Hi everyone,
I am new to this team and new to wearing a pedometer. I bought one last weekend and just started wearing it this week. Wow, I was so surprised to see how truly "sedentary" my lifestyle is. I usually get in at least one cardio workout daily - walking, treadmill, or elliptical. In addition, I go to yoga classes 3 days a week. However, the rest of the time I work from home spending most of my day behind the computer. I have also recently injured my right knee/leg and am awaiting the results of a MRI. This has put a bit of a damper on my workouts as I have had to lower my pace to avoid further injury. After wearing the pedometer for a week, I have set my initial goal for August to achieve between 10,000 and 12,000 steps a day. Hopefully I will be able to get my steps up over time and can put in some more respectable results!
