I don't have now. It's been fun trying to re-do. The guy still has our old one trying to get the data off, I think I'm going to have to get it and let someone else try. There are things I really need and I don't know if this guy is going to be able to retrieve the info, he's been working on it for 2 weeks.

Y'all take care I need to get busy before work.

Hi Seesters. Grands are on their way home so I'm going to have to be short.

SS, I love that you are going in a couple of times a week. Fresh goodies are the reward for eating well.

PJ, you are on top of your dinner. I'm sure you will have fun when you get to Texas. i look forward to hearing about your walks. It was so wet last year you didn't have as much fun. Hopefully this year it will be good.

I tried to do the SS online and felt like a dummy because I couldn't get it to work. It will be nice to not have to worry about that now. I have to plan outings and make sure that the grands aren't left unattended so it is a big deal for me to be gone for very long on any day. I sometimes miss the ability to just "up and go."

Have a great day. i'm off to greet the grands.

Good Afternoon

We just got back from our run to WM. With me eating more fresh fruits and veggies, I find it's easier to zip in a couple times a week as it's only a mile away!

PJ - our weather is holding. Today it's 73 and sunny. I enjoy it in the 70's and hope it holds for most of the winter. emoticon on such a great check up. You have worked hard and it is showing! Wow! That is so much for your meat but like you said, it's getting so expensive. I hope you have leftovers. I bought a Butterball Turkey Breast for $9.98 and cooked it in my slow cooker and it is so good! We've been eating it for a couple days already. Today for lunch we had a nice salad with turkey and ham. I never can decide on a good salad dressing as I'm not a fan of Italian. Do you have a favorite dressing?

WG - That was a really big group you had for Thanksgiving. It sounds like everyone had a good time. I'm glad you finally went to SS and signed up for Spousal Benefits. It's been on your mind for a long time and now that's one decision made.

This has been a wonderful day. I had my annual checkup today and the doctor and nurse were surprised and extremely pleased with my weight. Of course he wondered what I had been doing My labs were better than a year ago. YEA ME. I told him had been doing the Mediterrean diet but not real strict (I do cheat) and working out most weeks 4 times. He recommend that I not get my weight below 100 pounds (remember I'm less that 5' tall) I told him not to worry that would never happen. I have been having problems with 2 fingers for several months and asked him about them. He said it was finger dermatitis and told me creams to buy and a Rx for a steroid cream but to only use it 2-3 weeks.

Got home from that and DH and I went to Sam's Club. Stocked up on several items we were out of plus a huge brisket for him to smoke for our Christmas dinner and leftovers to freeze . The price of any kind of beef is just riduculous. That brisket was $60 and that was the smallest one they had. Wowzer there had better be some leftovers.

I will have lunch with one of my fitness lady groups tomorrow. Look forward to that and then won't see them again until spring.

All the baking Ė I will have a tray for our Christmas and plan to have a tray to give workers when we arrive at Falcon. They should enjoy it. I made some chaffles yesterday they were better than the first attempt. I put them in the freezer also made some ordinary ones for DH and they are in the freezer also.

WG sounds like you are getting things in order and more money is always good. I haven't played spoons since I was a child not even sure I would remember how I may have to google that one to jog my memory.

Sharon hoping that Texas weather holds until we get there so we can enjoy at least a few days of warm temps before they get a cold spell.

Tammy glad you had a safe trip and that you had a good visit with kids. Did you take Cocoa? I know you are counting the days til your school break. I would be too.

HI Seesters. Another holiday weekend done. It was a long but fun weekend. I'm now well filled and visited. It was fun.

My sister and her two daughters showed up. Her sons didn't but even with that, we had 43 people for dinner. SIL cooked the bird and potatoes. It had snowed all weekend and there was 2 feet of snow on the driveway that DS cleaned off before dinner. There were a lot of cars and so loud. It was nice that my grands and sister's grands and SIL's 4 year old son got along famously and had a wonderful time.

The cousins decided they wanted to play "spoons" like they did as children so the 8 cousins got together and played a shortened game. They laughed and fought over the spoons. It was so much fun. The older grands also played a game. The littles ran around and were so very loud.

The food was wonderful and pies great. Enough said. I had fun.

Today I went to the Social Security office and signed up for spousal benefits. It will extend my 401K for years and will give me a lot more money in a few years from SS. It took about 3 hours but the line as I walked out was 3-4 times what it was when I arrived so I'm glad I went early. DIL watched Miss M for me and took her to school. I'm sure she is glad she doesn't have a kindergarten child this year.

I now have all my "end of year stuff done except my water bill which is due the end of this month and my car insurance. I need to call on that one.

I stopped at Hobby Lobby and got some yarn for a project i may or may not get done this month. Sounds fun in thought but reality may be something else.

LG, I liked your tree but it is a dainty one so I can see why you might not love it. I like the narrow design. My tree is half the width of the previous trees and I love it. I hope you survive the shop hop. It is fun to do but I hate crowds so I avoid almost everything like that.

Since I quit eating all I cooked I don't bake much any more, but it is sad because I miss it. I love hearing about your baking.

Tammy, I loved the photos of you and Joe at your "steps giving" It looked like they did a good job of making you welcome. I hope it was really that way. It looked like Joe was doing well also. I'll bet you are so excited to be done with school for a few weeks. Fun though it may be, it is always nice to take a break.

