Morning Ladies! I'm completely (well, almost) feeling normal today. I think the sinus thing was some type of allergy. Good riddance as I have another busy day today. This morning Norm and I are entered in a Bocce Ball Tournament so wish us luck with that. Then this afternoon is our Festival Community Event. Lots of music, dancing, free chili dinner and drinks. I'll try to behave myself! This evening we have tickets to go see Danny Vernon, an Elvis Impersonator in "The Illusion of Elvis" show.

LG - I am planning to join everyone in Shipsee. I better get in touch with Weezie and see if we can make plans now that PJ has confirmed she won't be attending.

Good morning team. I'm getting blue thinking about packing, loading the car and driving NORTH. I'm trying to figure out if there's anything I wanted to do and haven't done so I can DO IT quickly. I will be driving home in 6 days! 8(

The Mardi Gras was fun - maybe I'll try to get back here next year.

Have a great day.

Good morning!
Sharon, hope you're feeling better today...
...and Tammy, sometimes we do have a delayed reaction - like you being mad now. After all, you had to be there and help your DD get through these first weeks, and couldn't "indulge" your own feelings, you know?

PJ - yay for a haircut and pedicure. Sounds like just what you needed while you are being such a loving support to your dad and brother.

WG- keep that serger threaded! I've never had a serger, and it sounds complicated! Glad you had a day off, too...

Lily - you are a busy woman. I like your new profile pic with all the active figures circling the torch flame. That's you in all your incarnations!

Bonnie - you are funny with all the Mardi Gras descriptions - including the greedy woman in front of you with the beads. Greedy Beady, huh?

Dara - hope your computer "burps" and gets whatever is going on with it out of its system. It's SO frustrating when these tools give us problems...

And Weez, sounds like you are an organized person -- and it IS so maddening when others are sloppy in doing their work - especially when you've already provided stuff for them to make it easier to do their work in the first place!! Grrrr!!! Get up on your soapbox anytime with us and vent!!

Hope I didn't miss too many others - Nice to see how all of you are doing. I have an eye appointment this morning - the annual thing. Called two days ago to make an appointment for April or May and the woman said they had a cancellation for this a.m., and did I want it? Might as well get it done!

Have a good day, all!

Good morning, ladies!!

I am so sad.... emoticon TB and PJ won't be in Shipshe. You are right, Weezie, we'll just talk about them!!! LOL!!! emoticon I was so looking forward to meeting you PJ and to seeing you TB again. There is always next year.

Sharon, hope you are feeling better and I sure hope that you are planning on Shipshe!!

PJ and Weezie, congrats on the weight loss. I was up just a hair but up is up and I know what did it. So I'm back to my regular diet.

Tammy, we rarely eat breakfast out as we eat so early the only place around here open is McD's and I won't eat there!!!

Dara, don't know what to tell you about your computer!!

SEK, you will be so famous some day and I'll be able to say that I knew you when!!!

I have a meeting at the museum today at 12noon. So need to get a few thing done around here. Ya'll take care.

Good Morning
I did get that pedicure and a haircut. Felt so good to be pampered a little. I fell asleep waiting on my toenail polish to dry. Also got some meals made to take to my brother ones that he can freeze and use whenever he wants.

Today is dads day for the doctor then we are taking one of moms friends out to lunch.

STs done but will do more later for the BLC.

Tammy breakfast out was a nice surprise you probably needed to get away from paying those bills anyway.

Weez I wish they would do better on those counts and make it easier for you. Iím glad you enjoyed serger class and it sounds like you have a lot to look forward to.
I was down another pound this week. I think stress has something to do with the loss because I donít feel like I am doing anything different.

SEK I see on FB you added a new perfume. Iíll have to give that one a try too.

SHIPSEE I wonít be able to go either. With all that is going on here with family, gas prices and if there is any chance at all I want to go my aunts 90 birthday in Oregon which is during the time of Shipsee. I sure hope I make it next year.

I must get going with the rest of my day.

Good morning!

I woke a bit earlier, so will sign in before I begin to get ready to go teach. No late afternoon/early evening subbing today! I didn't mind helping my friends out, but am glad to be back on my regular schedule today.

