Yes but it works surprisingly better if you eat it raw! Try it.

Thank you POPOF4, does that work if it's cooked?

I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

I got tired of starting over and working back to where I was, so I have stopped giving up!

My blood pressure meds include a "water pilll". It does an excellent job of keeping my BP under control without my ankles and hands swelling. But if you want a natural water pill eat a whole bell pepper. They are majic you might even lose 2 pounds of water weight after doing it.

This might sound crazy but I have found if I am feeling bloated, I drink more water. If you have no other health issues, if you body is retaining water you are most likely dehydrated and your body is holding on to it for future use. Sometimes we forget that our body was built to take care of itself.

It is normal 4 a woman to retain fluid at certain times of the month. If that is your problem, and it bothers u that much I would try natural ways to to get ride of excess fluid. I always found that when the curse came I would start losing the fluid. Occasionally I would use multi-symptom Midol or Pamprin.

Oh, sorry... some people with heart problems or blood pressure problems are prescribed diuretics and they are necessary... but if they are not necessary then they are usually not recommend.

Yes, unfortunately they are very addicting..kinda like sleeping pills. When u stop using you bloat up and it takes a while to regulate back to normal. They also deplete your body of potassium which, if potassium is too low (or too high) can make you horridly sick. I retain water but you can find natural foods such as fresh pineapple which helps your digestive system and water retention. It's a lot safer that way.

Water pills are diuretics. They basically pull water from the body (hence the frequent bathroom trips) and can be life saving for some, life threatening for others. I've never heard of someone being addicted to a diuretic but a lot of over the counter diuretics have caffeine, and we do know those are addictive. The potential side effects are numerous and complicated, so use with caution and only use as directed.

I take water pills for my blood pressure. I don't take it everyday. I take it on days when I do a lot of walking and when the weather is extremely hot and humid. Those are the days that I retain water. I haven't found them to be addicting at all. The down side is you go to the bathroom a lot.

Do you use water pills on a regular basis? Have you ever had a problem with them?

Do you think they can become addicting?
