Good morning. It is Tuesday and will be in the 40ís today with sunshine and light breeze. They thaw is on and it is slow which is good for us right now. Looks dry for the week so that is also helpful. Yesterday was a tough breathing day so I was very inactive. I rested and watched a lot of my taped shows, My back is almost back to normal and that is good so hope today will be a better day, It would be nice to get out and breathe a little bit of fresh air today, I only had 3,214 steps yesterday but that is fine. Today will be better. I will work at it and make it better. I need to get a few things done around the house. Hope you all have a great day

Chip, Prednisone gives me a lot of energy too. I would love to feel like that all the time. LOL.

Sharon, good to hear your back is better. The pain can wear you out.

Chip, I am sorry about the messed up sleep and great that you have had all the extra energy. Hope you can keep at it.

I had lunch with my Tuesday Lunchers at Outback today. I had ribs and steamed veggies instead of fries. One of my friends who does not eat fries did not know you could ask for something. She gave her fries to another friend but I think would have liked the veggies. If I had had a salad I would have had to pay $2 more so I got a good deal.

Glad the weather has cleared up and you all are enjoying spring.

I am having a good day today. I did get some sleep, but not much. I am taking prednisone for allergy relief. It really messes with my sleep.

It is a nice day with a nice shiny sun and just a slight breeze.

The prednisone also give me lost of energy. So this morning I took the dogs for a 1mile walk, went to the golf field to pick up golf balls (lucky day, I found 8) and had to get the hose out to fill the hot tub because it was low.

I havenít been this active in ages and it was still morning. Now Iím going to get my nails done.

The start of another week and it will be a good day, The sun will shine and the temps will be nice. It is a slow thaw but the flood outlook is really bad. It is looking like over 20 feet above flood level here. Hopefully we wonít get moisture until the flood is done. I had a very quiet day again yesterday but my back seems to much better so will get back to it again. I watched a lot of taped shows yesterday and rested. Pain pills make me tired so slept a lot but that is what heals the back. I am off the pain pills now and that helps. I sure hope everyone has a great day and can enjoy some lovely weather.

It is Saturday and is cloudy and a little cooler. No rain but could be a little drizzle later. I need to get out and pick up some doggie doo later. I am not doing too much as my back is bad and that is why I have not been on for a couple of days. I hope it heals quickly. I have been walking a little but nothing major. I will try do better tomorrow. I did get out on Friday to get groceries for the first time in a long time and I got my house dusted and the bathroom cleaned. Think that is why my back is sore. I tried to do too much. Hope you all have a great weekend.

I had not realized that it rained last night until I went outside this morning. We do need the rain to keep down the brush fires.

I do better with drinking water if I keep a glass by my computer when I am on it.

Good morning on this lovely Friday morning. It will be another lovely day with temps in the upper 30ís with lots of sun. The sun really makes a person feel so much better. Yesterday we did se a 40 degree day. I was very tired as I hadnít slept the night before so slept a lot during the day. I didnít get anything done. I had 3,271 steps but that is all. I did play a few games on my tablet and watched a little tv. It is time to get busy today.

It is a good day. It is 30 degrees this morning when I woke up and that is great. It will be a little more cloudy today and that is okay. The storm drains are still frozen so they need to get out there and get them thawed so there is somewhere for the water to go. It sounds like a serious flood prediction is setting up. They are looking for volunteers to fill 1 million sand bags starting now. Yesterday was a good day. I walked about 20 minutes and had a total of 5,311 steps for the day. I did 3 loads of laundry and a few other small things around the house. Today I have an appointment with the eye doctor and we will see if the surgery has kept the pressures down in my eye so I can continue to stay off the eye drops for glaucoma. I am hoping.

I had a birthday lunch with a good friend. We had a good time laughing and reminiscing about old times. Additionally, I had another good friend and her husband come to visit our church.
She knows people there, and seemed to enjoy herself. Hopefully, she can make it again another time.

Hello on this Monday morning. It will be cloudy with chance of snow flurries today but still in the low 30ís. Yesterday was not a bad day but I just didnít get a lot done. I did 25 minutes of walking and had a total of 4,313 steps for the day. It is a little better than the day before. Every step counts. I have so many things I need to get done. I will work on it a little at a time. As long as I keep putting things away and not letting it get all cluttered that is a plus. I canít wait till I can get some fresh air in here and that always helps me with my breathing.

