Hi all!

I posted about this in the community forums, but thought I should post it here too! A few years ago, I was another site (I believe it was WomensHealth, but I can't find it now). There was a thing many of the members did each month and it was a little mini challenge thing. You would post every day (or as often as you could) about your calories for the day, your exercise, your water intake, how you did for that day, etc. Your first post of the month would include some basic stuff about yourself, such as weight, height, age, what you needed to improve on/what you struggled with, things like that. You would weigh yourself at the beginning of the month, and you wouldn't weigh again until the end of the month. A lot of people would set goals for themselves (such as losing two pounds a month) and have a little reward at the end (such as taking a day/evening for yourself, treating yourself to something, etc.) Sometimes we'd have a challenge, such as doing a certain exercise or eating so much fiber/protein or drinking enough water.
I know a lot of people (myself included) need a buddy system or a support to help them, and I was thinking this was a good place for it.

A challenge on keeping a journal would be great! I think that is what has helped me lose weight as well, because you are being held accountable by actually seeing what you are putting in to your mouth. I also like the % challenges. Like 5, 10, and 15% challenges.

I would like to see challenges, specifically about Journaling. I have been successfully loosing because I have kept an accurate Food journal. But I've been stalled for nearly a month. Partially because life has gotten busy, and because I'm feel so much better and find my calories are sneaking up. I am 1/2 way to goal I think I need to write my feelings about food as a means of self discovery to unlock my issues relating to food, and heal those issues.

Most of this I'd like to keep private, but share epiphanies or slogans that help one stay focused.

Current slogan: What you eat in private, you wear in public.

Hi there, since you asked I would like it we discussed addictions that we have. I am addicted to certain foods and have discovered that I am not just a compulsive over-eater but I am a food addict. That has helped me stay more on the straight and narrow. Also, seeing women who are a healthy size has also helped me.

Those are my suggestions,

I AM A FOOD ADDICT. LOSING MY WEIGHT IS LIFE CHANGING. HERE I GO!

Challenges are good motivators for me. They can focus on lots of different behaviors, tracking, nutrition, exercise, supporting others...
Daily motivational quotes are fun too.

There will be days I don't know if I can do a marathon. There will be a lifetime of knowing that I have.

Hello
I personally would like to see fun Challenges, weighs ins weekly with rewards if you loose, like an emoticon and daily motivational tips. I think if everyone would check in briefly every day to let everyone know how they are doing and what they need help with would also be great. How about encouragement to exercise and post in your food tracker. I think anything that will help keep everyone accountable and encourage determination.

As one of the new leaders on the team I want to contribute more to this group and add some fun forums and such to keep us on top of our game emoticon

I would love to hear your opinions on what you would like to see more of or less of on this team moving forward.

Challenges, weighs ins, daily motivational quotes, specific goal forums (exp..running 5k, eating clean, fitting into an old pair of jeans)... What would help YOU personally? What kind of encouragement and activities do you need to hold you more accountable and keep your determination up to reach all of your unique health goals?

Please do me a favor and list at least one thing you would love to see happen on this team!

I look forward to getting to know all of you better and helping you stay motivated! Together lets figure out some helpful ways to support each other on this journey and encourage one another to achieve greatness. Lets crush our goals! In the near future I want to see a lot of these..... emoticon

Thank you for your contributions and just being awesome!