PJ, I know you are excited to be with family again this weekend. It is nice to have your family with you and enjoy their company.

Judy, I felt bad you had to work so hard in your laundry room but it will be so nice.

Today I'm going to finish catching up from the weekend. It was long and kids stopped by yesterday as well so I have a bit to clean up still since I spent the morning doing other business.

Have a great day.

Hello!

I just finished my exercise class There still isn't many here and I'm lucky if I get 4-5 to show up. There seems to be no interest in Chair Yoga among those attending so this morning we did a couple segments from my Young at Heart by Misti Tripoli. They seemed to enjoy that.

I took Nala for her morning walk when I got back and it's pretty windy but sunny and in the upper 60's. The good news is I reached my goal for the day already. Everything from here on today is a Bonus!

Tammy - I enjoyed the family pics on FB! I'm glad it was a nice celebration with family, especially for Joe.

Judy - I have promised myself that I would make our MH more Christmasy today so when I finish my Sparking that is next on my list.

I cooked a nice turkey breast in the slow cooker yesterday so I am looking forward to turkey for our meal today!

Hi, Seesters!

We had a safe trip up and back to and from St. Louis on Saturday. Traffic really wasn't too bad and SD lives not too far into the south side. SD was very pleased and other SD was there as well, so that was a win/win to see our "kids."

I am giving Exam 4 of 4 today to my other two classes. Next Thursday and Friday mornings are final exams. I am ready for a break.

SEK, SDC has had extended hours until 10 p.m. at least one evening of this Xmas season because the crowd was so big, so you may get to have a good and long time there if you get to SW MO.

Got my decorating done. Didn't do as much this year. We were working on the laundry room, and it didn't get done as soon as I had hoped, so I didn't have much energy left for decorating.

I'm off later with Middle School Girls Basketball. They are usually a good group.

The weather is supposed to be good this weekend so the boys and I will hopefully get to SDC, if not there is always next year.

Good Afternoon

I just finished up the Weekly Summary for our challenge so now I am free to do the rest of my Sparking.

Norm is watching the Steeler's football game and Nala is napping at my feet. It is sunny and mid 70's so all is right in my little corner of the world.

PJ - such a busy time for you and Frank. You have to get ready to leave plus host the Christmas celebration. I hope you find time for yourself!

LG - sorry you don't like your new tree, bummer. We just have our little 3 ft one that sits on our dashboard of the MH. Norm is still working on outside decorations. I will post a picture when he's finished.

WG - did you get the ornaments on your tree for today? I might have left them for the kids to put on.

Tree is up did have to put a new string of lights on as the others decided not to work. Our little 2' or less tree is lit up and all we need.

Table leaf is in the table and my Christmas tablecloth is on. So we are ready until the cooking begins for our dinner on the 8th.

Cards are ready to be mailed.

Now to play with some yarn.

HI Seesters. Staying home and puttering today. I've got some things I didn't do earlier in the week and need to do today.

SS, so glad your dinner was good and you were successful in your eating. That is a big thing. I'm also glad your itching is less.

LG, I hope your dinner with your daughter was a good one. It is fun to be done with the fancy fixings and able to get the tree up. I was surprised Sharyn didn't stay open this weekend but it is fine since she is selling enough and would enjoy spending the time with family as well.

I've got to finish putting ornaments on the tree before Sunday when the kids may drop by. Other than that, I'm going to sew some little things for the grands today. Don't want to fuss too much this year.

Have a great day.

Morning!

Holiday is over and I'm back to working for a good loss at WI tomorrow. It is so nice to step on the scale and see a loss this morning instead of the normal gain!

The woodcarvers were so bummed that they missed their class yesterday due to Thanksgiving that they approached Norm to have it this morning. So Norm is showing them the technique for eyes this morning.

I am out of my Allegra so when I am done Sparking I will go to WM and restock. The itching is finally abating so I don't want to mess up now!

Judy - SDC sounds fun but not in the rain! Sorry about the weather. We had rain in the night but today is mostly cloudy but very warm and humid! (not complaining)

SS salad looks yummy. Glad you had a good time and didn't stuff yourself. I did well on that also. I usually over do, but not this time.

The boys and I were going to go to Silver Dollar City today, but the weather changed our minds, planning on next Saturday, weather is supposed to be good, lets hope it stays that way.

Got to get back to taking down Thanksgiving decoration.

We have been working re-doing the laundry room so I can't put up the tree until we get the cabinets out of that room. Hopefully that will be later today and I can do Christmas tomorrow.

Y'all take care.

I hope everyone enjoy their Thanksgiving, whatever you did!

We had our dinner at the Clubhouse. There were about 35-40 people. So much food! It was nice to take one dish to pass. I mentioned I was going to bring the Junk Yard Salad. It was the hit of the dinner. I took the glory and didn't tell them how easy it is to make!

I ate well but I didn't over eat. It's the first Thanksgiving in a long time I did not stuff myself.

When we got back to the MH, our DS called and we had a nice conversation with them. One week from today they will be on their way to GA. I think reality is hitting them especially having the family dinner with Zona's family today. It will be the last in a long time for them to enjoy an extended family Holiday.

It is a beautiful evening here - 70 degrees and no wind so I took a nice walk with Nala and walked down to the fishing pier. It was full with fishermen!