Following church this afternoon, a friend and I went out to celebrate my birthday, just a tad early.
Tonight since my bf didn't go out with the girls he and I will be going to a corned beef and cabbage dinner which is put on by the Lions Club. He needs to get out of the house.

Great job Richard. Whatever you are doing it seems to be working for you.

Good morning. It is going to be another nice day today and sun will shine. The temperatures are warming into the 30ís and that feels so much better. Yesterday was a good day but very quiet. I was a little short of breath and didnít do much of anything. Had a visit from my Son Rick and he brought my two great grandsons. I canít believe that Caius is already 6 years old and Ezra is now 3. How fast they grow. They are such good boys. My son is a good grandfather. I didnít do too much walking but had a total of 3, 370 steps for the day which is better than none. I need to do better. Of to get started on todayís steps. See you soon. Have a good Sunday.

Richard, I am also using my fitness pal to track. I am glad it is working for you.
I don't like the sound of the weather, my friends. So far, we have had a warming trend. It has been somewhat cool with sporadic rain. I am hoping we will have a nice and quiet Spring.

I have been treating an infection again. Went to ER day before yesterday. After that, I have been resting. Hopefully the meds will kick in and I will have more energy.

It is Friday and we are coming to the end of another week. It has been an active week weather wise and now it looks like it will warm up some and settle down. Looks like some good melting. I am looking forward to it, Yesterday was quiet but I did some walking and had a total of 5,246 steps for the day. I got some small things done and cooked a new recipe for dinner. It was a chicken tetrazzini deluxe and turned out very good. It made a lot and from what they say it freezes well so will put some in the freezer,. I like meals like that. It is so nice to be able to pull something out of the freezer and just reheat it. There are days I sure donít feel like cooking. Hailleyís skin is slowly improving and that makes me happy, Hope you all have a good weekend.

The weather prediction for the north does not look good. I hope yíall keep safe and warm. Living here in the south I sometimes forget that it is cold up north. But I do remember blizzards, they were not fun.

Jane, just finished a book like that.

Well, we are in the throws of another winter storm. We will have blizzard like conditions today and schools are closed. It really hasnít snowed all that much or if it has, it has melted. It is 32 degrees out right now so more a sleet and very wet snow that is melting as it falls. They do say that another round is moving in and it will get colder so that is when it will probably get going. I am hoping that we are done with it and that it was all hype, Yesterday I had a total of 4,367 steps for the day. I did a lot of just small things around the house. Nothing that really took much energy. I have been quite short of breath with these weather changes but nothing I canít handle. Just need to take it easy. Hope everyone is doing well.

Jane glad you are feeling so well. That is quite a picture of you skipping down the street.

Hello on this middle of the week day. The storm will start late this afternoon with rain and then change to snow with lots of wind. We are having a lot of roof collapses here from all the snow and it is not pretty. We need to start to get rid of some of this snow. Yesterday was a pretty good day for me.. I did 25 minutes of walking and had 6,167 total steps for the day. I did 3 loads of laundry and a few other little things around the house, Barb brought dinner and we had a good visit. The sun was out and it got to 38 degrees and that was very welcome. Hailley is starting to show signs of her skin healing. Life could be so much worse so I am going to look at it as a good day.

Good Morning. I am dug out again and hope we donít have any more measurable snow this year. We ended up with over 9 inches and it was a wet snow so heavy. My deck is completely engulfed in snow. It is about the rail all over. It is still Ė 5 this morning so cold. It will warm into the 20ís and be sunny. That sounds nice. We are now going into another bad spell with drizzle today and tomorrow will be rain turning to snow and on Thursday it sounds like snow and very high winds into the 60 mph. Not a nice forecast. The upside is that it will be in the upper 20ís to the 30ís. I like the sound of that. It does sound like the temperatures are finally going to warm up a little. Yesterday I walked a little and had a total of 4,276 steps. I had my ENT appointment and since there is no change will not have another biopsy and that makes me so happy.

I do have a cell but it is for emergencies. I stopped giving it to business as they would call if before my home phone and then I would scramble to find where my purse was and get the cell out. This would happen even if I requested that my home phone be called first.

That is extremely frustrating. I always feel more at ease with a working phone. Do you have a cell. Might not work either, but could be a backup

My infection is back, or perhaps another one. I am going to see the Doctor this afternoon. Ugh. I was just there two days ago. I might as well take a room.

I unplugged the split plug for the phone and it works fine now. The problem is I cannot use the phone if there is not power. The split meant I could have a phone that does not need electricity or the hand held one that does. grrrrrrr

Sharon I am sorry about all the messy snow and rain. I am so glad I live in the tropics and may get a lot of rain but it is not cold.

