Victory story - I have been using a cane for the past 13 years, due to a collapsed disc at L5-S1 that I suffered after almost getting into a car accident.

Since I've now lost 79 pounds, I have been able to walk without it for short bits, but yesterday I didn't use it all, even in the grocery store! Praise the Lord, He is blessing me in so many ways! All is possible with Jesus!

It's been a while since I've posted in here. The move is officially over and everything has been unpacked and either put away, donated, or put into storage. Some stuff had to wind up in the trash cause it wasn't good for any of the above. There are a few things I need to purchase - Video cabinets (2), a bookshelf to store my books and extra things on and I'd love to get a couple of bar stools cause my dining room is my office. My kitchen table and chairs are in storage.

I was down yesterday with a migraine and nausea. I rarely get the nausea so that just added another depth of suffering. But God is gracious and I'm not hurting today. And today is my Friday so after the bank tonight, I'm done with my week.

This weekend I need to update a page for a client. I guess I'm just going to concede that I'm doing this thing for free. Not exactly happy with that, but I've not seen any money from it. Well, it does give me experience.

I think that's about it. I need to get my coffee drank then start getting myself together for today. I live about one minute from my morning client's home so I won't have to leave until about five til nine, but still. I need to find some food and get dressed, bed made, etc. Morning stuff. Have a great day!

I have a new mid-afternoon snack grouping I called Power Snack. 2 cups raw cauliflower florets, 2 baby cucumbers with peels, and 8 grape tomatoes. 84 calories and I am FULL! YUM!

How is everyone doing? I went to my volunteer job today - I do office work twice a week at a hospice until I find a full-time job - and now I am catching up with my groups.

I came back to the team boards yesterday. I've been struggling a great deal lately with pain and how its if effecting my life and ability to function. I started crying when I read Tuesday's daily devotional. Literally Monday evening I went to our local farm truck to get more of the amazing corn. the gentlemen saw how much pain I was in and trouble walking. We got to talking and he asked if he could pray over me, and he anointed my forehead with oil. that is the first time I have had anyone offer that and to see it in the devotional for that same day....it was meant to be.
Today's devotional also hits at my hear too.

I know He meant for me to come back and tap into my faith. Thank you

Good morning! Well, the move is officially over. Now comes the unpacking and figuring out what gets donated and what goes into storage. This place IS smaller than the other. My goal for today - after shopping and bill paying - is to clear out my office area and get my desk set up.

I am, as of right now 2.6 pounds from my first goal weight. I set a new goal a few weeks back to get into my healthy weight range which is 105 - 141. I think the 105 is way too low for me. I've chosen an ultimate goal weight of 130. I'm going to be 50, so I don't think that is unreasonable

Have a great day!

But, first things first. I need more coffee.

You have been in my prayers, Dreama, and things are sure to go your way since you are working on your goals. I've been staying away from the computer because it hurt my sprain to sit here but today it is well enough to type one handed. I agree with you; 15 pounds is not "just" ! It's hard work to lose it. We are in a helpful team that encourages each of us, though, and it is good to have wellness buddies. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Happy summer!

Helen: I honestly don't remember what grade I got on that paper.

I need to refocus my efforts. I've been sick most of the month so far so exercising has been almost out of the question. Lack of finances and also too many temptations that I allow myself have also stalled my weight loss. I seem to have settled in at 145 right now. I still have 15 pounds to my goal weight AND a wedding to be in in August, so I'm going to start doubly focusing. We say 'just 15 pounds' but those 15 can be so stubborn.

Trying to wake up. I've a few things that need to get done this day: Laundry and a few dishes. I need to do some sort of exercise. Time with the Lord. Have a wonderful day.

Hi, Dreama emoticon I hope your paper was a success. It is a memory now just like my sprain will be a memory. I like reading the devotional message. It always gives me Christian things to think about. One of my students from 2 years ago is here visiting. She's asked to fiddle around with my sparkpage collection of images so I gave her permission knowing she has Christian standards. I am going offline while she finishes it so I can approve it before I use it. I'm going to settle into my resting chair while my aspirin works. Take care emoticon emoticon

Helen: The jobs went great. I came home and dropped I was so exhausted.