It was almost 70 here today, and DH told me it will be in the 60s again today.

DD begins her new job today...she is an LPN, and wants to eventually be an RN, and so on. I think she will eventually be a nurse educator. I think this new job will be a chance for her to learn insights from a new situation in the nursing field - she will be working in a rehab/assisted living/nursing home situation. Her first nursing type job three years ago was in a state mental health facility, and then she worked in a clinic setting. I know I will be overjoyed when her first 90 days are over and she has insurance coverage again. Her health concerns are still there, but the intensity of the pain doesn't seem to be there with them.

Have a good day, all!

Ha day 4! I'm on a roll!

Today is going to be non-stop. I have a meeting with the people that are putting my brochure together, work of course, then they added a new evening route that I got, no discussion just oh you need to do this on Thursdays now. As soon as I get in it's off to the neighbors for her monthly nutrition thing, she's been after me forever to come and I couldn't really say no this time, she wants me to be a guest speaker about my products. So won't be any time today to sit and think about anything.

Sounds like everyone is having fun. I've never been to Mardi Gras and I don't think I want to. Way toooooo many people getting crazy.

Have a terrific Thursday!

So, I have missed something. TB?

My computer still rolls and reloads and I can only read 1/2 of what's here. Tried to catch up.
Mardi Gras and beads and boobs... I caught that. LOL.... how fun.

And a serger? I think I will have to google. Since I can't fix the tension on my sewing machine I am pretty sure that would be a tough one. But sounds interesting.

SS got to sleep in but has a headache? Cold or allergies?

Weezie, how fun to go with Jenn and Judy again. And then to Shipsee. Take pics.

Glad to see everyone on this thread. It's always a little tough keeping up when new threads are started. See you guys later.

Evening all,

Just wanted to pop in on my way to my pillow. Another long day but a good one. The serger class was good but went too quickly. I have it threaded and don't intend to ever totally unthread again. What a pain but we got it and all four spools are working nicely. Now to learn to really use it. That is the next class but in the meantime, I feel the urge to play so that will be on the agenda this weekend. It sets next to my machine so I can work with both!

Not a lot to share. March is gonna fly with the trip to Virginia Beach to do the 1/2 marathon with SEK and JEN the middle of the month and I also have two conferences before that I have to attend close to home besides trying to get the count day info together and turned in. Now if I could just get the buildings to get the info in! They were told it was due this past Friday. WE're closing in on this Friday and I've gotten information from one building that I've already gone through and sent back errors. Errors that should of been caught if she'd a compared the documents from the last count. I made each building with a copy of all that they turned in previously for comparison sake just in case they didn't keep it - you think they'd use it to save themselves some grief. Nope! Oh well, all we can do is try and I'm sure they are gonna be real sick of me and my emails quickly. I guess if the put a little 'care' into the project, it wouldn't be so difficult each and everytime. I do understand they are busy as I've been in their shoes but it is doable especially if you do the job well to begin with on a daily basis. Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now.

Well, need to get planning the Shipsee visit. It is a breeze for me with under an hour away. I'm sorry to share that TB is going to have to back out this year due to all the unforseen things that have happened as of late which we all can understand and appreciate. She will be missed but as I told her, we'll have to talk about her now. LOL

PJ, how did your weigh in go this week on BLC? I lost a fraction but a loss is a loss. I'll take it!!

SS, sorry about the head crud - I started with the Airborne stuff two days ago and I think I've managed to spare myself by doing so.

WG, glad you got a day off and time to enjoy yourself. Hope you got a lot of R&R in.

Bonny, Mardi Gras beads eh? My sister will be coming to New Orleans this weekend. Only been there once but after the parade but there were still beads EVERYWHERE. I'm sure you've been to the French Quarter. Are you familiar with Oscar?

Okay ladies, I've gotta call it a night. I will try to check in on you all tomorrow. Wishing you all a great evening and good to see you all here!

Hi, friends!

I was surprised by DH wanting to take me out for breakfast this morning. A nice surprise!