I also missed church this morning. Iím going to blame it on the time change. I stayed up late last night and realized that I was going to lose an hour sleep. Well, I didnít really lose it because my alarm rang, I meant to push snooze button, but turned it off. Didnít wake up til 10:30.

The storm is over and we got about 8 inches of new wet snow. What a mess. Looks like three more days in a row next week with rain and snow and sure hope it doesnít amount to much. At least the rain means the temperatures will be warmer but we need some sunshine to help melt some of this snow. Yesterday was a good day with good breathing. I walked for 20 minutes and had 5,292 total steps for the day. I dusted the furniture and cleaned the bathroom all except for the floor. I will try be as productive today. I have started Hailley on her new meds and we will see how that works. Sure hope it helps. I hope everyone has a great day today.

I am glad to see that the technical issues were satisfactorily resolved.
Jane, you did better than I. I didn't make it to church this morning. I know I have an infection and suspect that it might have something to do with my lack of energy and focus.
I hated to miss because this is the first Sunday that they have begun to mix our two worship services. I am looking forward to meeting the other members and extend my church family.

I was planning on returning home tomorrow, but I will have to wait and see how I feel.

Hope you get your phone fixed soon.

I went to church this morning, came home and took a long nap. Not sure what is going on.

I also found out from a friend that people cannot call me even though I can call out. Not sure what has happened. Hope to get that fixed tomorrow which is Monday here.

Today was a quiet day for me. I ran a few errands. Then I watched a movie my father was anxious for me to see. Not my choice of genre, but it did have some good humor.

@CHIPOMP47 ok hope this helps

1) Go to your start page - the page where you are when logged on
2)Right under the word 'start' click on accounts / preferences
3)Click on Community
4) There are a few items listed in blue but look just below that
5) it says SparkPoints - put a check in the sparkpoint and fitness to be posted to messages

THen when you post a message under your profile picture you will see
Sparkpoint (in red the amount)
Fitness points
Postas

@CHIPOMP47 = so you are wanting to add your sparkpoints under your picture when you post - that I am not sure of as I don't see that on any other messages from people. I can see the amount of 'posts' that they have done but not sparkpoints.


You might have to go to site/technical support and ask them

Ok I have just gone to my Sparkpage and looked for what you asked about - it is not on there.

So I will have a look to see where to get it onto your messages - I know I have it on mine so will see what I did.

Sparkpoints on your page - have to look this up but when you go to your sparkpage click on edit and then at the top right hand corner isn't it mentioned there somewhere.

Good morning this fine Wednesday morning. It is 0 degrees out there this morning and will be about 11 degrees for our high today. The sun will shine and hopefully no wind. I am feeling pretty good this morning. Yesterday was a good but quiet day,, I walked for 20 minutes with 4,361 total steps for the day. I did a few small chores around the house and that was good. Today I would like to get some bigger chores done. Time will tell. Barb brought dinner last night and we had a nice chat and enjoyed some relaxing time together. I always enjoy my night with her.

Not sure how I have missed this topic.

Exercising for 10 minutes at a time is encouraged by SP for beginners. If you cannot do that do what you can and build up to the ten. For many of us that is a challenge.

Glad you are with us Marilyn. The main this is do not give up.

It is sure slow going but that is fine with me - like watching the number increase. And I am looking forward to meeting my goal for the month. On saying that I need to go and put a few minutes on the treadmill now

Also have to work at getting some core strength exercise in as my core is week - but all will come in time.

Marilyn, I have no doubt that if you continue to walk everyday on the treadmill you will be able to increase your time. It is slow going and increase by 1 or two minutes at a time. That is how I did it and I started walking for 3 minutes at a time 5 times a day. I was able to make it up to 60 minutes a day with 3 walks of 15 minutes each. It worked for me.

Have a goal for March - to walk on treadmill for 4 - 8 miles for the month. I can only walk on it in small spurts of about 2 minutes at a time but am praying that by the end of March I will be able to increase that up to more like 5 minutes.

It is cold and the sun is out under a thin layer haze. It will become very windy and colder during the day. Tomorrow another ground blizzard type storm. Just wind and blowing snow. This winter is getting long and very tiring. It just seems to keep going. Yesterday was a fairly good day. I didnít do a lot but had a total of 3,321 steps for the day. I hope to do better today. I have already walked more so that helps. I am going to make this short today because I am going to try accomplish something. Hope you all have a good weekend.
