Only girls at my place emoticon

I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

I got tired of starting over and working back to where I was, so I have stopped giving up!

I have a strict close-the-lid policy in my home also. When my honey moved in he resisted closing the lid because he thought it was some kind of weird control thing. I had to explain to him that I don't want my cat drinking out of the toilet, and after that it was a non-issue.

I always close the lid (we have dogs in the house). Seat up or seat down is not our issue. FLUSH the freakin' toilet and close the lid is our issue!

before I began my sit down always program- I used to wipe up every time too. But I must admit resistance to the lid thing before then. I figured if I had to raise it every time, why shouold I also lower it ever time. Sitting always fixed that issue though. Now it's just....... see new thread.

I never knew how much of an issue this was! My partner doesn't seem to splash (though I know he sometimes sits when he is tired or drunk), but he is particular about germs and messiness. I guess he has been cleaning up after himself this whole time. Huh, I never knew!

That was the one Curb Your Enthusiasm episode I have seen! LOL

I am fortunate, my live in boyfriend generally sits down to go. Any man that thinks it's less manly should get over and do it to keep the women in his life happy!

I am very fortunate that my boyfriend is very clean. He tells me that after he pisses in the toilet, he wipes down the rim with toilet paper. And he ALWAYS puts the seat down. Now, my two little boys are a complete different story. They pee everywhere but the toilet I swear. And being the push over I am, I clean it up every day emoticon

KJ, I swear I am not making this up. There is a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode where Larry is taking a medication than makes him piss like a racehorse, splashing everything in sight. There's an issue with a picture hanging in the bathroom and the owner of the house thinking a miracle has occurred.

I try my best not to use the same bathroom DH uses. Sometimes when we are on vacation, I don't have a choice. It's just not good for our happy marriage to only have one bathroom.

I do the same thing! I absolutely refuse to clean my boys' bathroom. They do it themselves.

I have a similar problem to Jennifer, a 13 year old kid (who's 5'8") and two 6' men. Here's how I solve my problem. I don't clean the bathroom. I don't piss all over the whole room, they do, so they take turns cleaning it. I'm pretty demanding about it too, the toilet and floor have to be cleaned every day. Boys are gross.

And all the strange rock and rollers
You know you're doing all right
So hold on to each other
You gotta hold on tonight

Living in a house with 3 boys/men, this is definitely an issue!! And, since my husband is 6'1", my younger son is 5'8" and growing, and my older son is 6'5", I don't think height has anything to do with it.

For years I have always sat down (at home) I made my 12 year old do the same. Much, much cleaner. Ever been at a urinal where there is water on the floor and you can see little droplets splattering 4 feet away? The wall is usually a few feet away at home. I heard Howard Stearn talking about it about 4 or 5 years ago and it just made sense. If you have a sissy complex, I say stand up like a man and hose away though!

Not sure if this is a regional word or what but when I was a little boy my Mom would tell me not to make "sissy" at the toilet and that if I wasn't sure if I was gonna do that or not I had to take off my pants to pee or sit down (ugh, never, I knew my Sister sat down and I hated her!).

Making "sissy" is when you splash pee on yourself somewhere; pant leg, ON leg if you're wearing shorts, on the floor next to the bowl, anywhere but in the bowl. My Mom had said that grown men who are short have to keep worrying about this problem but others don't.

o_O!? MOM! What the heck!?

True enough, though. emoticon

I know, all men have to respond that they do NOT have that problem and that in fact they have a different problem that the water in the toilet is too cold and deep, LOL!