I had set aside this morning to pay some bills, run some errands, etc. The bill paying became a source of irritation when I couldn't figure out just what DH had set up as the login ID and password for our u-verse account, and then AT&T couldn't help me because they were having a problem with the site managing the passwords...I spent 45 minutes trying to take care of just that...grrr...and then when I continued with irritation, I realized that it is just my usual way of processing life events. I will forget that I haven't even been mad yet, and then it will sneak up on me as it did this morning. We are now 6? 7? weeks after the decision by my STBXsil that he wanted a divorce and I spent a lot of that time just helping DD get stabilized and grieving for someone that I thought I knew and obviously did not. Now the anger stage has hit...so I hope I get through that quickly. I hope it doesn't last 6 or 7 weeks! :-)

Lent...I wasn't raised in a faith tradition that observed Lent, and in fact, was quite ignorant of it until I was an adult. I do like the observation, however, and really enjoyed a Lenten study that I did last year. Our church newsletter had a list of several suggestions for Lenten observations that I thought was quite good. One of them that jumped out at me was reading through the gospel of Luke twice during the time. It occurred to me that I was already reading through the gospel of Matthew so that I would just commit to that for that particular gospel. My BFF, who is still teaching at the high school level, always jokes at this time of year that she will give up teaching for Lent! LOL

Mardi Gras/beads/etc...I did receive some goodies of beads...but no flashing from me! LOL [Couldn't resist that one...it WAS one of my smiles this morning!]

PJ, DH and I had one of those chicken dishes from our rotisserie chicken for lunch, and this evening I am going to try a chicken pot pie recipe that was in the Sunday paper using phyllo dough for the crust. Luckily, DH likes chicken as much as I do! I guess it is just a chicken day.

Piano lessons this afternoon, and DH is going to run some errands while we are in that town.

Have a good day...

Good Morning!

We ended up going to our Festival Kickoff last night which was a Mixed Chorus Concert celebrating Arizona's Centennial. Our resort is large enough that we had enough volunteers to have a beautiful chorus which we enjoyed immensely. Our King and Queen of the Festival was also announced. The Queen is an original resident of our resort (opened in 1979) and she herself just turned 100! She still participates in the activities and plays a mean shuffleboard. So I guess all this fun can keep you young.

My headache from the other day turned in to some kind of sinus thing so yesterday I wasn't at the top of my game, lol. I went to bed right after the concert and Norm let me sleep in this morning. I never heard him get up. All of a sudden my phone rang and it was after 9! I can't remember the last time I slept so late. Norm had already left for wood carving so I got to get up leisurely and spend the morning alone. I'm feeling better now so I guess I needed it. I don't want to be sick while all the Festival fun is just beginning!

Just got back from buying groceries. I will be making venison stew, chicken & veggies (in a white sauce), and some muffin size ham & spinach quiches. All should be freezable and will share with brother. Also got another rotessirie chicken (since he liked that so well) and tuna for tuna salad (which he really likes) I will deliver all on Friday.

Oh and I have a pedicure appt at noon and a haircut appt at 3. I like the sounds of this me day.

Good morning. A surprise day home and I'm going to take it. I don't get days off that often lately, so I'm not going to complain. Next week, though, it will be someone elses' turn. It was a hard day yesterday, well all weekend as well. Some days are like that.

Took care of a few problems yesterday that have been bothering some of the staff. Hopefully, they will be improved. One was quite dangerous. The others were potentially dangerous or caused problems with PR.

Weezie, it is good to be busy, so it is fine. You have your quilt you are enjoying and it is important to work when you are "on a roll." Enjoy your serger class. I had to go on Youtube to find out how to thread mine recently as the book is in a bedroom waiting for my sewing room to be reclaimed. It worked, though and I'm back to using the thing.

Bonny, I love the parades, but only the Mardi Gras ones. Glad you had fun. The float folk would probably prefer not to see some of the boobs they get to see anyway. I have some beads and coins I saved from when I lived in the south. They go to my son as he was born there.

Jo, glad you are back. Sometimes changes in threads are hard to follow, but you are such a sharp gal and you may have less difficulty with the new thread.

PJ, glad your brother is feeling a bit better. He will get stronger, but it will be a few months before he feels like himself again. Hopefully the pathology reports will be positive and he will have a good recovery.

I'm off to do laundry and a few other things. Have a great day everyone.