Cleaning products I recommend: Now these are not 'natural' products. There are a few of those that I do like but not many.
Lysol toilet bowl cleaner with the black label
Also "The Works" in the toilet bowl cleaner and the bathroom cleaner both work really well.
CLR Kitchen and Bathroom is my go-to cleaner for any kitchen and keeps the hard water stains at bay.
Magic Erasers - my 'Best invention of the 20th Century' nomination.
Brillo Pads (soap pads) for cleaning stainless steal sinks and stove tops and built up grease on refridgerators. As long as the stoves are not glass or ceramic.
For glass top stoves - Weiman's stove top cleaning kit - with the razor and cleaner/polish works best. That and a ton of elbow grease
Barkeeper's Friend in both powder and liquid - similar to soft scrub - are phenomenal. I got a yellow ring off my tub with that and it works great on stainless steal sinks, porcelain, and granite and won't stain your clothes.

I am wondering how your cleaning jobs went? It is hard work that involves a lot of reaching and bending. Do you have favorite cleaning products? I've added you to my personal prayer list!

Prayers please. Today is going to be a very long day. I have one house a 8:00 - my normal Friday house then a post-move out house. And he's going to want everything done all the way to washing the walls. No telling how long I'm going to be today. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

You know - when I surrendered to the Lord, I wasn't looking for salvation, nor an eternal reward. I just knew I could not continue on the way I'd been going. I couldn't do it anymore and I needed help. Praising Yeshua for the help I needed! emoticon

Good morning! I'm just waking up. I have two days off this week! Praising God for that. I'll get another two days off later (maybe not in a row) this month, then Christmas and New Years. I don't very often get two days off. I'm going to relish them.

I do, however, have a long to-do list. I've got to get my bills paid. Create a menu. Go shopping. Do laundry, and exercise. It's still going to be a long day.

Have a great day!

Had surgery (cataract removal / upgraded lens implant) yesterday on my left eye ... right eye surgery was Oct 2. Now it’s a matter of healing. First left eye post-op and final right eye post-op today. Sooooo many eye drops to take. Small inconvenience which will all pass soon. emoticon

What a week it has been. Last Saturday starting I moved my daughter to Cheyenne then an emergency trip to Cheyenne to rescue her (she is legally blind and dropped her phone) then back again on Tuesday to pick her up and bring her home. I know I didn't really prepare her for living on her own, but geez. So she is home and going to be contemplating a different career path.

I joined this team quite a while back, but was not active. I recently decided to join you all and get some walking in. I was delighted to find the topic: Inspiring Song of the Day. I just finished my walk listening to/singing Jehovah Jireh. What a worshipful experience praising God while exercising my body. I ended with tears in my eyes and my cup overflowing with heartfelt praise. Thank you for providing us with songs to keep our hearts and minds on our Lord and Savior, RHOOK. Definitely a worthwhile ministry to this team. emoticon

Please continue to keep my daughter in your prayers. She is legally blind and they do have a bus service, but for her getting around is more difficult. She does have sight, but . . .super blurry even with glasses. Her name is Naomi. Pray that God will send His angels to watch over my baby girl.

Oh!! She only lives 1 mile from her school so she could walk it if she wants to. And she lives within walking distance (less than a mile) from several places she can find employment at.

Good morning! Well, yesterday my daughter acknowledged that she should have listened to me concerning getting her room packed. Today is moving day and yesterday she packed her room. It took her all day. I don't even know if she finished her laundry.

Today we take her to Cheyenne then get her situated. After is going to be shopping. So, another busy day today.

Have a great day!

Good morning! Goodness!! It has been such a busy week. I'm so ready for it to stop. Today's agenda: one house to clean and then my daughter has a dentist appointment. It's bill paying day and exercise. I'm also trying to get that bank scrubbed. I got another section done last night so that is two of five sections done. I've got to come up with a menu as well.

My daughter is moving on Saturday. She'll be 45 minutes away in Cheyenne. Trying to get her kicked in her booty to get her laundry finished and get her room packed. Every time I talk to her about it, it's like I trying to pull teeth. And she thinks she's ready to move? It's just going to take getting her out of here to get her to grow up. Not happy with her procrastinating.

Well, I'm going to figure out some breakfast and continue waking up. Have a great day.

I won't be on very long this morning. I have to head out in about 40 minutes. I still need to figure out some breakfast and then get dressed, strip my bed - sheet changing day. . . and here I am 'playing'.

