I hear ya - I've had the same problem too. I do my schoolwork up until I leave for work. Back up until May of this year I was getting a good 20 minute walk at work, but we had a coworker leave and I've been training the new hires. Now that we're up to speed and have a full staff, I am so stressed that I can't even get that walk in because the new hires haven't gotten their production up and I feel I need to stay there and get the work done. I had my work evaluation a week ago and I told my boss that I need to have that break in the evening if not to help with the stress. I haven't done it yet, but I hope to get started on that soon.

I like the idea of reading and walking. I will soon start on memorizing medical terminology to get ready for my certification exams and I think that will be beneficial. Thing is with me, I like to read that outloud! LOL - don't want anyone hearing me talk to myself!

What I have been doing is taking whatever reading I have for my class with me on my walk. I read as a walk. It is a challenge but I know Im being productive

I have been using the digital voice recorder app I put on my cell to dictate my papers while working out (volume muted of course) then I shower and type up and edit what I "wrote" to polish it. My papers actually take less time this way.

I think it's just one of those things you have to make time for. I haven't been exercising at all since the semester started and I find myself making excuses like I have so much homework or there's just not enough time, but I'm going to have to make time and just do it or I will never lose weight. I need to make a routine for myself so I get into the habit of exercising and doing my homework and keep it balanced.

When I first started working on my new lifestyle I was focusing so much on it that I wasn't doing my homework like I should. Logging into sparkpeople to track my food, blogging...not that it bad to do that...it's just I haven't found the balance so that I'm get work homework done and still maintain a schedule to workout.

I'm having a hard time, too. I even have my workouts *scheduled* for times when the daycare doesn't want me picking up my DD (nap time, basically), yet on Thursday I opted to stay on campus and study with a classmate. I don't even know what to say about that.

I tried to get up early the next morning...yeah, didn't work for me. So I really haven't figured it out yet. I'm still eating a lot better but I know that exercise plays a major role as well. Still search for an answer.

I am trying to balance out school and work and I haven't been successful. I'm either doing more working out and lesson homework or vice versa. Any suggestions?
