I've been focusing on exercises for my triceps: dumbbell triceps kick backs and triceps extensions are a couple of the exercises I'm doing. I'm trying to work off my 'bingo wings', which is appropriate for this weeks BINGO ITC.

One of my favorite exercises is yoga stretches for the lower back. They help with sciatic pain and numbness.
As far as foods--I made a veggie topping on Sundays with pepper, onion, garlic, mushrooms and spinach. I use this in omelets or as a topping on meats.

One of my favorite exercises is what my trainer calls "5 minute abs". We do 30 seconds of different exercises for abs, for 5 minutes. It's effective but not as hard as trying to do 5 minutes of the same exercise. Examples would be: plank, superman, bird dogs, bicycles, crunches, etc.

One of my healthy go to foods is unsweetened applesauce. It's portable in the small container, filling, low in sugar and only 60 calories.

I like tricep kickbacks and I just read about a new study that says tricep kickbacks is one of the top three exercises for that muscle. THe other two are triangle push ups and tricep dips. I will be trying the modified triangle push up this week.

I made seasmae shrimp with ginger broccoli for dinner last night from a Cooking Light magazine. 393 calories, 17g fat (15g unsat, 2 sat), 33g Protein, 28g carb, 6g fiber, 8g sugar (5 g added sugar), 681mg sodium (which is high for one meal), 21% DV Calcium & 22% DV Potassium. DH absolutely loved it, which is always important.

I love my rowing machine! Great workout for the whole body. And easy on the joints to boot!

On the menu today is grilled burgers with a beautiful green salad containing a variety of fresh veggies. Yum!

share to all teams an exercise I like. it feels weird to say this but I like Planks. I have been doing 4 sets of 60 seconds almost every day for the last month to 5 weeks and feel strong and abs feel and look great.

Good evening all! Just wanted to drop by and share an exercise I am doing tonight! Part of my core workout is crunches, of course, but I do mine on my stability ball. I have done them like this for years-far easier on my hips and back than on the mat! As a result, I am able to more! Sure wish my abdomen cooperated!

Hi Everyone. I am working on my Bingo and getting near the end for nutrition. My one of my favorite foods is something I often eat for a snack. It's Oikos Zero Greek yogurt. I love the vanilla yogurt with blueberries. It helps when I am short of protein and fiber.

My favorite exercise is walking. I start early in the morning and take several 10 to 20 minute walks each day. I live in the country on a dead-end gravel road. We are the last house on the road which is 1/2 mile long. I can walk to the corner and back and get in a mile. The nice thing is because there are only six houses on the road and everyone works, there is hardly any traffic on the road. I love being outdoors in the country.

An exercise I enjoy is body pump class at the gym. It's great all-over strengthening. Because I'm older and have beginning osteoporosis it also strengthen bones.

Good Morning, Everyone!! I'm loving these challenges! This weeks food I'm loving is my chicken veggie soup. So easy to make. I saute my onions and garlic in a little olive oil, then add lots of mixed veggies and the breast and broth and let it simmer until I'm hungry. Great stuff!!

I've been working on mobility stuff and this week I added a hip flexion routine that includes simply swinging my leg forward and backwards and then side to side. I have to hold on to the wall but it really is loosening up the joints! That along with a few stretches is feeling great!

Healthy eats: I made roasted radishes for the first time, paired with beets. They really do turn into a milder flavor.

An exercise I like: Walking has endless potential for mind and body. I'm currently practicing patience in building time/distance.

My healthy food choice of the day is my blueberries! I had some with my snack this afternoon! They are one of the “superfoods”, which to me says it takes almost more calories to eat them as they contain, plus the boost they are to my energy and mental health!

I don't really have a favorite exercise but I have been doing a lot of squats to help my hip. I have been really enjoying going walking with my dog or hubby. Hubby dose not always want to go with me but Onyx wants to go all the time. emoticon


I love making home made Apple sauce. I think you can get it sweeter and healthier that way. I try to use sweet apples about 6 of them. I peel them and cut them up into small peaces. Boil the peaces in water with cinnamon and nutmeg tell they are soft. Then I drain them and put them in the blender. I add in some honey if I think that it needs it. Love it and so dose my family. emoticon

My favorite exercise is walking. It is free and is the one exercise I will stick with over the long haul. The sunshine really helps how I feel, too.

Overnight oatmeal is healthy and easy to make. It can be eaten cold or hot and has many options for add-ins. Just measure out oats in a covered container, then stir in the same amount of a liquid, i.e. water, milk or a milk substitute. It is a one-to-one ratio. Stir in dried fruit, honey, nuts, etc. Cover and put in the refrigerator overnight. It will be ready in the morning. Adjustments in the oat to liquid ratio can be made the next time if you want it thinner or thicker. The best part is avoiding the mess of cooking oatmeal in the microwave.

Gleoria doing exercises for hands and fingers are also very important, I do them with one of my yoga tapes for seniors, has made a difference with the strength in hands and fingers.

My favorite exercise is walking, if I can't walk outside with Kayla and believe me she is small but mighty and keeps me moving, I walk on the treadmill.

When I looked up abductors this time I found out that these muscles or movements are not just in or for the lower body lower body. We can exercise our fingers too. Splay or spread your fingers out 12 reps 3 sets as a hand abductor exercise.

Made this for dinner on Thursday Night - it was very good:


15 minute chili

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon garlic
1 16 oz. can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1 16 oz. can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 28 oz. can chopped stewed tomatoes
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin powder
1/2 cup salsa

Directions
1. In a large pot, brown turkey with chopped onion.
2. Add beans, tomatoes, garlic, chili powder, cumin, and salsa to turkey mixture. Cook until hot.
3. Serve with cornbread, cooked pasta, cooked rice, or on top of a baked potato. Sprinkle with cheese if desired.

Makes 4 servings.

My all time favorite exercise is to get on my road bike and just ride. I love the feeling of using my body to get where I am going. I just wish I lived in a place that was more bike friendly.

I brought 1 cup of Greek yogurt with copped apples, cinnamon, and a little granola for my breakfast while working overnight tonight. I absolutely fell in love with Greek yogurt the first time I tried it.

It is 5 weeks since my gastric sleeve surgery. My weight loss as slowed. I am getting to eat tuna, low fat cottage cheese, yogurt ( no fruit or goodies) and some pasta. Everything like vegetables or pasta has to be really cooked. Today I had 2 ounces of BBQ tuna and 2 ounces of creamy cole slaw. It didn't make my stomach hurt so I can have that again for a meal. My daughter cut up watermelon, cantaloupe and honey dew melon tonight. So in the morning instead of yogurt 4 ounces of mixed fruit. YEAH! I am glad I had the surgery. It just take adjusting to eating really slow and only eating 4 ounce or 1/2 cup of food for a meal. But I am feeling better. I am in better moods. I want to exercise that's how good I feel. Just wanted to up date all of you.