Today I have one house to clean, going to the post office, bank, and then shopping. Then I can get home and get my house beat into shape. The web page I'm working on needs some more work. I came across another glitch - when I'm hold my phone horizontal, it works, but when I turn it vertically, all but the header and navigation menu disappear. I'm going to have to figure out the fix for that. If I'm able this weekend I'm also going to see if I can't locate some code to create an interactive calendar. I think she forgot I'm a novice.

Well, time to figure out the food thing. That is most important. Have a great day.

Last night I tried to watch some preaching before going to bed. I held out until 8:30 then had to shut off the light. I just woke up a little bit ago. So, eleven hours of sleep last night. Can't say I didn't need it, but wow! My Friday evening was gone

Today I've got to get my house done as well as working on a web page. I'm trying to get the drop down menu to drop down but it keeps wanting to pop out to the side. I'll get it.

Have a great day! I've got to get some coffee in me.

This is so true. I've not hit my goal weight, but looking at myself, my arms are toned as well as my legs. The only thing hanging on is that baby (or is it Pringles) gut. And I'm getting older. I'm in better health today than I was - to an extent - more aches and pain.

Well!! I had a whole lot more typed out then hit something or other on my keyboard and it's gone! Ah well! Have a great night!

Fortunately, we are given a chance to try again each day, each season, whatever we need. I have been at this for almost 10 years, and although I am no where near my goal, I am healthier than I was when I joined. We thankfully have today to start over!

I did not make my goal weight over the summer. I'm trying to get at least 20 minutes on the elliptical per day, but I've not met that goal yet. I always seem to be worn out from work. I sit down to eat some dinner and I'm trying to not do a face plant into my food.

With the change of seasons approaching, it's time to review if we met our goals for the summer, and make some new goals starting this fall. I love autumn season the best because we see a cool down and God does his masterful art on our sceneries with the beautiful autumn colors. Let's take time and set a goal for the autumn to work on both our bodies and our spirits!

I plan to spend at least 20 minutes each day on the treadmill, and will read scriptures while I am walking on it.

Let Go and Let God!

I don't post a lot in this group although I love the inspirational quotes that are posted daily - especially the Bible verses.

I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I've been hired to build a website for a friend of mine and then to redesign the other website I built for her. It took hours today before I was able to sit down and start work on it. I can certainly tell I'm a novice. But, experience will be great. I'm a better hands on learner than I am reading an instruction manual. Best thing is, she is a Christian as well.

Well, I'm going to browse the internet for a while. I've quite a few things saved from facebook I want to read and/or watch. Most of them are close to an hour or better long. I'm not sure I want to be up that long.

Have a great night/day! And may God richly bless you!

I could not sleep last night. I think I finally fell asleep around 4:30. Prayers I make it through the day. I can nap after my second house - around 4:00. It's 8:30 right now and I have a house in an hour-and-a-half.

I wanted to say Hello! I joined last week and I'm glad to find this team! My husband and I have been praying for a way to move closer to our Son and God provided that way last week so for the next few weeks life will be crazy as pack, put our house up for sell and move. It's only across the state, but still a challenge and I know I'll be more tempted than ever to overeat and not exercise! Praying God will guide me through this.

Today, Saturday, Oct 29th is NATIONAL FORGIVENESS DAY 2016

Pretty sure no one would dare to say that he or she has done nothing wrong to anyone or have not been done wrong by anybody because everyone else has its flaws and imperfections. It’s just the way it is. We admit it that at some point in our life, one way or another, we know somebody who constantly offends us, or have offended us in the past. Today is day to release your forgiveness over them. After all, you might have also done the same way to some people who are dearest to you.

National Forgiveness Day is celebrated every Last Saturday of the month of October.

National Forgiveness Day will celebrate its 8th annual observance this year. Some groups and organizations established and sponsor kinds of holiday in resemblance with this special day. Global Forgiveness Day is celebrated on August 27; Forgiveness Day is observed on June 26; International Forgiveness Day is held every First Sunday of August.

We can trace back its little history when USA and Canada had its first National Forgiveness Day proclaimed in 1994. Canada celebrates this day up to now and renamed it Global Forgiveness Day. While USA, after it died out after 3 years, it was reborn when the Centre of Unconditional Love held a rally on the last Saturday of October in 2006 in Ohio.

