Good Afternoon all,
I did not even get onto SP yesterday. Worked all day and then went to watch my youngest in his hockey tournament last night. Unfortunately i didn't get in level 2 of ripped in 30 either. I am off work this week-end so i will attempt level 2 this afternoon..soon actually. I was however down 1lb this morning so i put it in my weight tracker. So happy to see a result on my weight ticker finally. Tomorrow is my birthday so i am really hoping to have another lb lost. I told my husband UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, DO NOT BUY DORITOS TONIGHT!!!LOL that is my Sat night weakness.
Maria- hope your vacation is going well, it sounds amazing:)

emoticon P.S we are having a beautiful sunny week-end here. emoticon

want it...work for it...earn it...enjoy it...you deserve it!!!

maria - enjoy and have fun.

Well, the weather was so nice this afternoon the kids played for almost 3 hours outside. hope it wore them out so they will sleep in a bit. when the clouds came and I was slightly chilled, I ran up the hill in the back yard (my own treadclimber) I didnt count how many times or minutes, but I was winded, the hill is pretty steep. A little extra boost today.

Good Evening ladies,
Probably afternoon in USA. I am still in Switzerland (feel terrible have not worked out) but have done alot of walking. We are off to Milan, Italy tomorrow via train for the day. I will be back home Monday night late and will REALLY need to concentrate on getting back on track when I get home. All there is to eat in Switzerland is CHEESE, BREAD and CHOCOLATE!

Hi everyone!
Been a busy few days, Yesterday was my "rest" day from working out but I didn't get any rest - lol. Crazy busy day with appts, cleaning, etc.
Today, I ran 10 miles! That was exciting.
The weather is still blah here. Have a fun weekend in store - we have a roller skating party to attend tomorrow - woohoo! I love roller skating!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Stay focused and stay safe!

candikan - thank you. Yes there is a lot of yelling cause some days feels that that is the only way they hear me. I talk fine at least 3 times and no response, and then I just get frustrated. The boys are almost 7 and the other will turn 5 later this summer. This morning was pretty good, I told them they HAD to clean up the basement which they didn't want to, but I told them it wasn't an option cause it was so bad and they always get to earn a sticker for cleaning up IF they are on "green" If they are on yellow or red they have to clean up things to EARN their way back to green status. once they earn 8 stickers they earn $2 (takes them MONTHS to fill up 8) And I also said if they don't clean up the basement I can start to cancel plans I have for the week. Then after the basement they CHOSE to clean their rooms as well!!!! BONUS!

Well, in a bit we are going to go run them outside for a long time today since it's nice. Tomorrow I think we are going to try and hit the planetarium and dinner. A few more things planned later in the week, and maybe a library day on a rainy day as well.

I am going to sign up again for the www.kidsbowlfree.com where any kids under 12 or I thought I saw this year under 15. are able to bowl 2 games per day for the summer (dates are listed when you pick a location) only pay for shoe rentals. Plus then they offer a deal for a total of 4 adults / teens to also bowl 2 games per day for the summer Last year it was about $25, I think I heard this year is $30. but still if you bowl a couple times this summer it well pays for itself. This will be my fun rainy day outings. You don't HAVE to do the adult ones, but I figure I may as well. I have my own shoes anyway.

Well, sorry that got so long today.

Beckie- that does go away. I know how you feel about not getting away from it, I did home daycare for 10 years!! My husband works several hours a day, so sometimes I feel like a single mom. Now I have learned that if you talk to them & not yell- it helps alot. I learned that from my new job, working in a school 4-8th grades as the Librarian. I'm not saying you yell at them...I yelled at mine!! I can't remember how old you said your kids were, I just try to make deals with mine. You do this & I will do this. :) It might be worth a try :)

well, for now, I found a Kenpo X on Ebay for a buy it now with shipping for $14.80 So It is on it's way. At least I can work with that for a while and keep working with all the jillian DVD's.I think it will still be a good weekend workout for something different. I wasn't sure about the bob one's, cause I really can't stand to hear him talk. HAHA. I had the biggest loser game for the wii, and I picked Jillian for the game and ends up Bob is the one talking through almost the entire workout. She just says a few lines to yell at you. It just started to bug me.

With the boys - I am just sick of all the picking at each other, fighting, wrestling, "that's mine, you can't have it......" I want to sit there, that's my spot, stop kicking me, he took that, he did.............. and having to still help with so much. at least that part is getting a little easier. Maybe cause since June I have now become a stay at home mom and have no place to get away from it. Granted I was only working 2 days a week, but sometimes that can help. And now with my husband's current work, I am the only one for quite a few weeks at a time. I may take a day and have a WHOLE SPA DAY.

Beckie-it does get easier in some ways as the boys get older, however new issues are always surfacing.LOL oh joy!
AJP5763-I have been doing ripped in 30 for the past 2wks. My workouts are yet to be super consistent so this morning i'm just finishing wk 1. Tomorrow on to wk 2. It does take alot of time and effort to track calories. My advice, take the time and add all your reg food into the favorites section, then when your adding food all you have to do is go to your favorites. So much easier.
Yaminokodomo-thanks for the encouragement. I will keep pushing forward. I have loss this weight before and i know if i put in the work it will happen again.

