Thinking may make vegetarian chili today in the crockpot! It's to be a snowy sort of day-and chili is one of our favorite comfort foods to enjoy!!

My husband is so belittling and critical, that I can make a recipe directly from the Betty Crocker Cookbook (he never uses one) and he will find something to complain about it, so he does the cooking and he uses the crock pot, but I don't bother mentioning an IP since he would have something negative to say about it. I'm sure they do well.

Planning on making an acorn squash in the instapot for this evening's meal. I put the whole squash in, after piercing the outer shell, add a cup of water and in about 8 minutes it's done. Take it out-cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, add a bit of butter and salt substitute to each half, back in the pot for a bit (as it's still hot)--and our meal is ready!

emoticon There are so many ways to help lessen the stress when it comes to preparing meals nowadays. And, sometimes, cooking/baking can even help lower your stress as it can help get your mind on things that you enjoy--trying new recipes, the aroma of freshly prepared meals (love the smell of freshly baked bread) and more!

But, when we need a emoticon quick and easy way to prepare meals, small appliances like a slow cooker, Instapot (pressure cooker), steamer, etc., can come in handy! I love using the Instapot--as in a matter of minutes-supper is done!!