Jane, I sent you a SP email in case you don't see this. I am staying at the Van Buren Hotel. I sent you the phone # but it is on the Shipshewana website. Don't forget we are going on the 25th and 26th of June.

I observe Lent starting today. I plan to eat less meat and more fish and fresh fruit and veggies. I also plan to try to volunteer more with St. Vincent De Paul.

Got to move......

Good morning, team.

YES, I enjoyed the Mardi Gras parade (too chicken to show boobs) except for the "old" woman who tried to snatch ALL the beads and kept getting in front of me, slightly shoving me out of the way! I thought about pushing her under the floats. (just kidding) I was chastised by another onlooker for NOT doing just that...so I was not alone!

Good morning -
The cleaning went fine yesterday, and it's so nice to be in a cleaner kitchen, bathroom, etc. I think I wrote a couple of months ago about getting a steamer mop. I love that thing. Steamed the kitchen and bathroom floors yesterday and just freshens things up so I know they're clean (for 24 hours?). I also made some healthy stuffed peppers with brown rice and chicken...and then we each just ate one, with two saved for another meal. Did I tell you that DH is also losing weight? It helps to have both of us eating better, and especially watching our portion control.

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Are any of you (if it's your tradition) observing any particular Lenten discipline? I'm considering that today and want to decide what that will be this year for myself.

Jo, hope you feel better and don't have many more computer issues. Dara, hope you get a good night's sleep! PJ, glad you're continuing to eat and take care of yourself in the midst of taking care of others. Maybe the weight loss is just from all the additional concerns you're carrying...? Everyone else, thinking of you all today and hope everyone has a healthy and blessed day.

Good Morning!!

PJ, so glad that Dave is feeling better and I'm sure that he is more comfortable without the drain and stitches. You are a wonderful sister!! I got my sister a small antique dresser tray and perfume bottle. They have pink roses on them and she is crazy about pink roses. Saw so many things that I would love to have but just more stuff to have to dust and I also hate house work. For years I had a cleaning lady but then she got lazy and I let her go. Wish I could find some one. PJ, congrats on the weight loss!!!

Sharon, you have a great time and make me envy you so much!!!

Bonnie, I'm like PJ....no boobs!!! I'm disappointed in you!! emoticon emoticon I would be too chicken!!!

Weezie, you are doing great and juggling so many things. Be gentle with yourself.

Dara, we always had our dogs fixed too.

Must run.

Good Morning
Dave got his drain tube and stitches out yesterday and we have an appt with the surgeon for a follow up on the 8th when he will go over the pathology report. He felt so much better after getting rid of the tube and stitches. I also told him I would not be there today and tomorrow is my day to take dad to doctor. So he is on his own for a couple of days but he will do just fine. Iím glad I told him I wouldnít be there because my body this morning is telling me I need a day off.

Day off what is that anyway I am washing clothes now and boiling the chicken bones for broth. I will probably go to the grocery store and make up a pot of stew to share with him and some chicken veggie stew.

Down another pound this week and yes I am eating and yes I am exercising so not sure why Iím down but Iíll take it.

Lily what did you buy for your sisters birthday? Just curious. I am so glad you enjoyed your weekend and bravo for signing up for next year.

Pat44 how did that cleaning go? I have taught myself to crochet and knit Ė I donít do anything fancy and use a lot of variegated yarn.

SS you are on the go go go. Donít you wish all those bills didnít follow you?

Dara hope you got some sleep last night? How long do dogs stay in heat. We have always had female dogs but always got them fixed before they came into heat the 1st time.

JO hope you are feeling better.

BONNIE no boob showing? What kind of Mardi Gras person are you? I have never been but it does look like fun at least to do one time.

WEEZ Iím with you on the housework. Our lives would be so much more fun if we didnít have to do housework.

Later ladies have a good one.

Good Morning to you all!

Thanks SEK for the new thread. If all the posts were causing a problem for some, hopefully this new thread will alleviate that as well.

Sounds like all are busy but doing well. That IS what counts afterall.