Have a skinny Thursday everyone!! emoticon

HAIRZONA- yes we are watching basketball & more basketball. Sorry to say I don't have a pick, I don't care who wins- I just love the intensity!!

CUDA440- honestly NO it doesn't get any easier. When they older the sports become more frequently, we were gone about 3 nights a week for games & YES traveling up to an hour away.

I am happy to hear everyone is doing great! Keep up the workouts & work your butt off. We should be more motivated now, more than ever!!

Have a great Wednesday evening!!

AJP I am doing the Ripped in 30 each week / level for 2 weeks straght, 5 days a week. I am finishing up my second week on week 2. Currently I am thinking about trying one of Bob's Inside out method called Cardio conditioning just to mix it up for a bit and who knows where that will lead me. But like you I wasn't sure what to do next.

I did not get to my 30 Day Ripped today, and I have plans after work. I am just wondering what people's weekly schedule looks like. I am going to do the 30 Day Ripped for 30 days (5 days a week) and then don't know what should be next. I try to run but have not been consistent with it and found the 30 day shred really hard on my knees along with running. I have the a few of the other DVDs but seem to have difficulty when they are longer than 35 minutes.

starla BFBM = jillian's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism DVD workout. It's a great cardio and toning workout. I LOVE IT

If you did it today, you maybe sore for a few days. But TRY and do it as soon as you can again and it won't be so bad after a day or two.

Hi Guys!
I joined this team yesterday, but only just been able to check it out properly now.
I have done 30DS a few times & I just got BFBM yesterday! It kicked my butt! But I did manage the whole thing emoticon
I do quite a bit of cardio, walking/running, and now it's time for me to start incorporating some strength and toning work to get the shape I want.

I look forward to getting to know you all emoticon

Ok, THANKS, I will do a search and see if I can locate it. But I may have to buy the whole P90X whole set. Since I didn't find much searching yesterday I was thinking of pulling out the old taebo workouts. I have plenty of those around.

You are so right! I completely forgot about Kenpo from P90X - I LOVE that for a cardio workout! I also love (oldie but goodie) Billy Blanks Bootcamp.

Woke up with sore shoulders from week 2 of RI30 today. Wow!

Was disappointed in Courtney and Jen's decisions last night on BL.....

Hello to all the new comers to the team! And hello and EVERYONE on the team! So many mothers in this team, its awesome! You guys are definitely showing your kids that you are strong women and that you can kick butt! lol

For girlsf I agree with what everyone said! Also switch up your workouts every 2 to 3 weeks with some new workouts so your body doesnt get used to the same thing, that definitely helps!

If you want to try a new cardio workout I say try Kenpo X from the p90x workouts, you will definitely enjoy it! When I first started doing the BFBM I told one of my friends to try it because it reminded me of some of the p90x workouts and I knew she would enjoy it! Kenpo X is such a great workout, I really suggest it for something new!

Its FINALLY sunny AND a bit warm outside which is making me very happy! I feel kind of pretty today! Got in part of my workout this morning, will do the rest after work! I am starting to feel a bit more motivated today which is great! I miss that motivation feeling!

HAIRIZONA dont worry the scale is going down and thats all that matters, dont think about those two pesky pounds you had gained before, just think of the pound that you lost this week, celebrate it, and keep moving forward!

Hope you all have a wonderful hump day!

Happy BL Tuesday everyone! Woohoo - I can't wait for tonight's episode!

Well, I completed Level 2 of RI30 today - OMG! The good news is 1) I didn't die and 2) I was able to use the 8lb and 10lb wts the entire time. But goodness JM kicked my butt!
My 6 yr. old said - whew, I don't think I will buy this DVD when I am older. I tried not to laugh.
During the first round of Level 2 my shoulders were screaming!

As far as a good cardio DVD - I, too, don't like dancy DVD's, and BFBM is my go to cardio DVD. I typically get my cardio in by running or using the elliptical on my cross training days. But I have found that I love Zumba for Wii so I alternate it with my elliptical days.

I am taking VCU all the way! Actually, being from Nebraska I had picked Kansas but living in Virginia I am going to have to jump on the VCU bandwagon. LOL.

I also have 2 boys but one is almost 7 and the other will be 5 this summer. So tell me..... does it get easier????? They tire me out so much, and can not listen and drive me crazy, even worse when they are together. Love it when the oldest is at school.

I am also looking for suggestions for a really great CARDIO DVD. I have BFBM and have been doing 4 times a week since Nov 1. So I am ready for a change. I also do 3 days a week Kettlebell workout, and 5 days a week Ripped in 30. SO I have plenty of strength. Looking for something to fill in on Weekends. I don't like Turbojam, or walk away the pounds. or any dancy complicated moves. That is why I love Jillian's so much.

