Hot, hot, hot. Hiding in house with air conditioner. Need to close blinds to block the afternoon sun. Will do that now.

It is beautiful today. 72 degrees, slight breeze and blue skies. The Oregon Coast is awesome.

Despite the calendar saying it is summer, the weather is still spring like here too. grey and in the 50s this morning. However, I must say, I am glad we aren't fighting fire season. I think this throwback to my childhood weather might have something to do with the lack of pollution when we were all in lock down.

Our "spring" weather has been rain and sun. I have planted my garden and the rain has watered it. I have mowed my lawn and it seems to grow before my very eyes. It is so nice to live here on the coast.

I caught your thought on that Cathy. emoticon Going to get the pattern now. emoticon

Yes - we have our starts in our greenhouse out front. Porch just got up over the weekend, so I am relishing the open space. I've let DH have all the floor space in our new apartment. HA! He asked why I don't want to move in?!? What? He has stuff everywhere. I've allowed him this luxury as he's spent his whole life cleaning up each job site, immaculate, at the end of every day. I'm congratulating myself on the forethought now as I politely told him I was happy to wait until it was all done. No sense cleaning up. Except the porch. I am not giving it back. emoticon

I would have your sun porch filled with plants.

I have been sewing masks with straps while waiting on elastic. No more requests are coming in, but I think we will have a renewed need for them in September. So, I plan to sew up all the fabric.

I could not find elastic! So I think the jeans will work - waiting for elastic ears.

The wind is relentless here. So thankful that we got our new porch/deck 90% buttoned up and wind proof. Dave keeps trying to store stuff there, I keep moving it out and calling it my Yoga room. Hopeful it will sink in! emoticon

They should work. Let me know what you think. They are requesting all cotton fabrics. Not sure why, because I have a pair of stretch jeans that fell apart and I think they would make nice soft masks. I got another donation of fabric, so I am good for another month of mask making. We shall see.

I listened to our Pastor and sewed eleven masks on Easter Sunday. Was a whirlwind of activity. Got them out by Monday for the plumbers.

Well the red rock sunrise wasn't at all what you'd expect. I am glad to have tuned in, was hoping for more scenery from the park.
Chinook breeze overnight. Freezing one more night tomorrow then looks to be warm Spring days and nights forward.

Tomatoes are up waiting on green peppers. I like to get both from the nursery but not taking chances on them being sold out!

Weather forecast in the mid 70's here. Perfect Easter weather.

I'm planning on watching the Sunrise Service at the Red Rocks online. You can find it at the Colorado Council of Churches website. Join me if you wish.

We started seeds yesterday indoors. Want to direct sow lettuce, spinach and radishes next. The mornings and late afternoons are still chilly, got to buck up!

Cooler with rain and sun breaks today but I am getting the gardening itch. I keep seeing posts about the victory gardens. I can at least plant some of the old seeds I have laying around in the house and see if I can sprout anything indoors. That might be fun.

I remember a Spring Break back in the 80s we sat on the beach in Seaside in 70 degree weather. That said, I really hope the snow stays on the mountains a bit longer.

About an hour North of Portland, the back porch thermometer says it is in the low 60s. Hope to get some yard stuff done today.

Mid 60s for our high here, in Oregon, USA (I am about an hr south of Portland).
Since yesterday and through the weekend. Then a huge temperature drop and rain, come Monday.

Way warmer than usual for late March.