I too have been busy and tired. Sorry for being MIA but I'll work on it as well. Between work, sewing, and grandchildren, my life is full without complaints. Oh and still trying to keep up with DH and housework. Can I give up on the housework? I hate it most don't ya know. LOL

Tonight I'm to go with my sister to a serger class. We all want to learn how to thread these darn things so that is what tonight's class will offer. What an old lady eh? LOL

Do wish you all a wonderful day and will try to get back to this thread later. Enjoy!!

well, i got a surprise when i clicked on the new name - stupid me, i just clicked the first one never reading it (just like i usually do) and reading the posts i learn that it is a new thread. that is why i could not find my last post, i thought you gals were tired of listening to my woes abt changing all my records. finally coming close to end and last will be removing the LW ICE name. doctor's apptmt early March so will have them do it now. it would cause too much trouble doing it before as the office just went on computer - this way, they will have my file up when i get there. it seems so funny watching them type in everything. just hope no mistakes.

did not feel too well over holiday weekend and frankly, thought all you gals would be too busy to post. i just rested and watched some TV.

the weather wasn't too bad but very windy and frankly, i did not care to fight the crowds as everyone seems to think there are bargains. just went food shopping.

can't stay on too long as it is almost bed time. went on line early today but had trouble with Yahoo. Yahoo would not accept my password - Yahoo has been acting poorly for a long time now. i use Foxfire now but have to check Yahoo Mail - been with Yahoo for many years. wanted to cancel the mail address but can't find a way to do it. never had so much Spam - and they are the same every day. just pure garbage.

read all the posts and thanks for the new thread. Tammy - know your DD will just feel great soon. PJ hope all will be well - that is an advantage to small towns where people pitch in. In NJ and down here in FL there is 'Meals on Wheels' - 2 meals per day - i believe free if you can't afford it or you pay what you can. NYC does not have anything like that -

can't answer all but thought of you all over the weekend and hoped all enjoyed it.

will check it tomorrow.

JO

emoticon emoticon read lots and tomorrow go to library - closed over the long weekend.

Isn't it funny that when we are gone from our norm, good things like exercise take precedence. Now to figure out how to do that when I am at home. I love it when we go camping because we walk at least 2x a day.

I am sitting here listening to my dog whine. One of our dogs is in heat and the dachsund is in love! He sounds like he is in pain. No wonder I always had just boy animals.

I do not know how to crochet either. Knitting a little. My mom was such a crafter. She could knit with her eyes blindfolded. Even drop a stitch and pick it up again. She made all our drapes, etc. I'm lucky if I can hang a bed sheet over the rod! LOL....

Sounds like everyone is moving in the right directions. SEK is here again today! LG, hope your back feels better. Tammy, you are a good friend doing all this subbing. SS, we know you are having some fun! Laundry in the sun can't be all bad. :) Bonnie, walking on the beach. Oh so envious.

Headed to the kitchen to cook dinner. Crossing my fingers I get some sleep tonight. Do they make doggie downers????

Thinking of all of you as I go about my day. No so fun today - laundry, cleaning and bill paying so don't be thinking I'm having fun in my absence. Oh wait - perhaps a little, teehee!

Good morning, ladies!
Judy, glad you're getting more people introduced to your products! It does sound like a win-win!

PJ, glad the dinner was a hit, and it's very sweet of the assisted living place to offer, too.

Tammy, hope you can find out how to sign up to bring meals. It's SO appreciated by folks when they are on the receiving end of the care of a whole community.

Hope to sew some today, but I also have to clean and am feeling kinda lazy about that, so will probably make myself clean and the sewing can be my reward. Plan to make some nice stuffed peppers for dinner tonight with leftover chicken and brown rice from last night's dinner. I tried to plan ahead yesterday when I roasted a whole cut-up chicken. We ate from that last night (sans skin) and tonight, I'll pick off the meat from the remaining pieces to cook up in the stuffed peppers.

Other than that, my only news is that I'm learning to crochet, and am having some moderate success. I wanted to make a couple of little "amigurumi" -- those miniature crocheted animals, figures, fruit, food, etc. that are so adorable. (I think they originated in Japan and "amigurumi" is Japanese. Google that term and you'll see ALL these adorable little designs.) For my first attempt, I made a 3 inch ball yesterday that I stuffed and feel very proud of. I've never been able to crochet before (can knit just fine) so I'm feeling like I made a mental break-through and will stop saying that "I can't crochet..."