Candi-my boys are 11&9. We watched a documentary last night on the "Fab Five". My husband and i remember them from the old days. You must be watching "March Madness". Any picks?

So i weighed in this morning. Good news is i was down 1lb from last Tuesday...bad news is when i tracked it in my weight tracker, i realized i am up 1lb from 2wks ago. That is when i set my 15lb goal. So unfortunately no movement on my weight loss ticker this week:(

Okay so in JM words...less talk more action. I'm putting Ripped in 30 in my laptop now.
Have a great Tuesday everyone. BL tonight!!!! emoticon

HAIRZONA- Yes I have 2 sons, a senior & a freshman. Dalton my oldest is attending a community college in the fall on a full ride scholarship for basketball. Dane is more of a home body, he will play sports but only for fun (he doesn't like to play everyday). emoticon

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!

I agree - I love seeing the activity and little updates on everyone on this chat. emoticon

And yes - very important - water, water, water - lots of water is great for weight loss!

I have a busy week this week......not really sure why but lots of running around - appts, errands, etc. BUT, my workouts will be done first and then once my youngest is at afternoon Kindergarten I will rush through the others.

Hope everyone had a great Monday. I know mine was wonderful and very productive!

Hi everyone, nice to see lots of activity on this thread.
I agree with everyone's good advice on losing weight. Measuring and tracking your food really keeps you accountable. Watching your sugar and salt is huge, drinking 60-100oz water/day helps too. I think the biggest and most challenging part of losing weight is being consistent. If you are determined to lose that weight in 14wks your really going to have to dig deep. emoticon

Candi-do you have a child who plays basket-ball? I have a 11yr old son who plays. it is so much fun to watch.

HAIRIZONA- I'm doing pretty good...I know I was MIA over the weekend, but it was very busy. I believe we are finally done with high school basketball...now to wait for the fall for colllege basketball.
My leg is doing much better, I just need it to stay that way.

Hi I'm new to the team and was wondering how to track my Jillian Michaels Burn Fat Boost Metabolism workout. Any ideas? I really want to lose 20 lbs in 14 weeks and I'm hoping this team and Jillian's workouts will help me stay motivated! Good luck to everyone!

I'm in VA and this weather is crazy! Woke up to snow on the ground. Ugh. I am just tired of yucky weather. Bring on some warm weather with sunshine!

As for the 10lbs - honestly, everyone is so different. Cardio, cardio, cardio is what I would say and watch your calories and more importantly the quality of your calories. BUT, with that being said when I was losing all my weight I had weeks of great 3-5 lbs loss and then weeks of 0.5 or nothing. It is all so crazy. I highly encourage Clean Eating. I need to get back to it but when I went clean last year before my retirement ceremony and started running 3x a week, I went from 125 to 112 in a month. It was bizarre.
Good luck.

girlfs I wish I could help you with that. It has taken me from Jan 1 till now to lose 10 lbs. It's just not easy.

rhondalyn I had to check where you were at, cause here in Michigan we are suppose to get 2-5" on Wed. YUCK! sunny and looks nice but still only 30 outside. I am sick of it.

Good afternoon, worked all day today. Sunny ,but cold here. Haven't worked out much this week. Weight has been yo-yoing this week. Need to get through this week-end and hopefully have a good weigh-in on Tuesday. Like to see that weight tracker move, even a little:)

Welcome back to SP land! Have fun catching up on BL!
The Zumba party/class you went to sounds like a blast.
I agree - it is really pretty out and the sun is shining brightly but it is fooling us all as it is frigid out there! And then they are saying snow tomorrow! UGH! I despise that four letter word! I want my spring weather!!! Hope you have a great weekend!

Hey SOKKERNUT! I know this is late but hope you have a wonderful and safe trip! You have to let us know how your vaca was when you come back!

I am gonna catch up to BL today! I am trying to catch up with EVERYTHING today! LOL Havent been able to spark much so made little visits to my spark friends and also wanted to see how my spark teammates are doing! Seems like you all are doing great and yes I agree warm weather where are you! Its beautiful and sunny out but it is COLD! I want beautiful sunny and WARM! lol

I have never been to a spa! I have to do that one day, hope you enjoy!

Have fun with the workouts today RHONDA! I went, this past tuesday, to a zumba class that was done at a club! It was awesome and I suggest trying to look around your area to see if there is a place that does that by you! It was from 7 to 10 pm, my friends and I got there at 8. Two hours of just dancing our booties off and the best part was that there was a dj there so the music was pumpin', and the lights were dim and there was a disco ball, it was just awesome!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Gonna go make me a pb&j sandwitch and then gonna finish watching the two BL episodes I missed!

Ahhhh, a spa day! How fun! I try to go monthly for a massage - it is so worth it and since I have been logging so many miles my muscles really need it!

Today I got my Ripped in 30 in and a 20 minute Zumba on Wii done. Woohoo. Off to run errands - in the cold rain.

Hope everyone is doing well, staying warm and having a great day!
