I may not have gotten complete quiet, but I did a Body Flow (Yoga) class after my Body Pump class that was really nice and relaxing by the end. And after I got the little one in bed, I had some really nice time to myself on this site and just relaxing in my new definition of quiet(no loud toddler running around).

i did it and didnt know i was doing this one i have this awsum new meditation its simple it goes like this breath in slowly let it out and thats one then you do it for a count of 4 you wouldnt beleave how sumthing that simple could make you feel

This is why I so enjoy my walks, and it looks like it is clearing up enough to walk outside today, The treadmill is an option but, not for relaxing, If all else fails, I will read, I am reading "The Red Badge Of Courage". I am going to read as many of the old classics that I can this year, I am on my second one. I read "The Secret Garden", by Francis Hodgson Burnett, it was great, I had read it or a shortened version of it when I was a kid, Now this one is not my cup of tea, but I will finish it, and Oliver Twist is next. I got a kindle for Christmas, and decided to read the classics, they are free to get, and something I have always planned on doing.
So if that doesnt clear my head from daily life, nothing will.

I do that when I run. I won't think about work or family or chores or my to-do list at home. I just run and focus on my music and my breathing. It's one of my favorite things about running!

emoticon I actually took 45 minutes this morning re-reading all the holiday newletters I received and actually taking notice of what they said. I enjoyed my coffee and made mental notes of those I need to touch base with, those I need to add to prayer list, etc. I did not think about the dishes that needed doing, the lundry that needed folding, just enjoyed catching up.

Happy Monday to you!

Our challenge today is to CLEAR OUR MIND AND CONCENTRATE ON RELAXATION FOR 30 MINUTES.

The holidays are over. Life resumes today. Take just 30 minutes out of your day to focus on peace and quiet. Turn off the phone, computer, and television. Put the kiddos in their room for 30 minutes.

Great ways to clear your mind and relax are:

*Meditation (i.e. yoga, spiritual reading)
*Sit outside and listen to nature
*Put on classical music and close your eyes for 30 minutes
*Go for a slow walk and enjoy the nature around you

Just for 30 minutes today, allow yourself not to stress. Make time for you to be quiet and relaxed.