Have a good & healthy day, everyone~

Good morning, ladies!!

Well, I'm on the run again this morning. Going to my sister's and we are going shopping for gifts for our older sisters' birthday. It's been raining here again and it isn't warm.

Sek, glad that you are able to get your products out there. And I like my veggies with meat too!! emoticon

PJ, glad to hear that Frank and Sadie made it back to Texas with no problems. Also, that you will get some answers also.

Got up with a back ache this morning and it still isn't gone. Did take a couple of tylenol so hopefully it won't bother me all day.

Got to get moving here. Have a great day!!!

PJ, that is a relief to know DH and Sadie made it back safely, isn't it? And so very nice that the assisted living complex is going to send a meal! I know that our church signs up to take dinners to those who have had surgery, etc, and I think that is such a nice thing to do. I am never really sure just how to do that, so have never participated, but I need to ask some questions, I think. I have a work friend that is having a hysterectomy later this week and it would be nice to take something for her family for a hot meal, I would think.

SEK, it is always nice to hear from you and the progress with your business, etc.

We have a camping place where I almost always get the max of exercise in. We plan to be there more rather than going on longer trips later in the year. We have a trip to FL/LA here in a month during my spring break from the college, but it is just mainly to see my DS and for DH to see his SIL that he hasn't seen in 20 years.

I am subbing for a friend this afternoon after my regular teaching load is done, so I better scoot.

Have a good day, friends!

Bonny I can so relate to your walking more while you are away from home. That is how it is for me when we are in Texas too.

The dinner I took to brother was much appreciated. My dads complex (assisted living) is going to send us with a meal from them too we just need to let them know ahead of time what day. That is so sweet of them. We go to the doctor today to get stitches out and hopefully the drain tube. I am really hoping someone can answer some questions and give us the pathology report findings. This evening I will be making a lot of phone calls to friends and family about what we learn today.

I got an outside walk in yesterday morning after more than a week it felt so good to walk outside. Frank and Sadie made it to Texas with no problems and will be getting into their own routine.

Wishing you all a great day.

Can you believe this two days in a row, I'm on a roll.

Dara not so big a movie roll, just an extra, but it's fun and I'm hoping to get my products to the ladies that are the stars. There is a method to my madness. I might have to take the long road but in the end it will be worth it.

Yesterday the wind was just horrible and then it stormed some last night. It is not April but the weather sure doesn't seem to know that.

Not much going on different here. I've been asked to be a guest at my neighbors monthly raw food meeting. She uses my products and she wants me to come and present them to her group since they are all natural and don't use animals. She's a good gal and I told her sure why not. She's been trying to get me to eat like she does, but I don't think so. I'm bad and like to eat chicken with my veggies. She also wants to buy some samples and hand them out so I think it's a win, win all around.

Hope you all had a good Monday and today is no different. I need to get in MY bathroom before some one else. I just love it, I built this bath down stairs for me and now because everyone has a job I have to share. Well, I'd rather share and everyone working than the other way.

Trust me, Dara, I'm going to walk every one of those days. This is the reason I've logged so many fitness minutes in 2012. When I go home, I won't walk as much....I've worn out my feet! lol

LG, how fun. A whole weekend to quilt. When I used to scrapbook, I thought the weekends away were the best.

Bonnie, a good 9 more days to walk on the beach. Heaven!

WG, long hard hours. You are a stronger woman than I.

Pat44, when you say spinning, I always have a quick flas of Rapunzel at the spinning wheel. :)

SEK, movie roles? What next? Have fun.

Tammy, sounds like your DD is doing well under the circumstances.

Back to my vacuuming and dusting. Can't believe my 4 day weekend is almost gone and I still had not done all my chores. Dinner is ready though (a mexican chicken casserole). Now, if only my dachsund will quit whining. Our pug is in heat and even with them apart, the noise is so grating!
Poor thing.

See ya later.

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick checkin for me. Water aerobics was the bestest so far this morning! It was 50 degrees and completely enjoyable.