There’s no information that directly shows any proclamation of these holidays and how they are related with each other; how it began, though the reason behind it is very explicit. These holidays may have different dates but one thing is apparently profound. It clearly offers a very impeccable opportunity for every single individual to give chance to relationships that has been torn apart because of conflicts and misunderstandings and go through the process of restoration and wholeness. Having said that, is it not right to rather take advantage of this day regardless of when it is to be properly celebrated? I may say it’s not the date, but the thought that counts.

Nothing to Lose this National Forgiveness Day

Since this is a day set aside for celebration of unconditional love, a kind of love that keeps no records of wrong done to a person, does not display itself haughtily, never expects something in return, and the kind of love which God bestowed upon His most wonderful creation, mankind; let’s make the most out of it. It may be easier to say than to execute but really you are doing a great act of kindness for yourself if you try to release forgiveness over a person. It may be costly and sacrificial, but you got nothing to lose, except for your pride.

By so doing, you are also delivering yourself from a deeper damage in your moral, social, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual condition that you might experience in the future. Forgiveness will cause you to attain:

A healthier physical body
- According to medical studies and research, forgiveness causes incredible health outcomes such as lowering the chances of Hypertension, various Cancers, Heart and Kidney problems, Stroke, Immune System disorder and all other life-threatening diseases.

Stronger relationships
- Holding on to the past hurts and other baggage will greatly affect how you deal with your relationship to people. In forgiving, you will be free from hostility, bitterness, despair, fretfulness, anxiety, anger, stress, guilt, condemnation, becoming negative and critical and isolation from people. You will be spared from a greater damage in the future.

Liberty of your soul
- Releasing forgiveness will cause you to experience such liberty that is incomparable to any value of money. Nobody can buy such freedom from a hurtful situation. But through a genuine love and acceptance, you are opening your door for a happier and well satisfied life, with full understanding that you got to live your life to the fullest every day.

Forgiveness is a choice that you will do every single day and a dose to a healthy lifestyle and longevity of a lifespan on earth.

Ways to celebrate National Forgiveness Day:
Forgive your offender. You don’t have to wait for someone to say “Sorry”. Decide to forgive and let them know that they’re forgiven.
Spread the news about this special day. Encourage them to do the same thing.
Share the benefits you can achieve from forgiveness.

I got home & weighed 200 lbs. I haven't weighed that forever. I'm down to 194.0 lbs. now. Yeah for me! Jill, I just read your page about your MIL & BIL. That's so sad about your BIL.
It's typical of older people in their 80's & 90's. I worked in a hospital for over 20 years, & then I went to home health, which I totally loved, but it was hard on your vehicle. I'm not doing real
good today since my fall. I'm going to lay down for a hour or so & then finish up the rest of my teams. I hope everyone has a Blessed Day on the Lord's Day! LYL! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Always Be Strong! LYL!

Went to see MIL and it was a little depressing. There was no good news about my husbands brother. The car accident that he was in, is turning out to be a nightmare for them. It turns out the lady that hit the truck was an illegal immigrant and she did not have any insurance on the vehicle that she was driving. It wasn't even registered.

Now my BIL is facing massive medical bills that insurance isn't going to be able to cove all of them.

The neurologist that he has seen has already declared him disabled. But as I explained that to my husbands mom. That doesn't do him any good, for his medical. Because he has to be disabled for two years before Medicare will cover his medical conditions.

My in laws are in the mid 70's and my FIL is still having to work full time. They just can't afford any more bills. I can't understand why or how this happens in this country. Yes, he has Obama care, but that is a joke. My brother in law still couldn't afford it even though he was working and wound up being fined almost 900.00 for this insurance and of course my in laws wound up having to help him pay it.

You say why couldn't he afford it. Well he was injured before in another car accident with a big truck. It resulted in massive head trauma and that guy wasn't insured either.

My brother in law lost his left eye and had to have 3 metal plates in his head. This makes it difficult for him to find and keep work. As he also has to take anti-depressants on a regular basis. Most employers do not want to deal with this. So his income isn't that great.

I don't understand in a country that is supposed to be free, how the government can make you have a health insurance you can't afford and then fine you when you can't pay. It takes most of his money to keep his vehicle insurance which is to protect other drivers and himself.
