emoticon to this tiny team! I am type II Diabetic, so do not have answers for you, BUT I belong to another team that might help you. It is run by a nurse who has a lot of knowledge about diabetes. The team is on my SparkPage or you can try to find it. The name is Diabetes Self-Management. Another really good resource is the Managing Diabetes Group. I belong to both. I don't join challenges or anything on those teams, but find the groups are just SOOOO valuable for knowledge and experience dealing with Diabetes.

This little group (Walking, Walking, Walking) was started so I would have a place to talk about walking and Diabetes in the same place. If you join the goal, you will have a place on your "Other Goals" section to log morning and night BS readings.

ME? I walk with DVDs in my living room...every day for about an hour and a half...that's about 6 miles. I also use weights while I walk two of the miles. The DVDs I use most are LESLIE SANSONE ones.

I control my diabetes with METFORMIN, diet, and exercise. I track everything I put in my mouth...I make sure I don't go over on Carbs and get enough liquids.

Type I is still a mystery to me....maybe you can enlighten me as you go on your Spark journey. I may be type one some day, so the more knowledge I have, the better.

Again, welcome to this group!!

i recently started walking/ running 5 mi. I've been doing it 4 weeks without any change in weight. My sugars are good before exercising, i still drink oj in order not to go low. Has anyone tried protein gels or other and still had success trimming down. Please let me know