This afternoon is our big "N" Street party. This is the one where I was voted Queen of the Street last year. I don't expect that again but I look forward to another party!

Yesterday we went to a Open House party. One of our friends moved in to a new park model and as you know - any occassion is good for a party, lol.

Hello, ladies!! Yes, I'm still alive!! I had a wonderful weekend and so enjoyed all the ladies and men who were sewing and quilting. There were 80 of us!! We stayed at a State Park Inn overlooking the Ohio River and it was so scenic even in the winter. Got there on Friday morning about 9 and after getting all my "stuff" situated in the room where we sewed, I got busy. I got an appliqued pineapple done and a nine patch top for a wall hanging done. Now to get them both quilted and bound. I'm going to start a BOM called Grandmother's Sampler. I'm excited to do this. The food was good and plentiful but some what on the salty side. So I was drinking lots of water. The gal who sponsored the retreat, had some demos on different techniques and I learned a lot. Planning to go again in February next year.

SEK: thanks for starting the new thread. I'm sure that will help!! Good luck with your new movie role!!

PJ, the time will go so fast and you'll be back in Texas with DH!!!

SS, hope that you are feeling better and no headache today.

Bonnie, know that you are walking the beach and enjoying every minute of it!!

Pat44, hope that you enjoyed your spinning class.

Tammy, your DD has a wonderful example in you so I'm sure that she'll be fine.

WG, getting up early is great once you get used to it and I love the "ME" time!!

Got to run. Will check back later.

It is good to read that we are all moving. Got a "honey do" list for myself today. I did do some catch up this morning on other things since I worked until 8:30 pm on Saturday and back at 5 am on Sunday for another 12 hours. I was a tired puppy. I don't usually get up at 3:30 but will be doing it now. Some days I'll get off in the early afternoon but I should be home in time to spend time with the kids and grands if needed.

There are some fabric sales and I've still got to get backing for the quilt. I wish I knew what the new grand is so I could get something there as well, but I do best when I focus on one at a time.

Have a great day all.

Good morning -
It's nice to have a fresh new thread! Thanks, Judy. (I'm wondering what the threads AFTER we fill up this one will be called? "The Talk Goes On", or, "Keep Talking: the Sequel." We could have fun with the titles!)

I was gone about 11 hours yesterday: drove to Green Bay for a meeting, but went with DH and carpooled with others and so the miles were fun. When we finally got home after 11, I think I was so road-wired, I couldn't sleep.

PJ, thinking of you as your DH goes back to TX and you have family responsibilities that you are offering...

It's a "spinning morning", so I had my oatmeal early and will be exercising in another hour. Today has its own joys and challenges, and after a good workout, I'll be ready to meet them.

Blessings!

Good Monday morning, friends!

I am spending today doing everything that SHOULD have been done the past three days. LOL It isn't that everything wouldn't wait, but now I am paying for my procrastination. It is supposed to be nice, so I am going to try to walk outside again today. I did get to do that yesterday afternoon, and enjoyed it so much.

DD will be stopping by today; she has to go to the new job location [it is in the town that DH and I live in and about 15 to 20 minutes away for her depending on traffic] and get a TB test. As with any "hard" life events, she is having good days and bad days [or as we know happens, good minutes and bad minutes].

Well, better go get busy. That load of laundry that I didn't dry yesterday should be about to come out of the dryer!

Ooooh SEK another movie. Your becoming quite the celebrity. emoticon

DH and Sadie left about 4:15 this morning. I now have only one Leslie DVD here (the rest are in Texas) so I have an old VCR player in the she cave and RIchard Simmons and I got reacquainted this morning. Its sure been a long time for those VCR tapes. But I actually think the change will be good.

I am going to stop at Sams this morning and get a rotisserie chicken and make some rice with some cut up veggies in it at home this morning to take to my brothers. I figured we could eat together or I can split it and leave some with him for when he is hungry. I am trying to do a few things as he eats a lot of canned soup or processed foods. He said he didn't eat much yesterday (just wasn't hungry) so maybe this will taste good to him.

Gotta go and get my oatmeal breakfast and move on with the rest of my day.

You are all welcome for this new thread, I wonder how fast it will fill up.

I just have a few minutes before everyone gets up and takes up my alone time. That is another reason I'm having trouble getting what I want done in the mornings. Everyone goes to work at the same time since I closed day care and so I have to hurry to get done. I could get up earlier but I figure 4 is early enough.

I got an invitation to be an extra in a movie that is filming in New Orleans. I accepted because they are shooting on a weekend and that way I don't have to take off work. I've never done this because of the film days so I don't know what happens now. I think it's a wait and see, but I'll keep you posted. I do know it's a breast cancer awareness type film with Brooke Shields, Darryl Hannah and several others that I can't remember.

Have a magnificent Monday!

I was having trouble on a couple of my teams posting. Maybe it was SP? But a new thread is good! Starting over in 2012.

Headaches are not much fun. But glad you are feeling better SS.

Judy thanks for starting the thread. Know how busy life can get. Stay in touch.

PJs, hope the time goes by fast for you. I must be so bad, I used to look forwad to my time alone. I'd get my favorite shrimp tempura and rent my favorite movies and sit in the front of the TV and eat. LOL...... and here I am. :)

TB, busy girl! Hope things are going well.

Everyone take care. I have the day off tomorrow and need to deal with dogs in heat. It is a mess and loud!!

I love this! We had nearly 7000 posts on the "Let's Talk" thread. That is a statement about how much we mean to each other.

SS, hope the headache is better. PJ, it is hard to be alone when you aren't often. The kids took the dog for a sleepover last night and my house was very quiet.

Sek, you are doing amazing things! You have bravely gone forward with not only your own business, but the products of your own creativity! It is such a wonderful feat. I'm cheering for you!

Hope all are doing well. Have a great day. I'm off to bed.

Good afternoon all:

Sharon: I hope the headache is better.

PJ: I hope the time goes by quickly. There have been a couple occasions when Mr. TB was away for a lengthy stretch; I found the first few days lonely but after that I settled in. I'm sure you will too.

There isn't much new here. I'm feeling better and got a full workout in yesterday ... quilt and piano too.

See you all later.

Thank you Judy for this new thread. Check in when you can.

SS sorry about the headache. I woke up and my usual 4:30 in the morning but I just had a nap of about an hour and feel like I have been run over by a truck. I think the week is catching up with me. We will go see MIL today and we have some gift certificates to use for dinner tonight at Schlokoskys and then DH packed up for him to leave early in the morning. I'm not looking for to him and Sadie leaving but I will survive. One less thing for me to worry about really no one to cook for but me. This will be the longest I have ever been in the house alone I usually have Sadie when he is hunting.

Well I better get some more done. I hope all of you enjoy your Sunday we are having a lot of sunshine today.

I go by the name of PJ and live north of KC, MO. Winter in East Texas.

Its always too soon to quit.

It may take me longer to get to my goal than my original plan but I will get there.

Thanks, Judy! Hopefully the new thread will help it load quicker and we won't have as many problems getting in to post.

We are all happy that you have lost your weight and continue to do well not only with that area of your life but your job and your business. We know how important Heartland S.O.S. is to you and wish you the best with growing your business.

Drop in whenever you can - we'll be here and look forward to the day when you can post with us on a regular basis once more.

As for me, I woke up with a horrendous headache this morning so I rolled over and slept for another hour. It's still not gone but at least I'm functioning now. I got to get better as we have an Open House party this afternoon. One of our friends sold their park model and bought a new one in the pet area so they can bring their dog down. They are so proud and want their friends to come have a look inside!

Good morning ladies.

This is the new thread that we are going to use to keep in touch with what's happening in our lives. I have put stop signs on the Let's Talk thread and taken the "sticky" off so please use this one.

I am so sorry I've been MIA but the time just keeps going. Everyday I get on and have the best intentions of being here and then poof time is gone and still I've been every where but here.

I've been working more hours with bus trips and on Heartland S.O.S., then there is school work with Joshua. For some reason I can't seem to get my schedule right, but I will it's just taking longer to figure it all out.

Remember I may not be logged in but I think of each and everyone of you daily. Enjoy this new thread and each others company!

Judy/Seksunshine

You will never get to the next great moment in life if you don't keep going.
